Great place. The guys can fix anything. I brought in a toasted laptop, and they fixed it in 20 minutes. The price was super reasonable and the guys there are very friendly. A couple months later I took in my cracked iPhone 6. $ 120, 30 minutes, and good as new. I send everyone there. I’m very impressed with them.

After being strung along by another company in Vista on Melrose Avenue who kept saying that the shipment for the glass for the phone would be in, I ordered a replacement glass for my LG Optimus Pro E980. The other store had the white glass/​screen in stock but not the black and said that a shipment was due Wednesday, then Thursday, then «I don’t know why it hasn’t been sent.» So I called and ordered a screen on Friday and they said that it would be in the following Tuesday and that they would give me a call. They took my CC info but not my name, which I thought was really odd and I even offered it to them. No need, they said and just had my first name and phone number. First bad gut feeling. So Tuesday arrives and no call by 5pm. So I called and they said that they had left messages on a number that was one digit off from my number. Weird. The screen had been in the store. So I rushed over to the store before they closed at 7pm and walked into a very unconventional store. More like someone’s garage with display cases to separate you from their workspaces/​office area. I told them that I had called and they took my phone and said be back in 30 minutes. They didn’t take my name and I am either stupid or too trusting. Thoughts of identity theft immediately went through my head. How easy is it for someone to just get stuff off your phone. I quieted those thoughts and hoped that they were just the usual tech types. They installed the glass and I paid the remainder of the cost, since they took a deposit over the phone. The glass looked brand new and the phone is a little less responsive to the touch on certain screens, but it feels like it did. It hasn’t been a month yet, just a week and I hope that there will be no problems. You have a 30 day guarantee. The really weird thing is that the following Monday, I get a call from my bank’s credit card services company saying that there is fraudulent activity on my credit card, which I had used last at this store. Someone had my CC number and was trying to buy travel bookings, Walmart purchases, pet products with my card number. I called the Cali Techs to tell them and to make sure that their system was secure and they assured me that it was. I don’t want to accuse anyone of wrongdoing but if there is mischief afoot here, I have my eye on it. Otherwise, I would pay differently next time.

Took my iPhone in about a week ago to get a cracked screen fixed. First off, the store is a weird place. Seems to be more of a boys hang-​out club than a business. A VERY interesting business model to say the least. After they repaired my phone all seemed good… but within a couple of days I noticed yellowing around the corners of the screen, there were two small bubbles in the middle & one of the corners is loose and not fully pushed into the phone. Plainly put, not the quality of work I paid for. I would suggest going somewhere that actually knows what they are doing.

You ever watch the Twilight zone? Walking out of CaliPhoneya will leave you saying «wtf just happened?». I might be a little scarred…
This is NOT a professional or authorized phone repair shop. This is 2 guys who rented a space and slapped a sign on the door. The inside décor was a red flag but I’m just too hopeful and optimistic and sometimes regret it later. This was one of those times.
When the LCD on my iphone 5s came loose (not cracked) and digitized I wanted to take it to a good place for a quick repair. The closest place I found to Fallbrook is Vista. Normally i would go to oceanside or carlsbad but I didn’t feel like driving 45 min to get my phone fixed. CaliPhoneya had 6 good reviews on google and 30 min from my house. So i crossed my fingers and said lets hope they’re good.
They told me they’d fix it in 45 min to an hour. i was also told that he was putting on an «original Apple LCD with a refurbished glass».
I went to run some errands, came back and it was done. yey. $ 105 ($ 100 repair plus $ 5 plastic screen protector.)
When I got home i noticed a slight yellow line across the bottom of the screen. The next morning i saw a more visible yellow line across the top of the screen (image attached). Now had I paid $ 30 for this new LCD, i wouldn’t mind it. But since it cost me $ 105, I called them and they said to drop by and they’ll take a look at it.
After a 30 min drive, I show up and they’re still closed. The man had failed to inform me that they open at 11am. When I called they told me they were running 15 min behind. Finally they open and I bring in my phone and they told me they will «play around with it» and to give them an hour or hour and a half. I had my 1 year old with me so this did not make me happy.
An hour later they called my sister’s phone and told her they needed a new LCD but were out of stock and it would take a few days to get one. At that point I just wanted my phone back and a refund so I can get it fixed elsewhere the same day.
My sister went in to pick up my phone while I stayed in the car with my son. The man inside did not ask for ID or a receipt and actually let her take my phone. I think I was the only business they’ve had in days because when she said shes there to pick up her sister’s phone he immediately brought my phone to her.
The 2^nd screen he put on was not the one he had replaced it with the first time, nor was it the original screen I came in with. This one had cracks and debris and glue stain under the glass. He also put a «brand new screen protector» on top of this cracked screen which also had air bubbles and a scratch on it. My sister said it didn’t look new and he got so pissed about her picking it apart, he just ripped it off the screen. She asked for a refund and for the original screen we brought in. He then went and replaced it for a third time (took 5 min) and put on a completely CRACKED screen.(image attached) She then tells him this isn’t the original screen we came in with, he clearly got aggravated and replied «at least this screen works, the one she came in with didn’t even work»
Why did he not give me my original screen back? Because he will probably slap it on someone else’s phone and charge $ 100 for it. I feel like my iPhone got raped and barely made it out alive.
I finally went to A-​Z Wireless in Carlsbad to now have it repaired the correct way, Rahim took it apart right in front of me and informed me 1. the sensor is broken, screws were missing, and there was a missing panel inside. This would now cost me an ADDITIONAL $ 65 to repair on top of $ 100 for a new LCD. He also informed me about their LCD screens being same quality as Apple but not original apple LCDs, and that no one’s legally allowed to sell Apple screens besides Apple.
Now if the guy at CaliPhoneya did not break my sensor, he should have been able to identify this problem and notify me about it: he did not which proved to me his lack of iphone knowledge. Rahim at A-​Z wireless also informed me that the only way the yellow line appears on a screen (that first repair attempt at CaliPhoneya) is when the incorrect glue is used to glue the lcd screen to the phone, when it dries and thickens at the edges creating a pressure at the edges hence the yellow line. This is something a professional knows and can identify immediately and not need to play around with it to figure it out.
Not only do they not know what they’re doing, they’re also egotistical about it. A good business should have the customer’s satisfaction as their main goal even if that means a refund. I would go back and demand the extra $ 65 they cost me in repairs, but lets face it, they will deny they did anything wrong and not give me any money back. All their 1 star Unilocal review replies clearly all point the blame at the customer.

They fixed the phone and gave us a free glass screen protector. Glad they took care of the problem. I’d probably go back if I needed a phone fixed as long as they take care of it the first time around.

I just went in today to get a cracked Iphone 4 screen replaced and battery replaced. The guy fixed it in 25 minutes and I was out of there. I did call in first and they did have the parts in stock.
I also had a Nokia Lumia 928 screen repaired there before and they did great on that one too.

I waited a month to write this review just in case something happened with the repair. Nothing but good things to say. They quoted me fairly and finished right on time. Even got a clear protection film without asking. Phone works great. Thanks guys.

I’ve gone here twice for help with a rooted device.
While I normally have been able to root my devices and get them going with custom ROMS, I’ve had some issues with Verizon devices, and Rich saved my bacon. They helped save what I thought were two bricked devices. Price and same day turn around make this the only place I’ll ever go, even though I don’t live in Vista anymore.

Where to begin… I’ve used these guys a couple times and my last experience pretty much sealed the deal on looking for a new place for phone repairs.
I have an HTC One… When my screen cracked, it was a simple line right down the middle. Called for a replacement and was told I would have to pay a 50% deposit (which I did via PayPal within 5 minutes) because they had to order the screen. I had to follow up multiple times on different days to find out the status of the screen being shipped. When the screen arrived 8 days later I took the phone in. When I got it back it was in worse condition than when I got it.
1. The screen wasn’t staying in the phone, literally the edges were lifting up. Offered to put more glue on the screen and had me keep a rubber band on it (which didn’t work in the long run).
2. Power button was Jacked up. I mean, seriously I had to dig my nail into the power button to turn the phone on or off.
3. Ordered me an AT&T shell when I have Sprint.
4. GPS radio no longer worked. Worked fine when I brought it in.
5. Edges of the phone were marred from them attempting to separate the body.
The thing that bothered me the most is that the owner was quick to respond to texts when it came to being paid but when I text him again and said «The GPS is no longer working» I received no response. EVER. The only reason I got my screen fixed in the first place was to warranty out my phone. After having an AT&T shell instead of Sprint, I had to go to 3 different Sprint locations before someone was willing to warranty replace. Regardless of if I was going to warranty the phone or not, I want everyone who may use their service that these are the potential issues you’ll run in to. The only reason I gave 3 stars instead of one is because they gave me a discount for them using an AT&T donor phone and the owner finally responded after 5 months.

Very helpful and cheaper then most iphone repair shops! Also they have a quick turnaround time, great place, would recommend!

Took my phonw in for a broken LCD screen. Got my phone back with a broken mic owners didn’t fix it or really offer a solution. So I went in with a broken screen, came back with no mic. Rip off

Been here twice (iPhone 4 and 5, water damage both times). Labor and parts costs are reasonable, cost about $ 60-​$ 70 each time total. Staff was professional and informative, never tried to upsell us or anything. Would definitely recommend them.

I jacked my iPad up about as much as I possibly could. Brought it in and the guys fixed it quick and I was back at it in no time. Came back a few weeks later because it started to bug again and they did a bit more work on it, free of charge which was sweet. It worked for a while again but I am pretty sure that something was messed up internally and it wasnt just a quick fix so they bought it from me for about as much as I spent on the repair.
Spot on guys keep up the good work. Will bring my devices to you in the future.

these guys are jerks. couldnt even tell me where the dang place was other than «a blue building on S. santa fe» took me like 40 mins to find it. Arrived 20 mins before closing.
they shooed me out the door saying my iphone didnt have a fix. took it to Aplus in Encinitas lower price quicker service.

I got to say this place is awesome I droped my phone earlier this morning and the LCD screen went out I freaked out cuz my life was over lol went online found this place on craigslist called the people at the store I told him my problem they said it could’ve been one of two things I brought the phone and he looked it over he replaced my screen and I was in and out of there within 25 minutes friendly service very professional I will recommend all my friends to this place I got to say I got love for CALIPHONEYA!

Just pass. They seemed like they would be great, did the job (screen repair on iphone 3gs) quickly– actually while working on another job yet seemed to multitask well. BUT, the screen had many problems, it wasn’t installed correctly.
I took it back, they did a so so job repair for free, while he was watching a video on the computer. They are polite, they are nice enough, but they don’t really do a great job. My screen is on the clock, only a matter of time until it needs repair again. It wasn’t put in flush, the button didn’t work properly, and after the 2^nd repair there are still gaps between the frame and screen. Just try somewhere else, these are two guys who began a partnership and kinda think they are too cool.

Helpful, friendly and well-​priced. In and out in 25 minutes. I had an issue with the install and the owner took care of it in 5 minutes free of charge.

It is 10:18 as I write this, this stores hours are posted as 10:00 — 6:00. I called the posted phone number (at 10:04 after being greeted by a locked door) and the man who answered said he was at the bank and would be here in 10 minutes. I don’t care how great your product or service is, keep to your posted hours! Business 101. Time now is 10:20am. If I wasn’t picking something up I would go somewhere else. Very bad business manners…
Update: they (two of them) finally arrived at 10:23. One of them could have (and should have) been here at opening and let the other make a bank run.
I know this isn’t their first time being late to their business, as my husband ran into the same thing when dropping off our iPad to be fixed.
