I love this shop! My husband and I wouldnt take our car anywhere else, staff is very friendly and the owner remembers us everytime and is so welcoming. I feel they are very fair with their prices and do try and help you with cheaper options if they are available. Very trust worthy and honest, they never do any surprised work or hidden fees, makes sure you know exactly what they plan on doing and charging for before they proceed in any service. I would and do recommend this shop to everyone, they treat their customers like family.

Best service I have ever had! The owner stayed late for me to drop off my car, and he worked with us to get the cost of repairs down as much as possible. Repairs were done quickly, and the best part was when I went to pay, it was about $ 50 cheaper than initially quoted… When has that ever happened at an auto shop! I will come here for all my repairs from now on!

I caught a flat tire around 6pm this past week. Most all of the other repair shops in the area were closed or closing at that time but Emerald Auto was open until 7pm.
However by the time my car was towed to Emerald by AAA, it was well past their closing time. Regardless, Kevin (shop manager) and his technicians stayed over an hour past their closing time to make sure they took care of my situation and got me back on the road! The team there was courteous, friendly, and went far above and beyond the call of duty. Even after staying an hour past closing time, at the end Kevin got me back on the road and surprisingly AT NO CHARGE! That’s right. He said it was simply a tire he put on my car and that it was no big deal and he was happy to help. I couldn’t believe it.
I cannot recommend this shop highly enough for any and all of your car service needs. Kevin and his crew will take care of you.

Very disappointing. They are on the AAA list for companies that do the AAA inspection, and I chose them due to their great Unilocal reviews. The receptionist made it very clear they were in no hurry to get that done and said she could get me in for oil change today and inspection sometime maybe the end of February. It is a shame as I needed a mechanic (that is not the dealership) and they are right by my house. I will give the AAA list one more try, if not it will be back to the dealership for me. I will be sure to let AAA know my findings as well.

As a female i am always weary about going to mechanic shops. A good friend of mine recommended this one to me, since i just moved here to vista awhile ago. When i first arrived i was a little reluctant at first, the person who attended me told me he was not a regular employee, and he was just helping the family of the owners that week. Let me tell you, for not being a regular employee, he treated the business as if were his own, and everything i wanted done was taken care of on a timely basis, and at very reasonable price.
I plan on getting all of my regular work done there, and I would recommend them to any of my friends or co-​workers.
I think another thing that made the experience a little easier was the fact there is a Starbucks within a short walking distance from there. So while my car was being serviced, i got a little exercise, and was able to do a little work while enjoying a frothy latte at Starbucks.
So yes, Do not hesitate taking your vehicle to them, they are friendly and honest.

Yesterday I stopped by to have my car looked at because it shimmied at 70. The staff treated me like an old friend, concerned for my safety as well as respectful of my busy holiday schedule. They really went beyond VIP treatment, they got me into s rental vehicle within ten minutes and on my way. My car needed additional servicing to get me safely back on the road, they phoned me, advised me what was needed, asked if I wanted to do the recommended repairs, and had it completed before they closed last evening. A week ago I was towed to Emerald Auto Service (a AAA recommended facility) because my car engine died as I was exiting the 78-​free way (going west) off the Emerald exit. The mechanics at Emerald Auto quickly determined that my fuel pump was no longer working. They helped me arrange for a rental car and repaired my car. Everyone was pleasant and extremely helpful.
After driving my car for a day, a super strong gas smell was being emitted. I called Emerald Auto and was told to have my car towed back in for review. There was a gasket problem associated with the fuel pump. Though this «was not their fault,» nor «my fault,» they fixed the gasket issue at no cost to me.
So while I really know nothing about cars (except that maintaining them is very important, especially since my Carlsbad-​based acupuncture practice involves occasional house calls) it is important that my car be in working order.
I appreciate the time and care the folks at Emerald Auto took to work on my car.
Not a fancy place, but one you can trust with your older cars.

These guys were extremely eager to help us! My SUV was having problems starting and they were easy from beginning to end. I went in for an alignment, and was extremely satisfied with the quality of work! The entire staff was filled with exceptionally qualified members, and their product was nothing short of perfection. They ensured the utmost care to my vehicle, and stand by their work. It’s been a couple weeks since my service, and no concerns in regards to the work completed to my vehicle. I drive an older model Lexus es330 and this is my daily driver and I drive a lot and I had been very leery of independent auto shops b/​c of «preconceived notions» that I carry with me from the East Coast.
Emerald Auto Service and my main contact there, Kevin, really dispelled all those notions/​fears talking to me about service and what was needed and «what could wait». He was honest and I trust him and the work that Emerald Auto Service did to my Lexus;
-(oil change pan that had to «cure» overnight) so that it would not break down the line
–front brakes
–All major Service needed on Lexus for certain mileage
At the end of the day, you leave your car and hope for the best. With Emerald Auto, you know you are getting their best!
These guys know their stuff, trust them.

I’ve been using Emerald Auto Body for some time now. Shannon at the front desk is always very pleasant and professional and the one time there was an issue, she was very apologetic and did what she could to rectify the situation.
In that particular incident, my control console on my drivers door stopped working so I could not roll down any windows with my driver side switches. I brought it in, they ordered the part (which arrived within hours as opposed to days. That was pretty awesome.) and replaced it. but it needed to be reset by Chevy. I was not informed of this until after and that resulted in me having to make another stop. While this was irritating, Shannon was very understanding to my being frustrated, talked to the owner and reduced the price of repairs.
I understand that sometimes mistakes happen. I was very impressed with this shops willingness to make up for their error.
Otherwise, every single time I’ve brought my vehicle in (quite a few times), they have done amazing work. I am very pleased with them and will continue to be a returning customer!

So far we have good service as far as our car being serviced here. The first time we came there was some miscommunication by the receptionist, I can understand mistakes happen. I was upset due the fact that i had work that morning and i was waiting around. After our first visit i checked the hours of business on Google and the hours are different on on Unilocal.They open at 830 on saturdays, not 8am like we were told. Perhaps she was tired, happens to all of us.
Besides that one incident service has been fine, they have taken care of my girlfriend’s mini with no hassle.

I have been using Emerald Auto for my vehicle maintenance for a year now and I should have written my review a long time ago. I have never been disappointed. Right from the first contact with Shannon. She is courteous, knowledgeable, and can multi-​task like its nobodys business! Reception is clean and neat, with a fine selection of reading materials while you wait sipping on yummy coffee. I get reminder calls when I need an oil change, which is such a great deal in itself. Their prices are very competitive and reasonable. Emerald Auto always has time for me, I don’t need to wait weeks to get in! My tail light went out, and I decided to swing by on my way to pick up my son from the Montessori school next door. No appointment, they were swamped and still got it done right then. Kevin will listen to your concerns, accurately diagnose and communicate with you what needs to be done and then do everything to make sure your vehicle is taken care of correctly and swiftly. I absolutely recommend Emerald Auto to everyone. You will not be disappointed. They are stuck with me!
