Their gorditas&sopes are the best in north county! Love coming here after work for dinner or on the weekends!

Great food! One of my favorite local Mexican food spots. Good value, less expensive price, higher quality food! I enjoy the carne asada burritos, beef tostadas, gordita, and super nachos.

Generous portions, big oversize burrito, that is heavy in weight. Thanks for tasting good! The best Mexican restaurant on the block!

Food poisoned from this place. Ate there yesterday, was in the ER for 6 hours, don’t think the meat was cooked properly. Definitely not going there again!

Some of the best carne asada… not thee best but very good. The best part is they pack them THICK full of meat. 4 stars because it’s almost as good as it gets.

Corn Quesadilla — very different from other quesadillas but really good! It’s more like an over-stuffed taco with a handmade corn tortilla. The carne asada is tender and flavorful like a backyard bbq. Beans and rice are kind of bland. California Burrito is really good because of the carne asada. The beef enchilada is nothing especial.
Still have to try the Gorditas, they look promising. There is no A/C just ceiling fans. Lunch Specials everyday for $ 5.99 an entrée rice and beans with a soda; Friday is Corn Quesadilla day.

The service is little slow and the cashier girl doesn’t know how to speak with the customers. Big notice for the managers! Other things the burritos are big enough and so delicious! Thanks guys!

I ordered chicken taco and chicken gordita. I did not enjoy either. This place is very popular so perhaps I ordered the wrong thing. The gordita masa was rough and inedible. The chicken taco was nothing memorable. I don’t think I’ll be coming back to try anything else.

I remember when they 1st opened. They were deliciouse back then. They are Now at another level now with a bigger menu and bigger place. I had a pecadillo qusadilla. That my new favorite. I would recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a great mexican meal.

Why was I not surprised too see nearly all good reviews from this place! Even the very few bad reviews seem to say something good in general lol. I’ve been coming here since they opened. They’ve been around and they are always nice to me the food rocks and so does the staff. Love the tacos but its the gorditas that take the cake. Just had the carnitas gordita with a carne asada gordita. Was not disappointed.

Best veggie Gordita in Vista. Not the cutest but the food is worth it and I really love their rice! Yum yum yum! Raja is better than most!

As a vegetarian, I like to find places with veg friendly options. Stopped at La Gorditas for lunch and got their hand made Rajas and cheese gorditas. The«tortilla» part is hand made with course ground corn and is thicker then a tortilla. The filling is cooked chilies and Mexican cheese– medium spicy. They also have potato tacos, chili rellenos and of course bean and cheese items that I think would be veg friendly.

Don’t let the styrofoam plates discourage you– these meals are yummy! Both red and green salsas are the perfect spice My dad and I were needing a little somethin to get thru the rest of the day and we shared the #1 plate, «two gorditas of your choice with rice & beans,» perfect! I chose the carnitas and my dad ordered the chicharron. Both great! :] I definitely recommend this place if you’re in the area and want some quick mex food! The young cashier girl was super! Always smiling– which is my favourite thing about customer service

This place has the best home made gord it’s. They taste fresh and very authentic. It does take a while to get your order completed but well worth the wait. Reasonable price

The service was great!!! The food had zero flavor. Not bad, not good, just nothing. Bland and boring. Sad cuz I was really excited for some good food tonight. Probably won’t be back.

Oh man. What a find Their carne is superb. I suppose they use flank steak as the flavor and texture is sure divine. Also try the chorizo and potato. Damn this place is good. PS – I’m talking about gorditas here – as their name suggests. Like a pocket of sex. You might be the only gringo here – so you know it’s good.

This place is awesome! Love the carne asada & chorizo potato gorditas. They run about $ 3 each & they’re a pretty good size so 1 could fill you up or if you’re really hungry get the 2 gordita combo. The food is always fresh & piping hot.

This place serves a unique deep fried flat bread taco. I’ve had the chicken, bean and carne versions, but prefer the chicken. They come topped with shredded lettuce, pico de gallo and some queso fresco. I don’t know of another place that serves this unique taco. Hot sauce unfortunately is just«ok» Folks behind the counter are friendly and english is spoken. Offering this uncommon item brings me back once every couple of months. Give it a try!
