one of very few joints that serve Pozole on a continuous basis which puts you at the top of my list for places that I’ll be returning to.

We found this place by randomly stopping here on our way through one time and it was amazing. Like seriously amazing. I was not expecting to get such a great meal. Even the old lady was impressed and she’s much harder to please than me. Next time I’m in Vista I’m definitely stopping by here.

I live nearby and drive past it every day and have never tried it, but I was really craving ceviche and decided to swing by and try this place with my boyfriend and son. We ordered the ceviche, half dozen oysters, rolled tacos, nacho supreme and quesadillas and it was SOGOOD! The oysters were BIG and inexpensive! We ordered our food to go and the service was really great. The lady that rang us out gave us chips to munch on while we ate. Very clean inside and I will definitely be coming back to try new plates! There was a young man who greeted us when we arrived his name was Alfonso I believe? Greeted us right away and asked if we needed any help with the menu and was very welcoming and friendly.

Super good pizole, & that’s hard to come by. Super fresh and authentic. Homemade tortillas made me happy and all the fixings I.e. Cabbage, diced onion, cilantro, oregano,& chile pods. Definitely going to be my new spot when cravings occur.

Came here for the first time today because of the ratings and it wasn’t all that great. If you are looking for good seafood this isn’t the place. The shrimp wasn’t cooked well and the plate we asked for wasn’t anything like what I should have been. The horchata was way to sweet and the salsa was way salty! Shrimp cocktail and tostada was okay. Service wasn’t all that great either and the place was to small. Overall it was a okay experience but I will never come again to this place to eat.

Really wasn’t to impressed with the food or dining area. Had a Carne Asada Burrito and it was just OK. Seasoning of the meat was minimal. My wife had the chicken chimi and the chicken was very dry. They would do better if they served the burritos wet to add more flavor. With so many Mexican eateries in Vista you can surely find a better one for the same value

Let me start with the negatives, because I was impressed enough to come back without it being a 5-star experience. #1 I had the carnitas and the wife had carne asada. Both were tasty, but a tad dry. We each came to this conclusion independent of each other, so I doubt it was coincidence. #2 It’s not cheap. It isn’t expensive, but just keep in mind it’s not a 5 $ burrito joint. #3 The medium salsa is fine, but the two hottest salsas were both bitter. None of them stood out. Okay, that’s the bad stuff. That wasn’t so rough, was it? There is a walk-up window for late-night grubbies(with outdoor bathrooms, as well!) but the interior is reminiscent of a higher-scale Mexican café. There’s a small patio(with a fountain!) and a few kid seats. It opens to a busy street, but it’s a chill environment. The food is good; the quality wedges in-between a taco stand and a restaurant. The portions are big, chips are complimentary, and there are carrots at your disposal. You get your money’s worth. The vibe is casual. The staff is friendly and attentive without being overbearing. All in all: I highly recommend.

Was referred to this place by one of my staff at work. Casual place, clean, great service and nice people. I had the carnitas plate. My husband had the carne asada burrito &3 rolled tacos. The food was excellent. If you’re looking to have authentic Mexican food in Oceanside Vista or San Marcos area, stop by Los Cabos. They have two locations. Vista & San Marcos.

You have to try the breakfast burritos. They are delicious day or night. The mojarra frita is yummy as well. The prices are more than reasonable. Order up anything on the menu, you won’t be disappointed.

Great Carne Asada burritos! Horchata and nachos with guacamole are also very yummy. If you want affordable, authentic, meaty burritos, greasy chips and a casual atmosphere, this is well worth it!

For one of my first tastes of genuine Mexican food, Los Cabos was one of my favorite memories of California. As a recommendation from my fiancé’s grandfather, I was very pleased with the food, especially since I ordered what I know as «camarones diablos,» or «Devil Shrimp.» These shrimp have quite a kick to them, and I’ve only had them once before, and they were homemade by one of my Mexican-born friends. The shrimp at Los Cabos were reminiscent of that homemade dish, and so did not disappoint to provide the proper amount of spice that indicates true Mexican cuisine. This also gave me the opportunity to try sangria-flavored soda(due in part to my botching my Spanish-spoken order, but I was glad for my mistake).

I was craving mexican food but not just any, so I looked for help on Unilocal! I found this little gem and when I say little, it really is a little hidden gem. There is no drive-thru but it is a sit down restaurant that has a sauce bar/spicy carrots for free!(That was a huge plus) Most places charge you for carrots or having additional hot sauce. This place doesnt do that, and the cool thing is the sauce cups itself are pretty huge compared to most places that give you mini cups. I had to ask them to make a special order which was an 8 rolled taco, its not on the menu but they didnt hesitate to make it! Food was great and there was much more meat in the rolled taco that surprised me. Hands down you MUSTVISIT this place!!! The décor inside fits the restaurant design from the inside out and its clean and well kept. I recommend this place to anyone looking for great mexican food. I will be coming back again!
