WORSTRESTAURANTEVER! Oh Unilocal, when will you allow us to give a place an absolute thumbs down/0 stars? My husband and I thought to try out their lunch special and so we ordered the chicken gyro plate and chicken and rice plate. The chicken was ABSOLUTELYBLAND, and had veins up the ying yang. Super icky! So my husband went up to them and told them that he was not comfortable eating the chicken and if he could have a falafel wrap instead. We got the falafel and same thing, it was super sub-par and the falafel was rock hard. He went back to the counter again to say that he wasn’t happy with the food, and the owner of the restaurant started YELLINGATTHETOPOFHISLUNGS. He called my husband a jerk and said that he doesn’t want him as a customer ever, and to go eat at a place that we would find«real Greek food» and for him to also return the soda that came in the combo. DONOT, I REPEAT, DONOTEATHERE!!! THEFOODISNASTY, THEOWNERISMEANANDANABSOLUTEINGRATE!!!

So, the food is ok. The service is good, but the cashier is not very smart. I have been here several times, and when ordering I have substituted zucchini instead of fries. Well, today I did my usual, and as the cashier deleted my fries from the order, proceeded to charge me for an entire order of zucchini. I tried to explain to her that in the past, it was simply a substitution, not deleted and then charged for an entire order of zucchini. Well, bless her dumb-ass little heart, she wasn’t having it !! Lol, so needless to say I paid $ 12 for a damn burger and zucchini !! Won’t be coming back ever again.

This place has gone consistently down hill. It is really hit or miss. They move so slow and appear not to be paying attention. Today I ordered the soup and salad combo. Hubby ordered a calamari sandwich. Place not busy at all and she tried to give me the calamari sandwich which was weird because what guy orders a soup/salad tiny portion. Lettuce was brown. Did not eat. I let them know before we left. very politely I must add. The response was«okay.» Super strange and no apology or offer to refund. Will not be back even Though Hubby liked his sandwich. He can go there without me.

I got food poisoning!!! And I’m 8 months pregnant! I had a gyro, I’m thinking either the meat or the yogurt sauce is what made me sick… but only 4 hours after eating there I was extremely ill! Beware!!!

My boyfriend and I are here visiting from San Francisco. It’s our last day, and I have a taste for a good burger. I came on Unilocal and found this place, which had really good reviews for the most part. I also chose it because they also had Greek food, and my boyfriend has loved Greek food ever since we came back from Greece. I saw that the restaurant closes at 7, so we decided to go around 5. Well, when we got there, I noticed that the place was totally empty, which is always a concern for me. My boyfriend dropped me off in front while he looked for a parking space. When I walked in a young lady was kind cleaning up. I didn’t even get a good hearted hello. I was looking at the menu on the wall, she came over and didn’t say a word. When I realized that she wanted to know my order, I told her that I was waiting for someone… she then barely said ok, and went to the back. When my boyfriend came in, we sat and another couple walked in… it took her a good 10 minutes to come out and stare them down as well. I just said, let’s get out of here, and we left without ordering anything. I see that people really raved about their food, but I want you to at least ACT like your happy to receive the money I’m about to pay you!!! THEREAREWAYTOOMANYOTHERRESTAURANTSTHATWOULDAPPRECIATEMYMONEY! And we found one. Pure Burger in Carlsbad! Extremely nice professional staff and fabulous burgers. I wish I could have given Nikos a ZEROSTARS!!!

dang!!! what an incredible surprise! I stopped here for a quick lunch. The menu looked fairly standard for a little greek place, so I expected standard fare… man, was I wrong! Lamb souvlaki, tender and moist, with perfect seasoning. Gyros meat, perfectly cooked with just a slight crisp to the edges. I substituted the zucchini for the fries… deep fried to a golden brown and incredibly tasty. Blew me away! The salad was fresh and the sauces were just the right combination of cream and spice. Now I’m trying to figure out how to return to enjoy them again for dinner!

My family loves Niko’s! All of the food is probably good, but we always get the gyro plate because it’s too delicious! We choose the Greek salad instead of the French fries — quality greens, feta cheese, assorted veggies and Greek olives, and a very flavorful Greek salad dressing. The gyros are full of tender, moist, spicy gyro meat, with some added veggies and the best taziki sauce — homemade with lots of garlic. The prices are very inexpensive and the staff are friendly. Their baklava is some of the best we’ve had, too.

Needed to find a casual, fairly speedy place for a quick dinner in the area with a friend yesterday, and found this little spot right here on Unilocal. I ordered the 8 oz cheeseburger with Gyros, with well done fries, and my friend ordered the ¼ chicken plate. Both were on their Daily Specials menu and came with a drink. I also ordered a side salad. The wait for the food the seemed a tiny bit long, given that there was hardly anyone in the place, but it was well worth it. The well done fries were nice and crispy, the salad was fresh with good dressing, also came with a couple slices of pita and some tsatziki(sp?) sauce. The burger was flavorful, if a bit messy to eat, partly because they had added their own ‘special sauce’ to it, which eliminated the need for added ketchup or mayo. I’m a big eater, and the burger plate and the added salad was just enough to be satisfying, without having me feel totally stuffed walking out of there. Perfect, since my friend and I were on our way to a couple of events afterward. My friend said his chicken was good as well. He’s a bit more of an upscale place kind of guy, so that was probably fairly high praise coming from him. lol Niko’s isn’t exactly in my normal travel radius, but I will definitely stop by again when I’m in the neighborhood. Reading a few of the reviews makes me want to try their breakfast!

Stopped at Niko’s to get takeout. We got the kabob plate and a gyro. Overall the food was good, not a ton of flavor, but good.

The Greek salads with the greek dressing here is A M A Z I N G!!! I’m so lucky to have this gem close to my job. All of my co-workers love it here. They actually showed me the place! The gyros are super delicious too! Most gyros I’ve had are dry and gross, but something about this place is too perfect. They also have breakfast platters. The employees here are super helpful when we order a lot for my co-workers. This guy even helped me carry the food to my car! Defiently recommend this place!

My coworkers and I have been eyeing this spot for a while now, and today we decided to go try it. Since we didn’t have a menu, we decided to order there instead of calling it in. Our lunch is at 10 am though, so we don’t have to worry about lunch crowds. We ordered: — option #5 Gyro sandwich special, comes with fries and salad and drink — Chicken Creek Salad — option #5 with Chicken — burger with fries –zucchini fries(good!) Those gyro, salad, fries, and drink combo are a good deal at $ 8.99! Everyone seemed to like their food. They were pretty quick in dishing out our to go order too! Will definitely come back.

I had the gyro and lamb kebab and it was good. Service was friendly. There is seating outside. I wouldn’t mind coming back to try the steak burgers. And being right next to Home Depot is great. After fixing all those leaky faucets in your house, stop into Niko’s and grab a gyro sandwich to go ;)

I’ve been here a few times now and I keep coming back. The Gyros are great. The sides are plentiful and the food is delicious. The prices are pretty good for what you get. They have specials at different times that are actually a pretty decent deal. The chicken they cook and put on their Gyros is delicious. I’ve never been disappointed. I do wish there drink selection was a little better… I just end up getting water, but I’ll keep coming back.

Went with a customer — got the Gyro Pita lunch combo with greek salad. Fresh and tasty. The people working there were very nice as well. Give it a try!

This place is actually pretty solid food if you ask me… Niko’s is a pretty interesting menu in which they have a great selection of burgers and a nice selection of Greek food. Been here a couple of times and samples both cuisines, had the Greek chicken which was great but I must say that the steak burger w gyros on the burger and paired with feta fries is amazing and absolutely recommended. The service is good, location is average and food is tasty, highly recommend visiting. Pros– Food Gyros Feta fries Taste Price Service Outdoor seating Cons– Location A tad bit slow Order accuracy(forgot two items in two visits)

I’m going to start by saying, I’m not a fan of Greek food. I normally find it too tangy for me and I’m not a fan of lamb, BUT every single thing I have eaten has been beyond amazing! I love the Grilled Chicken Greek Salad and the dressing that comes with it is the perfect amount, perfect tanginess, and they put it on the side! Plus the pita is such a perfect alternative to croutons. Chicken and Lamb Gyro is cooked to perfection and the sauce is TODIEFOR! Be prepared for the copious amounts of fresh cut, perfectly seasoned, perfectly fried potatoes! My all time favorite is their Breakfast Burrito with Sausage!!! I don’t like breakfast burritos because people don’t know how to make them. It’s not complicated people! This isn’t a soufflé! But who would of known that a Greek place has the best breakfast burrito on Earth! Sausage cooked perfectly and it’s not overly greasy! No side drink of greasy fat! Hash browns are perfectly crispy and more importantly the salsa is on point! Nothing needs to be changed! No matter what you get, they will make it to order which can also be a dilemma if you’re on the 30 min clock, but just call ahead of time and they will have it waiting for you, so you can put those time crunching minutes to better use! Eating and savoring that delicious food! People love to come for Sunday breakfast as well and they serve the food to you as well if you choose to dine in!
