Established in 1999.

Pass ‘N Go Smog Center is the flagship location of San Diego County’s emerging veteran-​owned smog check chain. Kyle Morman, Pass ‘N Go Smog Center’s president, served three combat tours with 3rd Battalion, First Marines out of Camp Pendleton, and is dedicated to bringing integrity and trust back to the fraud-​plagued smog check industry.

Morman, a combat-​disabled infantry and military intelligence veteran, has opened the first smog check facility in Vista aimed at training, employing and finding business ownership opportunities for transitioning service members.

Kyle Morman is also the founder and CEO of MorMan Inc, a leading provider of veteran-​led business solutions in the Southern California region. He has also led local and nationwide initiatives to assist transitioning service men and women find employment in the civilian world.

Kendall Morris is the Lead Technician at Pass ‘N Go Smog Center, Vista’s top-​rated smog test center. Kendall was born and raised in Southern California, and started in the automotive repair field at 18 years old.

Kendall has been a Certified Smog Technician for 28 years, and is Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certified in Electrical and Electronic Systems (A6), Engine Performance (A8), and Engine Repair (A1).

I requested a quote for a car I am currently selling and Kyle responded to me very quickly with a discounted quote. I arrived today a little before 11am and I was out in about 10 minutes! However, that wasn’t quite the highlight of my experience.
Kyle ran a readiness pre test on my vehicle before he did the smog test. Apparently my car’s data was not being read because it’s system was recently restarted and it isnt driven daily. He suggested that I drive the car around for a few days and then bring it back for the smog test. Had he done the smog test without the pre test then it would’ve failed, so he definitely saved me money. Not to mention that he did not charge me for my pre test. I feel like any other place would’ve still ran the smog check to get their money, especially because I’m a female. I found that to be a very considerate of him.
Kyle was knowledgeable and he provided me with high quality customer service. I was treated with the utmost respect. Leaving this place, I got on the phone and I recommended him to my friend and to my mom. I would definitely be back in the near future :)

The reviews are true! Great customer service, great lobby, speedy service, coupons! And I was able to get my registration for my car at the same time! No waiting at the DMV or AAA! I came in at 8:30am on a Tuesday, expecting to have to come back later to pick up my car. But Kyle and his team were so efficient, I was out the door in less than 30 minutes. The only downside to my experience is that I didn’t even have time to finish watching the exciting cooking show the had playing on their lobby big screen, so I’ll never know the secret ingredient to a great English Pea salad. But I think I can get over that.

Quite possibly the fastest smog I have ever had, I just handed the girls who were very courteous and friendly my dmv paperwork, I didn’t need to fill out a thing. Within one minute my car was being smogged, I couldn’t have been there more than 15 minutes and was out the door, I wasn’t aware about the discount if you check in but I will tell my wife who needs a smog. Overall a fast, friendly and trouble free experience. Just hope they stay put where they are.

I didn’t have any paperwork for the smog & usually places make you go home and get it but all they asked was my name, number and address and my registration from last year. That took care of it. It’s close to my house and definitely coming back!

I had previously spoken on the phone to another smog place in Oceanside, and Anthony was curt, rude and seemed like he didn’t realize he was in the customer service business!
It was therefore so refreshing to be greeted on the phone by the kind receptionist and then Kyle who talked me through my questions & graciously took all the time I needed even though he was swamped that day!
The waiting area is clean, with tvs and vending machines, it has a nice little area for kids with a chalk board to play on, which was good because I had to take my 4 children with me.
It wasn’t a long wait, and all the staff was kind! If you check in, you get the 10 $ off, and the price is pretty reasonable!
This shop was about 10 $ more than quoted by the rude shop– but I’d prefer to pay more money to a veteran owned company who treats customers with respect and kindness than someone who acts like they could care less to be there, and could care less if you took your business to them either!

I was there twice this week to get my 2 vehicles smog inspections. The ladies at the front desk are very nice, and their mechanic remembered us the 2nd time we came in. Everyone was nice and professional. We got our vehicle checked in and out quickly. I called in advance to get a quote and it was accurate.

I don’t know how to remove my prior post, so switching to 3 stars in lieu of deleting. Despite the unusual circumstances of my visit, the owner took the time to explain the situation and made it right. I didn’t get the smog but I at least know why and appreciate the level of customer service.

I’ve been coming here for the past couple of years. My first trip here was at their old spot before moving where they are now. I’ve taken my wife’s car and my mothers car there. Now it was my turn as my car turned 6 this year. While I was at the desk getting paperworks together, the owner snagged my keys to get my car ready. Once I was processed in, I sat down not longer than 5 mins when my car pulled up. I thought there was something wrong with it. Next thing you know it wasn’t that, it was done! From the time I came in til the owner said it was done was not more than 10 mins. I kid you not. This is why I keep coming back.

To anyone thinking of getting a smog check west of the Mississippi, I highly recommend that you bring your motorcar to Pass ‘N Go. If you do not own a motorcar, I suggest you borrow one just to bring it in to be smogged. I do not hesitate to endorse the quality or character of this fine EPA mandated testing station.
If you happen to find yourself within the walls of this establishment, you may very meet a fella named Kyle. Now Kyle is, without a doubt, one of the finest business title owners you will ever have the gratification to make a acquaintance out of. I would venture to say that his practices and demeanor will surely make your cares drift away as if on an autumn breeze.
The waiting arena is well endowed with all manner of tasty treats that for a fraction of a dollar can be had to quench or satisfy your every taste. You will even find one of those new television sets adorning the glass table if you fancy the moving pictures for your entertainment.
All in all, I would like to convey that if I maintain ownership over my motorcar and not go back to my horse, I will be bringing it in to Pass ‘N Go each time the government comes calling. This establishment has certainly helped me maintain my joie de vivre!

Finding the right company to do your smog check for you is frustrating. Had to find the right company who will charge a decent price and find great customer reviews.
I found Pass n Go smog on here and decided to give them a call. The said that getting a smog check would cost $ 59 total, can take less than an hour — depending on how busy they are, and to bring a copy of your registration. I asked if they take appointments and they do so, I scheduled an appt with them on the Sept 18th as early as possible.
I went in and they greeted me right when I came in. I told them I had an appt and of course they knew right away it was me — maybe bc I was their first customer haha. Kyle was very helpful and friendly. Made small talk and even offered me a $ 10 discount bc I told him I found them on Unilocal.He said that if I checked in i can get a $ 10 discount. Awesome!
While he was processing the paperwork, I was in and out there within 15 – 20 minutes!
Great customer service and very helpful/​personable. I’d recommend people to go to this place — even though I live all the way in Escondido.

Well, I must admit I’m a total baby when it comes to anything car. I can no longer depend on my dad to get this kind of stuff done for me, so today I had to be very adult.
Having never gotten my own smog checked before, I was a little nervous about a million silly things. I read all the awesome reviews and decided this was the place to go.
You guys weren’t kidding! What a wonderful & quick experience. The lobby was extremely clean, the friendly woman working told me I could change the channel on the TV to whatever I wanted while I waited for my car to be done. I was the only person there so it was taken back quickly.

My car was done within 15 minutes and I was a happy camper.
