I lived here for 6 years. Initially it was great. Cheap rent, quiet neighbors. After moving into a two bedroom, the manager failed to give me an itemized list of deposit deductions from my first apt after saying «it looked like no one had even lived in it.» Then when I went to move out years later I find out that she «used» over $ 200 of it on my last place. And repairs are done in true ghetto fasion. Painting directly over mud with no sanding or texture, fabricated braces for garage repair and constantly having to have electric and plumbing fixed. Not sure how she figures out repair prices when its never done properly. Now a month after moving I still haven’t heard from her (21 days by California law). She knows it’s not worth me spending thousands to get back a couple hundred dollars so she will steal your deposit even when the place is in good shape. Also over the years the standard of tenant has completely dropped. A bunch of thugs and gangbangers. Don’t leave anything in your car, it will get stolen. And forget quiet neighbors. The train is bad enough, but these people seem oblivious to the fact they have people living around them and the manager keeps moving more of them in. There are much nicer places for just as much in the area (rent here is constantly going up unjustly), where the manager screens tenants, they have better appliances, adjustable heating, proper maintenance, and a pool that gets cleaned. Don’t even bother with this place.

The pool is dirty there are dying trees all around it. All of the grounds in the roadway within the apartment cracked not sealed or repaved. There aren’t any AC units in any apartments. Many of the apartment complexes neither electrical outlet’s replaced. The electrical post out on Street is clearly holding up the sign for the apartments. It’s managed by a couple can Barely get around the apartment complex they need help. Your kids aren’t allowed to play outside at all not only that if they hop on his scooter or a bike they’re not allowed also. You can expect the manager to come out and reprimand your kids and you to tell you they’re not allowed to do that. And don’t attempt to park backwards into a parking space. She will leave you a note on your windshield or complain to you that you are killing the trees cause the exhaust is hitting the plants. No the plants are dying because they’re dead period point blank! The apartments inside are in bad shape. Because the settling of the foundations certain ceilings in the apartments are cracking and separating. They tried to seal this but you still see the effects. There are constant problems of the water being turned off because of fixing pipes. There is a constant and viewable termite damage two areas within the complex. Plus don’t believe the hype of a quiet oasis. There is a freight train that goes through here about three times a week. Not only that because you’re next to a major street there are constant firefighter in ambulance sounds. And another thing for you to keep in mind is? The landscaping is never done during the week during the time when tenants should be at work. The landscaping is reserved for Saturday and Sunday on most of the tenants off day. Don’t listen to the posting about security and it being secured. There have been multiple vehicle break-​ins. The property has no cameras overlooking the parking lot. And anyone can walk into the complex there are no real security gates to stop anybody. But all of the schools within the Vista District are failing. You will get notices from the schools letting you know that you have the option to transfer your kids to any of the school outside of the district with no problem. Not only that they have done their best to control the pest situation. There have been mice found in apartments there has been roaches found in apartments. The tile work in the kitchens and in the bathrooms needs to be redone. All they did was patch it up with caulking and not replace the tile itself. There aren’t any stainless steel appliances. There is no hot tub the pool is never heated. They haven’t upgraded the waste management dumpsters. You will often find overloaded trash dumpsters. A lot of the time the trash is sitting on the ground around the dumpster when they come and pick it up. A lot of the trees and foliage is dying or is already dead. I’ve with witnessed one tree fall break a garage unit. But I don’t want to be the bearer of bad news if you don’t believe me come down to the apartments and see for yourself. After you’ve already checked the comps in the area and what they offer. You will see that they’re overpriced for the constant rent increases. You’ll find You will have a hard time bringing up these issues to the management. Because honestly they’re not going to do anything about it and they can’t. They will proceed to give you problems also and view you as a nuisance and someone causing a problem. This review isn’t too bad mouth the apartment complex. I have offered to help to do maintenance repairs. You all know we can’t stop them but «ANTS» will invade your apartment like you have never seen! Especially with it being close to summer now! I have a long list of experience working in the hospitality industry and remodeling and construction. They said no, but like I said don’t take this review as bad mouthing. Come down to the apartment complex and check for yourself. This place is kind of run like a «SLUM»! This is based off the other apartments that are within the area and what they offer.
