If I could give them zero stars, I would. I’m a really easygoing, forgiving person but time after time they were just rude to me and my kids. I really tried to give them a chance but after three bad experiences, I’m done. She didn’t know my name (it’s on the chart… check the chart!) and referred to my boys as «the big one» and «the baby». (Again, take one second and CHECK THE CHART.) It’s clear they don’t like kids. I ordered frames and they took over a month to get here (that’s without a prescription — I don’t even want to know how long it would take to fill the prescription). It’s just been a really, really bad experience and I wouldn’t recommend them to anyone. We won’t be going back.

So frustrated with this place. Was given a pair of contact lenses to wear for trial. They were very uncomfortable so I couldn’t wear them for more than 30 minutes. When I asked for another pair that was within the expiration date she acted like she didn’t believe me, asked if I was sure. She then informed me that they are good past the expiration date; not according to to company or FDA! Finally she blamed it on the lens company rep. Way to take responsibility Monica.

My wife and I needed an eye doctor close and so far Shawdowridge has been a good option. I hadn’t had an eye exam in over ten years so I was due. The exam was as expected with the toughest part having to decide which letters were clearer. I ended up with an astigmatism prescription for glasses which wasn’t surprising. Picking out the glasses was easier than I thought it would be. I ended up getting the first ones I tried on. A red pair of Calvin Kleins that are so light you can barely tell they are on! The prices seem ok but I would also check Costco to see what your insurance coverage is. I don’t have any doctors to compare to but I agree with the four star review for Shawdowridge. Also beware pulling in the parking lot as there is a dip that I scraped my car slightly on!

I came here to get my contacts the girls up in the front made it difficult to get my prescription. I paid them in full didn’t want to give it to me said I need to come in for one last check up and would not give me the prescription without the check up which doesn’t seem like a big deal but the wait time takes forever and the check up I less than 15 mins. I’ve been getting contacts since I was 15 I am now 26 and I have never had to come back to get a check up. I asked around and it is not a requirement. It seemed like it was more about getting me to buy the contacts they made money on than ones that are a better fit for me. Never coming back here I don’t recommend it you’re better of at Costco with no insurance less hassle and a lot faster.

Horrible customer service. Once they get paid; they will forget about you. I ordered a pair of glasses that took over two months to get. They never really try to help me out once they got my payment. i was force to deal directly with frame makers myself. They make you feel like a burden to them if you try to ask them a question. They don’t care about you; they just care that they will get paid. Better options out there.

The ladies at the front desk are so sweet and nice. The eye Dr was very nice also and answered any questions that I had. Will recommend this office to friends and family.

I have been coming to this location now for almost three years. I come into this location about three to four times a year. Once for my yearly exam, and the other times for my contacts. I just recently started bringing my daughter for her eye exams as well. The Doctor, is absolutely amazing, hands down the best. He is very thorough, polite, and takes his time. So why am I giving this location only 2 stars? Well, the staff that works here takes the ratings down. They aren’t the friendliest group of employees. Its as though they are just robots pushing buttons and handing out receipts. Im not one to want to have a conversation when I go into places, but I have been going to this location long enough to where they should have developed some sort of relationship with me to at least know me by my first name. I have also noticed that when I do order a box of contacts, they will call me and leave one voicemail and never call me back, even if they sit there for weeks on end. I travel a lot with work, and do not always check my messages, so most of the time I completely forget about them until Im down to the last pair. I always call them to make sure they came in, and they seem to always get an attitude with me regarding them calling me the one time to remind me that my pair of contacts came in weeks ago. If it wasn’t for the Doctor, and me really only coming in ever so often I would choose another location.

Just come in and see these folks. You’ll be impressed, well cared for and will recommend Dr Demlinger and his staff to others. They treat their patients like family. I’ve been coming here for 6 years now half my coworkers do also now.

The doctor is fantastic, probably one of the best I’ve been to. The staff is friendly, but also does not stand behind their product and/​or services. The glasses are expensive and I’ve bought several pair previously because I have good insurance, but still have paid $ 500 out of pocket for really good glasses. The most recent pair I decided to try for the first time the «progressive» lenses which darken outside and get light when you come back indoors. I didn’t like them. Because I had to have my glasses redone due to the transition lense (bifocal without lines) being incorrectly measured so I couldn’t see my computer screen with my new ($ 500) glasses on, I also asked not to have them made with the progressive (darkening) feature this time either because they seemed to stay gray indoors. Well, new glasses came in and they were better and did not have the darkening feature, which was as I wanted them. When I asked about getting a refund for the darkening feature I had already paid for on the first pair that had been sent back to be remade, I was told there are no refunds when the glasses are remade. I’ve gone around and around with the sales person on this topic explaining my point of view on this and letting her know that for a pair of glasses that retailed at over $ 1,200 and for me paying over $ 500 out of my own pocket, which is more than I’ve ever paid for glasses before, I feel like I’m not a valued customer. If they wanted to keep me and valued my business, I feel they would take the $ 75 for the progressive feature that I did not get on my remade glasses and give it to me but they chose not to. I’ll not buy glasses there again, but I will continue to get my eyes examined by the doctor, as he is wonderful and thorough and professional.

Honestly, this group is the best. I have a lot of issues with my eyes, including headaches and sensitivity. They have never made me feel rushed when I take forever to get my glasses just right. It also took my over 10 tries last summer to find the right pair of contacts. Every week when I came in they were kind, helpful, and understanding. As someone who constantly worries about imposing on people this was such a relief.
Dr. Demlinger is the best optometrist I’ve had as well. He spends time asking about your day, etc and remembers things from previous visits. The appointments move smoothly (but not rushed).
Overall, my eye exams and any interactions I have with Shadowridge Family Vision are always painless and enjoyable.

By far, Dr. Demlinger is the best optometrist ever. Super friendly, professional, patient, caring, and genuine. He never rushes you through the visit at all.
My mother and I wanted to be fitted for dailies contacts (distance for me, and monovision for her). She has only worn contact in one eye. Dr. Demlinger, after refracting her eyes, suggested her to wear both to help on distance and reading. Since monovision fitting requires lots of physics and can be different from patient to patient, my mom, of course, has difficulties adjusting to such fitting. Instead of rushing us through, he patiently suggesting and provided different lens for her to try out until she is comfortable and satisfied.
My family has been his patients for years and we would never consider any other place to entrust our vision checkup to.
His staff is also helpful and patient. Although I feel awkward communicating with one of them at times. But as long as they do their job right and leave no bother to me, I’m fine with that too.
Even if I moved in the future, I would only go to him for eye exam. Maybe do the glasses elsewhere since I’m a cheapskate: P heheheh

My first time getting an exam for glasses. Dr. D was very professional and genuinely nice. He explained everything clearly and was very honest. I will definitely recommend him for anyone else in need of an optometrist.

I have VSP vision insurance and Dr O is a VSP participant.
I also was drawn by all the good reviews. Those reviews are most accurate. Dr. D is very professional and thorough. My eye exam was thorough and he took the extra time to check my older glasses for accuracy to the older prescription and took some extra time to verify the new prescription as it was only slightly different than the old.
I wear progressive lenses and received excellent help in getting my old frames marked and measured properly so that the new frames would have the progressive part in the right spot. Actually my old lens in these frames had been mismeasured (by another shop) so that they never seemed to work well for me. I am confident with the care that was taken in the measurement process that these will have the lens ground In the right spot.
Really good lenses are not inexpensive particularly with progressive grind, transitions, scratch proofing, etc., etc. However with the VSP coverage the net cost was surprisingly inexpensive.

I came for eyeglasses based on a previous review regarding their large selection. But I would say for the men’s section at least, there’s quality over quantity. It sure beats going to Costco to find frames.
I was pleased with the friendliness of all the staff. Dr. D was very patient at explaining things and made sure that I was comfortable during the whole exam process.
My only knock is that for paying 250+ for the eyeglasses, it comes with a generic, flimsy case that doesn’t even fit my eyeglasses. Kinda surprised by that. Anyway, not a deal breaker and will definitely be back.

Everyone is friendly and helpful. Dr Demlinger explains everything very well during the exam. The frame selection is great. And I can drop by for the occasional adjustment of my glasses when needed.
I highly recommend Shadowridge Family Vision for families– we’ve been patients for several years and have always been very satisfied.

The folks here are very professional, nice and caring… Dr. Demlinger is excellent and is very good about explaining every thing to you… they are patient and accomodating! I highly recommend them to everyone…

I absolutely loved this office. The front desk staff was very pleasant and I waited no time to see the Doctor. The Doctor was very knowledgeable and answered all my questions. He made me feel right home and this was my first visit. I was very worried about my eye health and after a complete exam I feel more at ease about things. He was very easy to talk to and didn’t talk down to me like some doctors do. I would recommend him to everyone. I will return no questions asked.

I will prefice this by saying that the doctor was nice enough, however the lady that dispensed my glasses was not as pleasant. I came in with a prescription from another doctor, they had zero problems selling me glasses, biling my insurance almost $ 800 plus charging me an additional $ 200. Please don’t make the same mistake I did and let a pushy salesperson sale you a pair of glasses that don’t work. They would not accommodate my issue with the glasses and in fact told me the exact opposite the day I purchased them. Bottom line, I did not leave their business a happy paying patient. I left extremely disappointed by their business practices. I will take my family of 5 elsewhere. Sorry, you’re only getting an insurance pay out from one of us, not all five. That’s all they seemed to be concerned with anyhow.

The doctor was very professional and service was great but that does not justify doubling the cost than of their competitors.
They will charge you $ 120 for a contact fitting fee on top of the $ 120 eye exam. This will cost you approx $ 240 total. This place is a scam if you are trying to buy contacts. I called three other local businesses and they offered the fitting for $ 50 – 60. Half the cost.
During my follow up appointment, they refused hand me my prescription unless I bought a box on contacts first from them. I already paid $ 240 and now they wouldn’t give me what I paid for until I bought a box of contacts which they will surely overcharge me for. Then the receptionist claimed that she can’t charge my insurance unless I buy a box first from them. I told her that she didn’t have any problems charging my credit card four weeks ago during my initial visit. She didn’t an answer for that.
The receptionist held my prescription ransom in exchange for a sale of contacts. Pathetic and sad attempt to make money. I fought for my prescription that I already paid for and she tossed the prescription at me. I’m glad I’ll never have to see that hideous guffawing annoying voiced blonde goblin again. I wish you another happy 13 years as a receptionists, lady.

I was referred to Dr. Demlinger by my previous optometrist when I relocated. Like dentists, a good optometrist is hard to find. I primarily wear contact lenses but have a strong astigmatism which means that normal contact lenses never gave me anything even close to ²⁰⁄₂₀ vision. I have had several other optometrist try to fit me for toric lenses and it was a disaster every time! I had resigned to wearing my normal contact lenses and having vision that would barely allow me to pass the DMV vision exam but I was used to it.
All this changed when I went to see Dr. Demlinger who was patient and took his time to understand the challenge and why I was willing to wear contacts that didn’t provide me with adequate vision. He wanted to try to fit me into toric lenses and I thought to myself… here we go again! To my amazement he recommended a brand that actually fit and I still wear. He took his time and I went for multiple adjustments until my vision was tuned in. For the first time in the 20 years I have been wearing contact lenses I could actually see perfectly.
Very friendly and accommodating staff. I would highly recommend Dr. Demlinger and his team.
