Softwind Point Apartments

Wow softwind point has the nerve to place a parking violation for $ 50 on my window and stated if I don’t pay it it will increase by $ 15. Screw you softwind and your parking rules. This is why your resident retention has a quick turn around due to your rules & ludicrous parking. Try working on your water pipes and the constant water shut off before issuing parking violations and trying to scam people out of money. DO NOT MOVE HERE.

Keep in mind I have not yet moved out of Softwind, so the rating could still change at that point. But, I’ve been living here over 1 year and have to say, other than the water going out here and there (which I’d only take a half-​star off for), this place is everything I expected and MORE because of the wonderful staff in the office. Any issues I’ve ever had have been immediately handled. I have a small dog and the complex is very dog friendly. I find my area of the complex is very quiet and calm… no really loud neighbors, etc. But, I’m sure that all depends on your specific neighbors. In general, very quiet complex. Clean laundromats, nice pool area with hot tub. All the amenities I expected when I moved in. Rebecca and her staff in the office are awesome! Very easy to talk to, understanding and extremely helpful! Had my car die in the office parking lot one afternoon… was really crunched for time. Moises went ABOVE AND BEYOND helping me get towed to a shop. 13 months in and a 5 star recommendation from me!

Moved out a few months ago after living there a year. Apartment was ok but they gave us a small deposit to move in. When we moved out they charged us over $ 2000. What bothered me the most was that they lied. Nasty woman Manager:?? insisted there was carpet damage. This small one bedroom apartment –how could it even cost $ 2000 to replace it. Carpets seem to be a scam for apartments to get money out of you. Call 855 980 2256 to complain to your US Senator /​Congressional Rep that after paying large rents apartment owners still need to dig more money out of us.

Well I guess this review is over due… I’ve being living here since Oct. 2014, and I still a recident trying to provive a truthful unbiased review of this place for your consideration. Anyway Im still giving this place 4 stars, the reason being is that, regardless of what other people have experienced, is a well maintained place. I have lived in many different conditions goin from sleeping in the dirt with the rats and dog poo everywhere with a cealin made of cardboard, to a 1500sf bedroom with room service (and even a butller, ridiculous) and I can tell u this place is pretty average. So here comes my actual review.
1. True, the parking is a litle messed up but the had tryied to fix it, true there’s no visitor parking after business ours are over, but I’m ok with that. If have some one that is staying longuer, then you need a permit witch is cool since I have noticed that tenants from other apts. used to park inside this place.
2. Maint. Is good, they keep the place clean over all. However there are places that need a little more attention thant others (since this place has a lots of trees and is very grenny, which is good). True the washer machines are always braking and that is unacceptable considering how pricy the rates are. But they do manage to fix them in a aceptable time. Same with the doors gates. The maint. guys are know their jobs and they usually resolve any issues that I had in 24 to 48h time… depending on the severity of the problem.
3. The staff is very respectful. I haven’t had any issues with any of them since I moved.
4. The units are well maintained, and they are spacious with a good price, however if you want the best contract usually the 12 months one are the cheapest, a part from that it gets ridiculous pretty quick with very random rates. Going from 1150monthly per year contract to 1700monthly per month on the same unit, ludicrous.
In general I think this is a good place to live, is a good community, you see children playing on the road and pets are welcome which is wonderful since I have 2 doggies, neighbors are good people, but like anywhere else in the world that you may be, not everyone will like you or you like everyone. that is life. The place is pretty safe as well, night patrol does his job patrolling every 2 hours or so at night. So to finilize it all depends on your expectations and what you are looking for. I hope this review help you in your decision.

I have lived here for 3 years, and love the location. I had a hot water problem for about a year and no one knew what was the cause of it. but recently they hired a new maintenance man named Tim, Tim came in and figured out the problem and fixed it right away, Thank You Tim you are the «hot water shining star» Soft wind is lucky to have such a talented man.

Let’s see, where do I even begin? There is no guest parking. Tenants have to sign a waiver agreeing that their guests may only park during office hours, which are 10 – 6 and are subject to towing if their cars aren’t moved.
Laundry is an absolutely joke. Half of the washer/​dryers never work and it costs $ 1.50 per load, wash and dry.
The desk staff is seemingly incompetent. I added a pet deposit of $ 300 to my lease, which should have been refunded to me at my move out date. However, the girl who took the payment added it as a credit to my rent for that month, as opposed to a deposit. Now, due to her complete incompetence, I will not be receiving that money back, even though it’s documented and signed in my paperwork as a deposit.
If you’re looking to move here, just don’t. Do your research and find a better place. I will be moving the second my lease is up.

This review is long overdue.
My boyfriend, his brother and myself moved here March 2014. It was our first actual place away from home. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER. There were so many issues I don’t even know where to begin.
Parking is a pain. You would think with the amount of residents they have they would provide more parking for everyone.
Neighbors. Do not get me started on them. Our first neighbors were loud and crammed maybe 8 people in a 2 bedroom apartment! Than they moved out and we had a crackhead woman living there who got into numerous fights which we had to break up multiple times. Our upstairs neighbor was just crazy as well! She would be on the phone from 7PM to 4AM. Ridiculous.
Laundry mat there is just filthy. It was never maintained! One time someone physically took our clothes out and put them on the folding table. C’mon seriously?!
Management was pretty sh*tty. We asked them to fix so many things and nothing was ever done. And also we tried paying rent online and it had told us that we couldn’t and the front office never got to fixing it so we had to get cashiers checks every month. What’s the point of having a site online to pay rent if you can’t even use it!
Probably the worst thing about this place was our actual place. When we first got there and moved everything in it was fine. Months passed and my boyfriends brother and I kept getting sick ALL THE TIME. Once we moved out we saw all the mold growing under our mattress. I don’t know if before we moved in they didn’t clean it thoroughly but it was just so bad. Probably the reason why we were sick.
So many times I saw people going into the office for a tour and I just wanted to yell DONT LIVE HERE! But I guess they would have to learn the hard way like we did. This apartment complex sucks. Definitely a learning experience.

I don’t know where to even start so I’ll start from the beginning. The deposit: wow 500 bucks that’s so cheap how great. NO that’s a ploy to lure you in and sign that lease. Which unfortunately myself and another girl did. A month after the lease was signed my roommate decided to move out. Another girl moved in and signed onto the lease. The office is absolutely terrible at keeping up with paperwork and have you all sign at different times. (Probably so they can tell everyone different things) about six months after that out of no where, the girl decides she is moving out a day before rent is due. Doesn’t clean doesn’t find someone to sublet, poof vanishes. I go to the office to explain the situation and absolutely no sympathy. Were extremely rude and acted as if I was a bother to them. I get that it’s not their responsibility but come on. So I alone had to take over the 1300 a month rent. My online account for some reason wouldn’t let me pay online and no one at the office would help me. They said they would reset it but it never happened so I had to get a money order every time I needed to pay rent. The pool is decent except homeless people shower at the outside shower and are able to get in the complex because the gates are always broken. The parking is the worst I’ve ever encountered. They say they are adding more but that’s a lie. Being a young woman I don’t want to have to park outside and up the street from my complex and walk home alone at night because there are 8 people living in a 2 bedroom and take all the spots. My laundry has gotten stolen twice including the basket. A lot of the residents here are very inconsiderate low income families who could give two shits if their 9 babies cry all night and the couples yell and scream with the windows open. Don’t even expect to get a penny back from your deposit. For the duration of my residency there were two dogs who had some accidents. They were all soaked with warm water and sprayed with stain and deodorizing cleaning product. Well they come in with a black light at the end and go over all the carpets. I made sure I was present and I’m not going to lie, one of the rooms was bad so I knew I would have to get it replaced, fine. BUT the rest of the carpet was spotless and they charged me $ 883 to replace to entire apartment that didn’t need replacing! They say their «carpet cleaners» said it needs to be replaced. Bullshit. There are always cops at the complex or random people who don’t live there at the park drinking beer. Dogs who bark all night long. The air condition pops out of the wall and is so loud you can’t hear anything, doesn’t circulate at all. There is black mold in all the window sills before we even moved in. The only reason I’m giving this place a star is because the maintenance man is an absolute doll as well as Nikki in the front office who I know has to abide by her wench of a managers rules. I read the reviews before I moved in and thought they were just assholes who didn’t abide by rules. But it happened to me, save yourself a ton of time, problems and money. And explore some more options! It’s not worth it!!!

Horrible Place! I lived here for a year in 2014 and I am still regretting it 6 months later! The leasing staff are the most awkward, weird, unwelcoming people I have ever come across, there is NO parking, the hot water goes out about every 3 days, street bikes are stolen almost every night right out of parking spaces, there are cops there half the time investigating the bikes getting stolen, there «security» is non existent, and the rent is a joke! The move out charges are outrageous! They won’t even give you the actual invoice form the paining, cleaning, or carpet cleaning company, just printed out microsoft word documents that say something fake, and they expect you to believe that it is an actual invoice the painting/​cleaning/​carpet company generated!

I will be doing my review on management. I am not a resident at this complex. But I have had a fair share of dealing with the office management. Niki is AWESOME. She was very helpful and was able to answer all my questions. She is leasing apartments not for a pay check but because she truly cares and wants people to happy. AJ was very accommodating and understanding. And Moses (I know that’s not his real name but I’m not even going to attempt to spell it) that guy is funny! This is a very good group of people. Thank you guys for your time… Wish it could have been longer than 3 days.

I have learned to despise this place. It seems nice at first; the place is in a decent looking area with trees and decent grounds keeping. It doesn’t appear to be super old and decrepit so it really seems nice at first but after a while you realize how horrible it all is with a fresh set of paint. The parking is a constant problem. We have to move both cars at once to save the public spot every time we go anywhere. Everything in the apartments seems fine at first glance but then you start to notice how cheap the doors are, how crappy the AC is, and how badly the wiring is. I have had several issues with Internet since the buildings are old and aren’t designed to handle broadband cabling. When I asked them about my issues they told me to contact the isp who sent out a technician. He informed me that the wires were crudely spliced in the wall and jammed in way too small of a space causing feedback. I was charged a large fee for the visit because it’s technically not their jurisdiction (inside the apartments) and the office would not reimburse me even though it was their crappy wiring that caused the issue.
The office may act nice but they will stab you in the back given the chance every time. Need that extra day to transfer money into your roommates account to pay rent by the third? Nope, not happening. Their online payment system (that charges a large fee) goes down when you are trying to pay rent? Too bad, you are late and that’ll be $ 50. You have until the 5^th or they’ll evict you.
They have strait up lied to my face several times. I was even told we get 2 designated spots when moving in only to find it wasn’t on the lease.

I wish I could give 0 stars. Parking was horrible! The water is always getting turned off. The staff is unbelievably rude, unless your there to get an apartment. That was the one day they were kind to us. The washers and dryers are often broken.
They charged $ 99 dollars as a move in fee and were decently priced, so we chose to move in. Moving out we got charged 2000. They never came to fix our garbage disposal while we lived there but they charged us for that. Painting. Carpets (which were stained from before we were there) and who knows what else. They are gated, but the gate is always open to public because its always broken. Security was important to me and that ended up being being worth nothing! They should warn people! Especially with how often the cops showed up there. I can truly say I didn’t feel very safe living there. DO NOT MOVE HERE!
The air conditioner is a Joke! And the apartments are crammed! I hated it here. We get out quick!
Save your money and move elsewhere.

I live in this complex. I gets it’s ok. Parking sucks, the water gets turned off every so often. My review today is to say what is up with the motorcyclists using 1 full parking spot for their small bike? Parking is bad enough already. Management doesn’t do much either…

This is the worst appartments to live in. My husband is in the service and we moved from mississippi. Well the pictures where nice on the website. When we got to the apartments, It looked nothing like the website. But we decided to move in anyway. There is no central air. It gets really hot in the apartments. The apartments hold heat. They have a $ 99 move in special yearly and charge you a arm and a leg when you move out. My move out bill was $ 560. $ 225 was for repainting the apartment. Who on earth charges $ 225? I could of got someone to paint it cheaper than that. Ive never paid anything after moving out. I’ve lived in several apartments. I take care of my house and I was very disappointed. Me and my husband dont have the money to pay this fee. Im a stay at home mom and struggle as it is. The office is rude and disrespectful. The parking is terrible. If you need a parkimg spot after 6 o’clock. Your Out of luck and will have to walk a good ways to your home. If I were you I would take my advice and run with it. This place is not a place you wanna call home. The people that lived next door to me had a dog outside that pooped and peed in the outside porch. The tenant never cleaned it up. I called the office several times and they did nothing. They are always shutting the water off and send you a note saying they have vacant apartment you can shower in. eww. Gross Thats just nasty.

WOW THE WORST!!!
First off, the Management is terrible! The entire staff if incompetent and doesn’t share full information. They don’t know what they are talking about and are very rude!
Second, I lived next to noisy college boys, 5 of them lived in one 2 bedroom apartment, which is not allowed per state code, management did nothing about it. I let the management know they throw basketballs at the walls and were extremely loud, they did nothing about it. The person that lived below me hung all their laundry on the railing of the stairs, management did nothing. When I moved in the apartment was not clean and there were cockroaches!!! This is the worst apartment I’ve ever lived in.
