Super China Buffet

Everything was cold not fresh. Plus me and my friends just sat there after eating and they tried to kick us out when it wasn’t even packed! WTF!

What a terrible buffet. The only thing good was the young kid running around trying to serve everyone. Food old, not good taste. Options bad. Took the whole family because it was after a visit to the park, but we left unhappy. Place probably headed out of business.

I used to eat here because it was located a few blocks down from my work. I think it used to be called Panda Buffet or I can’t remember if this is their new name or Panda is… oh well. it’s the same place
I think for the price you pay at lunch you get a good amount of food selection but not at dinner which is basically the same food at lunch.
There are times when the food didn’t look all that fresh and like it had just been sitting out there. I think it’s because people probably didn’t like the food so it wasn’t popular and just sat there.
The egg drop soup was fairly salty but it was decent.
I like that the hot tea is free with the buffet.
I would say come here for lunch only and not for dinner.

Last night I had the worst Chinese food experience ever. The selection was limited, the BBQ pork was old and extremely hard and the sushi was not fresh. Everything tasted off and the ice cream was so cold and hard it could not be served. Also, the place was not clean. Finally, I woke up about 6 hours after dinner with an unquenchable thirst which I suspect is from excessive use of MSG. I would never, ever recommend this place and will never go there again.

Experience/​Food = I have been here twice for lunch and dinner & most of the food taste’s cold like it’s been sitting there for hours. Some of the food i actually enjoyed were: shrimp, chicken, chow mein (even if it was a bit greasy), some cream cream cheese wrapped things, and i like the mushrooms. I used to enjoy eating the spring rolls but they are really really really gross now i don’t know what happened to those.
The service = nice and asked if we needed re-​fills constantly and took our used plates away and stuff.
Price = personally I didn’t want to pay the amount due because I only actually liked about 5 items from their huge selection because the rest if the food was cold, dry, stale, of tasteless. That’s sad because for me to pay buffet price i better like at least half of the things on the menu right?
Returning customer? = I would not eat there for dinner ever again, if anything just to-​go so I can fill up my to go plate with my five items I like: P
This review isn’t to close down the place, not at all! It had potential but it needs a lot of work. It is what it is :/

So my husband went here before a long time ago and he remembers the food being very good. Well, we went here for lunch today it was very cheap for a buffet but in my opinion not worth the price. The food was not good and it did look like a run down place. We will not be going back.

this place is cheap I guess you get what you pay for. place looks old dirty and runned down and not a whole lot of different selections.

I’ve lived here in Vista since 1994. I have been going to this place for a long time. I use to come here with my dad, mom, and sister since we all live right up the street. Everyone in my family moved so they don’t eat here anymore, but I do, so I started taking my husband and kids. I use to think the food was great, but lately, it’s HORRIBLE, and the service is just as HORRIBLE as the food. The last time I went to this place, I got into a argument with one of the staff and vowed I would never come back, and I haven’t. That day, I went in with my husband and newborn and paid for take out. There was a customer in there already arguing to get her money back on the buffet because of dirt on the windows, tables, and flies everywhere. I was laughing because it looked like the customer already finished most of her food which is pretty damn ridiculous. If she didn’t like how dirty it was she shouldn’t of sat down and finish multiple plates. But anyway, so my husband and I got our food and was walking out the door when a woman staff member walked up to us and stopped us saying that we took too much food. We took too much food in a all you can eat buffet? Really? We both only had one plate of take out food. I explained to her that I understand she’s irritated with the customer trying to take advantage of them, but don’t try and take that out on us. She ignored me and kept repeating that we have too much food, while pointing her finger at me. Rude! So I said that even though we already paid full price for it how much more does she want us to pay? She just kept repeating over and over that we took too much food. Um, did she not understand my question? So I asked her again, how much more does she want me to pay? I figured, just pay her more money to shut her up, and get my husband and child the heck out of there. What did she want us to do, put the food back? Ew! I guess she didn’t understand me again and tried to get louder with me and wouldn’t move from in front of me. HA, big mistake. I’m the wrong person to get loud with, especially when I’m already irritable and tired from a long day. So I yelled as loud as I could «HOW MUCH MORE DO YOU WANT ME TO PAY?!» It was so loud, even the customer that was complaining finally shut up and just stared at us. She finally moved from in front of me and walked behind the front desk while still repeating «you have too much food.» I should not have yelled, but that was the worst service I have ever experienced. I never had a staff member try and pick a fight with me after I already gave them money and trying to walk out the door. I will never go there again, ever. I rather just take the time to drive to the place by the mall, or pay more money at Panda Express. The ONLY pro about this place is the cheap price, but you get what you pay for.

Over the years I have ate here (last 15 years). The food use to be really good like between 98 – 2000. When they were super panda buffet. But now the food sucks. I’ve ate here like 3 times in the past 6 years and it’s always nasty. Yeah the price is cheap. $ 6.25 for lunch and $ 8.99 for dinner but the food is nasty.

The place is what you expect from a Chinese food buffet. The food is very extensive, about 50 offerings if memory served well, but some food is bland/​tasteless while other is greasy, and other I just did not want to venture and eat.
For $ 6-​$ 7 for lunch, can’t complain much, but it really isn’t my first choice for lunch!
