History

Established in 2009.

The D-​Clutter Company has a long history of organizing. It all started in 2003 where Denikka Maly, the Co-​Owner and Professional Organizer started working for a merchandising company. There she organized in the corporate world for 8 years before deciding that it just wasn’t’ enough. In 2010 Denikka opened D-​Clutter where the work was much more rewarding and fulfilling as she was able to work one-​on-​one with people; helping individuals get their life back on track and out from the disorganized chaos.

Hi, my name is Denikka Maly; I am the founder and owner of The D-​Clutter Company. Let me tell you a bit about myself… I have always had a passion for organizing and helping others gain control of their surroundings. Organization has perpetually been a part of my life. I have invariably been known as the «go to» person to help others create a clutter-​free, healthy, and nurturing environment.

I earned my bachelor’s degree in psychology and political science, and a minor in pre-​law at St. Olaf College in Northfield, MN. In my work within the corporate world, I have had over 10 years of experience in organization, project management, job-​analysis, business administration, communication and general management. I left the corporate world to follow my passion and use the skills and experience I learned, along with my psychological insight to help people. I thrive on the excitement and life-​changing experience that comes from each organizing session.

We just finished a two day pack up for our move with Denikka and Josh. What a godsend! They are extremely efficient, hard workers and very pleasant people. You can tell they care about their work and they want to be a help in any way they can. Everything is well labeled and packed to have the least amount of boxes to move and a much easier move in process later. They are very reasonably priced and it is worth every penny. I cannot recommend them more highly. We are considering having them work with us on our storage unit and help us unpack and organize. Do yourself a favor and call the D Clutter couple!

Dennika and Josh are AMAZING! They showed up promptly at 9AM and got right to it. I didn’t see either of them stop for 8 straight hours. It is unbelievable what they accomplished in my garage in that time. They even got my 6 year old to do a ‘donate pile’! Seriously, these two are worth every cent and I highly highly recommend them.

If you ever needed help organizing any thing, look no further. These guys are it! They are the very epitome of honest, hardworking professionals. They do what, and when, they say will. They are extremely helpful and understanding.
We had them over to evaluate our garage which was piled high with everything. They went right to work evaluating what we needed, or needed to let go.
I am extremely careful who I’d let into my house. Denikka and Josh would be welcomed always. They are terrific!
Their ability to evaluate chaos and leave it organized, as well as help us prevent a repeat of the last problem, was indicative of their skill and empathy. Very efficient. And to boot, they are just good people.

First of all, Dennika deserves you to see all those great reviews that Unilocal put «away» at the bottom that you have to click on to read. Dennika is a god send… she gets down to every little detail, every last item, is label happy, comes with organizing baskets and bins if needed and will even take out your trash and donation bags for you so you’re not stick weeks later with bags that overwhelmed you too much to deal with…

Amazing, transformative experience. We just completed a major remodel of our home and had everything from that plus multiple households stored in the guest room and garage — making them scary places. Denikka and her team came in, assured us that we were not hoarders, and set about to clean, organize and store everything — a huge task — with humor and ease. I was moving cross country and had accumulated three years worth of clutter, in a very small two-​bedroom house, that I needed to thin out and pack quickly. I knew I couldn’t do it on my own. I called them after doing a search online. I liked what they had to say on their website. I initially hired Dennika and Josh for one day. It was great having the two of them there. Dennika for emotional and de-​cluttering support and Josh for the packing and heavy lifting!
We got through quite a bit on the first day, sorting out what to keep, donate or throw away. However, a few days later I was still having trouble packing up the last of it. My brain gets overwhelmed easily by clutter and I end up doing nothing. I called them again, and at first I just wanted Dennika to come out but she persuaded me to include Josh too and boy was she right to do so. They make a great team! We knocked the rest out in less than a day.
I really could not have done it without them. She has a great amount of compassion and patience. Bottom line, they are just good people that do a great job!

I cannot thank these folks enough. My parents were elderly and had to move. They came in and packed them all up, organized them and did it with class. My parents were thrilled at how polite and professional they were. They treated them like they were family and made my parents feel very comfortable. They did not break anything and treated it like it was ther own personal belongings. Thank you again for making the transition so smooth. It relieved all the stress from the move. Thank you again!
