The beers are really reasonable $ 4 – 8 and the whole theme is science related. They show NASA videos that I’ve never seen! They have science talks occasionally. This place is totally awesome!!! It’s perfect for the wife and I, us being an engineer and a physicist.

I see this place has mixed reviews on the atmosphere, well I personally loved it. Yes, there is a lot of space but I can see how it can fill up on an event night. As you can see from my pictures, there is plenty of nerdy fun to be had. I played with a rubix cube, chess and other «brainy games» but my favorite part of the visit was Hanz, who runs the joint. I told him what I normally drink and without hesitation he poured me a sample of something that pleased me. Sometimes they think they know and hand you something off the wall, not this place. Plenty of options, plenty of people and plenty of educational fun!

Last night was my first time in and the beer was great. It was comfortable and the staff was very friendly. I will be back and look forward to try more of their beers. I had the Octave Orange and Bruno.

Really cool spot. I am always impressed when a brewery or bar develops a new concept. Very cool addition to the vista breweries. Hans (owner) is on point and knowledgeable about the beers. Go visit these guys. I enjoyed the beer and service much better than Mother Earth

Didn’t even know the place was there… just walking down Main Street, saw it, then had to try it. If you like IPA’s, the brewer has got those down with a flair. Far different atmosphere than Mother Earth, far more laid back, and to date, I haven’t had to witness a «bark off» between pit bulls, which I’ve experienced on several occasions at the dog-​friendly aforementioned brewery down the street. If you want chow, a little waitress from the Taco Shop a couple of doors down popped in while we were there, gave her an order for a platter of street tacos, and she was back in 10 minutes with our tasty grub (pretty sure Urbn Pizza will also deliver here).
Back to the IPA’s, nothing at Mother Earth holds a candle to the offerings at Wavelength in this style of Ale. Get the sampler and try them all… not a one was a disappointment!

I’m not saying to never go there but its got a confusing atmosphere and kind of a nerdy vibe. It’s «wavelength» I suppose because of the «wavelength of light» or something like that? or is it sound waves traveling through space?
It’s a stark, square shaped room and not really enticing.
Try it anyways when Mother Earth is packed and you just want to grab a beer. I’m sure if they figure out the atmosphere they’ll do good since Belching Beaver is opening up next to them and they’ll basically rely on the overflow from people visiting the popular breweries in downtown Vista.

Drove out to Vista last night for a visit to Mother Earth brewery and after we went for a walk and we discovered Wavelength. We were outside reading the sidewalk board and was greeted by Hans the owner i believe. He was very personable and very hands on with his establishment. We decided to go in and try some of the beers Hans recommended .This Brewery has a great vibe and very clean. with a easy to read menu and great service. Lots of people enjoying the hospitality. It was great to interact with both guys sitting on both sides of us. We quickly agreed that we love the fact there was no TVs playing sports that you see so often. The Beer is Fantastic i loved the Scottish Ale. I highly recommend you check this place out. Prices were great. Try the sampler of 6 flights for 10 $ great deal to sample all the beers.

I’ve been coming here since around the time it opened and it has become my favorite spot. The crowd is always rich with relevant conversation while the beer pushed the envelope on what a craft beer should accomplish.
I’ve been to numerous talks featuring local scientists and beer drinker alike, and have learned a lot about both science and beer. I believe the owner is a sound engineer and super techie, and it shows. the sound system is the perfect volume and he shows different science based videos on his projectors, including political ‘science’ where both the democratic and republican debates were watched on live streaming internet.
Highly recommended for all beer and/​or science enthusiasts. A welcome change from the cramped hot tasting room with another sports game buzzing about in the background.

I think the girls needs to be a little bit friendly with the customers or at least have a smile in their faces. There was a guy there and he was super cool and I think it’s a nice environment. I wish them the best like every local places.

Wavelength is a relatively new spot on Main street. Hans and company have created a great space to go with their great selection of very small-​batch beer — still pretty much on the home brew scale of operation. The Vanguard IPAs are my faves — grapefruit or mango. Not overly fruity, just enough to complement and offset the hops.
They have a science theme going — a regular schedule of geeky presentations on space exploration and other science themes. Come in, have a brew, and learn about the world you live in.
No food, but with the pizza place right across the street and excellent Mexican 2 doors down (El Ranchero) that’s not a problem. Just grab your pie or your taquitos and bring ‘em in!
They do have space and plans for live music but Vista is slowing them down that way.

Science! NASA! Telescope! Intellectual board games and awesome background music! These are the things you can find while visiting the one of a kind North County brewery!
Not only do they do weekly crash courses on astronomy, but they also have very tasty beers that are very cheap and delicious!
Its kinda too good to be true, but the owner (Hans) I might have spelt his name wrong, is very much into science especially when it comes to space. I had a pleasure of meeting him and he was a very energetic/​outgoing individual. I was impressed with the whole décor and spaciousness of his brewery.
It is not rowdy and too loud like most bars, and everyone there is very friendly and open to strike up conversations with.
Im a huge pale guy and I was recommended the L.E.O which is their premium IPA beers. its pretty hoppy, but for a person like me only liking pales… this one became my favorite of IPA’s.
This unique bar has an awesome bathroom setup, and im not talking about the clean stalls… you should check out the sink! (weird huh lol)
Overall, their prices for beers is from $ 4-​$ 6. You can also pickup a growler for $ 8 an get a refill for approximately $ 9.
These prices is out of this world! LIterally.
Its great to take a group of friends out or even take mom, dad and even your grandparents!
I highly recommend you checking this place out, it has become my new favorite spot and I will continue to become a loyal customer :)

This place is just amazing. Over the last several years, San Diego has become a real Mecca of beers and this place continues the tradition of solid craft beer making. Hans, owner/​brewer, is an amazing guy and knows his beer. They make some serious IPAs and some great stuff here. They brew on site and they take some great care in creating a diverse and tasty selection of beers. A must try for this place is the LEO IPA. It’s a fantastic IPA with an excellent hop in it. If you are into craft beers, stop by wavelength and grab a pint (or better yet, grab a flight of 6 of their brews) and try some delicious beer made with care and love. You can’t be disappointed.

This is a new spot on Main St. If you’re a local, stop by and check it out.
First time coming here. A Chill place to have a flight.

**Check this place out before going to Mother Earth people, Im telling you. the Grapefruit, Mango, Peach and Pineapple are the hidden gems that not everyone discovered.**
Came in on a Saturday with my Fiancée, Brother, and Sister in Law. Really nice spot. Lots of seating and extremely clean. Looks like a mini Stage setup for live bands to play at night. They have a whole electronics setup. Pretty sweet looking.
Like i said. lots of seating. This place should be packed, but i guess gets overlooked due to Mother Earth. They have a pretty cool bathroom sink too.
Out of all the breweries we have been to. the menu board being monitors is a nice touch.
From the Red Ales to the Rye IPAs to the Belgians. I think the hits were the Peach and the Grapefruit. Havent had the mango yet, but will soon try to catch that one.
Redshirt-​hibiscus red ale– Good balance of flavors. Has a good bite to it. Not light on the taste buds
Halleys ipa w zythos hops– This IPA was really good. If youre an IPA lover, give this one a shot, heck. get a pint while your at it. Doesnt disappoint.
Olympus mons– rye ipa with summit hops– This had a burnt flavor to it. Too much for my taste buds.
Off kilter– Scottish heavy ale, good smokey flavor. I liked this one too.
Dos attack ipa– This IPA was pretty good as well. I prefer the Halleys over the Dos Attack, but still pretty good. Good balance on this beer.
Wavelength had that beer that stood out that made me buy a growler. Now i have one and it was a good purchase.

Wavelength Brewing is located a few doors down from Mother Earth. It’s a pretty big spot with lots of tables and seating. There is a huge projector on the right side of the room, so we thought that they maybe host karaōke nights. Not the case. Looks like a spot that can serve as a live music venue with a staging area and lighting above. We asked and unfortunately, this is not the case at this time. Hopefully the city of Vista will approve all necessary permits in order to allow this to be a live music spot!
Upon entering, there are two large digital monitors that display their beer selection. Definitely much more easy to read than the hand written traditional white boards and/​or chalk boards. Probably the largest digital monitor display I’ve seen at any brewery I’ve been to. Props to Wavelength for their technology touches.
I had a flight of tasters (6 for $ 10) and was very impressed by each one! No lie — every beer I tried was so refreshing. My favorites were the Grapefruit IPA and the Peach IPA. Both very flavorful in their fruit, yet still beer like enough to taste like an IPA. Very refreshing and at 6.9% ABV, delicious! Ended up getting a growler of their Peach IPA. Can’t wait to try their Pineapple IPA (they were out) and Mango IPA (in the works).
Customer service was excellent. Very friendly and knowledgable workers
No food here, but food can be delivered to brewery from restaurants close by
Nice and clean bathrooms (2 stalls in women’s bathroom) and cool sink /​hand washing area (so rare with breweries)!
Can’t wait to go back for more! Wavelength, you have become my new favorite Vista brewery!

Tasty beers for all thirsty beer enthusiasts! I really enjoyed the grapefruit IPA! The pineapple IPA is good too and surprisingly refreshing. The beer, as noted by many other reviewers, is spot on!
The actual bar is shaping up nicely! Some reviewers have slammed Wavelength for their «ambience.» Every time I go there is a new addition to the quickly growing brewery. The space is open and airy, they always have great music on. Sometimes there aren’t huge hoards of people in the brewery… but it’s a new brewery! WHAT DO YOU EXPECT PEOPLE?! The word is still getting around that Wavelength has great beer at good prices.
This brewery will definitely rival that of the other North County greats! With it’s pleasant staff and laid back ambiance; Wavelength is legit!

The beers here were really tasty. Love their «west coast» IPA and the red ale. This is a new brewery that has opened on Main Street, a nice addition to the area and right down the street from Mother Earth. The beertenders were so friendly and I could easily chat up a storm with them! Very simple, all black, sort of space-​THEMED.
If you go, I recommend getting their $ 10 flight for ANY 6 beers. Make sure to get their red and IPA! The pineapple IPA was actually really good too! Worth a try and a nice addition to the Vista breweries.

First time here last night and Id give it five stars almost alone on the beer. Yup, that’s right– 5 stars alone.
Walking in, this place is huge. And right next to Mother Earth this place has some stiff competition, however after stopping by i xan say I’m glad I did! I had a taster flight for $ 10– 6 tasters of your choice and to top it off, Cuz I was hungry, ordered URBN pizza as well– which made everything even better (and for those who don’t know– URBN delivers here to wavelength too!).
We sat at the bar and I had the Czech Golden, Red Hibiscus, Scottish Ale, Grapefruit IPA, Pineapple IPA and the Orange Wheat. My boyfriend also got a taster flight and I tried the Black IPA and Rye. Honestly– I instantly liked 3 out of 6 beers and after drinking all 6 of mine– I could easily say I’ll drink about 5 on the daily of them.
The grapefruit really tastes like grapefruit and I like that all of their beers are smooth flavorful and easy to drink. I even liked the Czech Golden which to me resembled a Cali Creamin kind of and I’m not even a fan of blondes or light beers lol. The Scottish ale was also interesting as it had a very oaky taste and bit spicy aftertaste which I guess is a result of the green hops they use.
Regardless, Adam helped us out and he was super kind and even more helpful. The place is laidback with not much inside, just kind of an empty room with a bunch of regular tables and the bar, but the beer alone does the drink and will bring you in.
Only downfall is there’s no TVs just a screen projector I saw so if you wanna watch a game you might wanna bring your laptop or something as they do have free wifi!

This isn’t my first rodeo.
I chose that opening because this place is the most country brewery I can recall in a long time. They may not have a mech bull, animal heads, cowboy hats, but when you see the lighting and the setup you’ll understand why. Huge open space, minimal tables on the sides, stage lighting is the real key here. Pretty much set up to have a stage and some line dancing. It’s a little dark overall.
As we all know you don’t get into the brewery game without some R&D and if your not making good beer it’s almost too hard not to succeed even with the flooded market. And I mean flooded, like the already established Mother Earth and soon to be Beaver’s toe dipped into gastro all within stones throws from their door. Not to worry they’ve got some good one’s. I’m an IPA guy, but appreciate all varieties if done right. I was particularly impressed by the orange wheat which had a buttery biscuit finish that reminded me of eating girl scout cookies. And yes I’ve paired beer with them, but I also pair bourbon with my beer and not boilermaker style either. The hibiscus red was surprisingly good and had no aftertaste which you sometimes get from tea and flower notes, I would love to pair this with some red wine. Their Golden is the lightest and to have something for the light drinkers I expected less hop, throw that extra hop into my IPA though. I don’t normally speak poorly of a beer, but I had no want after my first few sips to finish the brown and I used to love browns. Summit Rye IPA was ok, nothing exceptional, but that’s coming from a bourbon drinker and when given the option prefer rye whiskey.
The staff is pretty friendly and have yet to test out the acoustics with a packed house so I can’t speak to the noise. The bathrooms are kind of cool with the shared public sink or as a friend of mine prefers to call it «hand washing station». I have yet to see a dog here so I can’t speak to their friendliness. Local food places do deliver like with ME. Hours are roughly the same hours at ME, but I’ve never seen them close early like they are known to. Crowd seems to be a little older and a little more family friendly. No TV’s.
All in all it’s a solid brewery. I do think they need to guerilla market heavy as Beaver will be coming and there may been too little to go around for this smaller upstart.

Wavelength is a new brewery located right down the block from Mother Earth. It was only $ 10 for a flight of tasters and they were all really great. The space is huge and you can tell there will be some great things to come from this location.
Massive plus– the bathrooms are super nice and clean! Now I know all my girls are with me that this is a huge plus on my book for breweries.
We went the first week so there wasn’t really a sign out front and we just so happened to look inside and see tap handles. I’m sure there is a sign coming/​may already be up so make sure to keep your eyes peeled and enjoy a great new craft brewery in San Diego!
