Are you searching for a basement bar in the Pittsburgh suburbs to hide from the spouse who hates you for non-​payment of child support? This might be your spot. Busy even on Sunday afternoon at 2pm with no football game on, the Downunder slings up cheap drinks and surprisingly tasty chow to go with it (try the Italian hoagie). The bartender was friendly when I visited. But the locals kept to themselves, playing video poker, jamming to the hard rock soundtrack and inevitably having just one more round.
