This place used to be called A1; least expensive chinese buffet in Waco at 8.49, still doesnt attract many customers; it is clealry struggling. A fair number of the spaces which should be full of delixious chinese food is occupied with fillers like formerly frozen mozarrella sticks or formerly frozen pizza. Much of the chinese food has been out under the heatlamps too long and needs to be refreshed. If you can afford it, recommend going to a higher end buffet like Vegas.

I came here with some friends and my boyfriend’s family after his graduation. Service was typical for a buffet, I guess we got lucky on that. I usually (along with my three guy friends) are suckers for Chinese food… let alone a buffet. The guys only got ONE plate. Very strange. I blame it on the quality of food.

We used their meeting room for a business meeting recently. Pretty much your generic Chinese Buffet Food here. The biggest turnoff was the service. The waitress was easily the rudest I have ever had at any restaurant! She would often enter the room with another staff member, talking very loudly to him, mind you that we are in the middle of a business meeting. To make matters worse, during the meeting she approached guests and speakers (some while they were speaking) and demanded payment, even though most had not eaten yet. We tried to politely tell her that we would pay once the meeting was finished, however she refused to leave until she received it. After she received the money she desperately wanted, she was finished with us. No more refills, no more check-​ins, no more service. Upon returning to pick up receipts, she noticed that I had not left a tip (she clearly did not earn one). She then had the nerve to inform me that the tip was not included in the bill and that she was entitled payment for her services.
Average food and HORRIBLE service! Unfortunately, Unilocal does not allow anything under 1 Star, so, 1 Star it is!

This place recently changed names and ownership and the quality of food has gone down hill. The food was cold and some of the flavors were off. We arrived shortly after opening and you would think the food would be steaming hot. NOPE! If you like fried american food it is not bad. If you want good chinese food, this is not the place. I hope the food picks up.

Food looked very good. Surprise, I got steak, cabbage, potatoes and macaroni. Everything was blan but something smelled foul and that is when I tried the steak, it smelled like it had been out all day. Did not try it. Went back and tried the seafood, it was good but cold, the only thing that I liked was the rice (it was hot). Will never go back.

This place used to be really good, but their food tastes like it’s been sitting out too long, but that’s a buffet for you. Broad selection, but if you go a few times, you’ve pretty much tried everything because they don’t seem to mix it up any, so there’s never a new item on the buffet.

I have planned my office Christmas party here for the last three years.
Our server disappeared after everyone got seated, not including the people that showed up just for the party and a drink without the buffet. We had dirty plates on the table while we opened our Christmas gifts. I found out tonight that my sister had the same waiter last week and he never refilled her drink that day.
This year I used my credit card to place a deposit for the room, like I have for the other two times. I outguessed how many people would come for lunch this year. They kept my $ 30 deposit and I had to pay another $ 20 for three lunches.
NEXT YEAR I will call Georges or Golden Coral. Linda N

The family needed a place to get some chow after traveling from Austin. We went to this craptastic place since everyone likes Chinese food.
The food was not that good. The steak was dry, tough, and flavorless. The rice for the sushi was dry.
Then it was time for dessert. Bananna pudding was put on the plate, but I didn’t know house flies were included in the ingredients. Apparently, house flies are the ingredients of cheesecake, too.
We had to get our own drinks (tea and water) because our waitress disappeared.
When she occasionally reappeared, she was rude and trying to push us to hurry up and finish… even though the restaurant wasn’t full.
As we we’re leaving, the waitress had the audacity to say, «Where’s my tip?»
Say what?!?
Flies in the food, extremely poor service, rude behavior.
I suggest you avoid this place like one of the 10 Biblical plagues.
