Fun place to fish but not a lot of shore line to fish on.

Ok well I’m not a very good salt water fisherman so lake Wilson was a sight for sore eyes. Only a few key problems. Not very many places to fish here on shore the best plane in my opinions is by the golf course. And you will need to walk about half a mile to get there. My suggestion is rent a boat. There are a lot of fish In here. I always see the jumping and I catch mostly large mouth but it is nice to catch one of those peacock bass, and they are usually jumping. One big downside Is this lake is very dirty so pick and choose your spots well and NEVEREATTHEFISHHERE!!! Most fish I catch hit top water or middle with a spinner. Hope this helps you!!! Have a great day

Surrounding Wahiawa on three sides, Lake Wilson(aka Wahiawa Reservoir) is easily visible as you enter into Wahiawa or as you travel through the Karsten Thot Bridge(leading to the North Shore). (Just turn right on Avocado Street and then through the park gates) Things to do here? *Have a relaxing picnic on one of the tables *Bring your kids here with a small fishing net and wrangle all the guppies that cluster at the boat launch ramp. *Take a stroll in the wooded areas(Just be careful, because some areas are deceptively deep and muddy. Once my mom got stuck in a muddy hole that went to her knees!) *Pole fishing from the banks(if you venture down the stream, it gets steep, so be cautious) *If you have a boat, this is an amazing place to tour and fish There’s a wide range of fishes here: –Large Mouth Bass –Small Mouth Bass –Bluegill –Channel Catfish –Pungi –Oscar –Tilapia –Red Devil(Beautiful vivid red colorings) –and if you’re very lucky… the Tucanare or Peacock fish Lake Wilson may not be the cleanest looking place… but I guess because I grew up here, I never really gave it a second thought… I just remember all the fun memories of our family fishing all day :)
