History

Established in 1964.

Founded in 1964 by Dr. Alan T. Miyamoto, he was joined by his son, Dr. Michael R. Miyamoto, in 1987. They both graduated from Baltimore College of Dental Surgery in Maryland. They are both voted Honolulu Magazine’s Top Dentists in Hawaii by their peers, in 2009 and 2010; and Best Dentists in Hawaii, in 2011 and 2012.

Business Owner

Dr. Alan Miyamoto graduated from Baltimore College of Dental Surgery, Univ. of Maryland with a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree, and received a certificate of merit from the American Academy of Dental Medicine. After graduation he enlisted in the U.S. Air Force as captain in the Dental Corps and moved to Travis Air Force Base with his wife and son, Michael. While on duty there he served as part of a team of clinicians who performed a very successful oral/​facial makeover on a patient which was presented at the Northern California Dental Association Convention. Back home on Maui he was active in the community as the Maui Jr. Chamber of Commerce Jr. Golf chairman and AJA Veterans Inc.‘s VP, councilman and scholarship committee member, campaign chairman of the Easter Seal Society and chairman of the Tri-​isle Fluoridation Committee. Always giving back to the community, he donates his time and resources to the Nat’l Dental Services program which provides free dentistry to those in need.
