Style Worthy Salon

I wanted something drastic, and Trina gave me just that! I was feeling spontaneous, but knew I needed my hair trimmed, and didn’t want to go to any olé salon. I have mixed hair (African American Hawaiian Portuguese), and I needed to see a hairstylist that understood mixed ethnic hair; everything from the care, to how much to trim off, to what hairstyle would match me.
Turned to trusty Unilocal and found this lovely place! I called in to see if they had any open appointments, and they were so kind enough to squeeze me in towards their closing time. I was appointed to Trina, with no idea how I wanted my hair styled; I just knew I wanted something drastic. I told her I was kind of leaning towards a bob, but wasn’t sure if my hair would match it. She reassured me that in her hands that it would, and what was supposed to be a simple wash, dry, trim, and flat iron, turned into a complete hair makeover!
Based on pics I found and showed, Trina gave me exactly what I wanted and MORE!!! She talked me thru the process, asking for my opinion, while at the same time giving hers, and I had NO problem placing my utmost and complete trust in her with handling my hair. Now, let me tell you, I have NEVER in my life gone this short with my hair; never rocked a bob because I was too scared to cut this much off. But I am completely happy and satisfied with how she transformed me, and I am rest assured that I’m starting «anew» with growing my hair out healthier.
I totally recommend this salon to all women out there with mixed ethnic hair and are looking for hairstylists that understand and knows what’s best for their hair type! I will DEFINITELY be going back to this salon again; Trina and Shay are just amazing and talented women and I love and appreciate the work that they do!
Thanks to Style Worthy Salon, I don’t feel like just a basic woman anymore, and this drastic decision and result helped to instill a sense of confidence and beauty I felt I was lacking. :)

Shay is amazing! She slayed my hair! I got highlights, blow out, and a trim. I’ve found my stylist for the rest of my tour on the island! My hair has so much body and it’s super bouncey! Get your hair slayed by Shay! Plus, the prices are reasonable.
The shop is very clean and Shay is vert sweet. She is a master at her craft and she’ll take excellent care of your hair. She even gave me tips on how to keep my scalp from being so dry. I’m super happy with my hair!

Super friendly professional atmosphere great music, products and service. I’ve been looking for a place that could handle my head of hair and I finally found it. Trusting someone else with my hair is definitely not something I do normally. Shay has gained my trust and I will be back to get my doo done again as soon as my schedule will allow. She took the state of my hair, a photo of what I wanted and went to work. It was exactly what I needed and I didn’t have to tell her everything I wanted my cut and style to do. To me, that takes a certain talent that not all stylists are gifted with. She met, not only my expectations, but my husbands too.

I have been coming to this salon for a while now. With the new renovations and the professionalism this is the place I will be coming from now on. All the stylist are very nice and honest about what your hair need are. While some places are just here to style your hair, Style Worthy salon look out for the health of you hair also.

Wow! I am writing this review as I am leaving this place! First all shout out to shay for squeezing me in Mahalo for hooking up my hair! I needed a trim and a flat iron badly! She took my hair and did a fantastic job and she finished so fast! She was friendly! The price was up there:(but you get what you pay for! She did a fantastic job and I am soooooo happy with my hair

I wouldn’t trust anyone else with my relaxer. Shay works with great products and has a wealth of knowledge about all hair types. Going to miss Shay is always a positive and uplifting experience. My lil family and I appreciate your patience and great work.
