E Carroll Joyner Park

It’s well keep park and people using the park are friendly.

We love to come here just to walk around. There a a number of different paths to choose from. These are some old plantation buildings that my son loves to run around & check out. There is a nice pecan grove.

This is a beautiful park in Wake Forest with nice trails, open fields and swinging benches. We went on a Sunday evening and there was live music and many families came to sit in the grass with picnics to enjoy the weather and music. I read it was the Six Sundays in Spring event and looks like we made the last one on May 31^st. There were also a few food trucks at this event and it was really a perfect evening outdoors. The trails were very nice and we did a nice walk as a family. We also saw a few people with bicycles so it is perfect for bikers and kids.

This is a great place to get outside and enjoy the fresh air. It’s large enough to have a walking trail that’s a two mile loop, and it boasts many quality attractions such as: a pond, open fields of tall grass which you may frolic through, quaint bridges, heavily wooded areas, lightly wooded areas, regular benches, benches that are actually swings, a bench that CLEARLY must be a make-​out bench (because why else would they put it by itself at the end of a dead end trail surrounded by trees?), signposts bearing mysterious hieroglyphics of farm animals to direct you along the trails, a cluster of equally mysterious log-​cabiny farm buildings, ACTUAL BATHROOMS, an open-​air amphitheater in case you want to put on an impromptu play, and an English-​inspired flower garden.
Seriously, there is a lot going on here with this park, but I love it. The grounds are very well-​kept, and the walking trails are wide and paved with asphalt, so it’s a great place to go if you have a baby in a stroller, or kids who are just learning to ride bikes or roller blades or whatever.
The downside is that it can get crowded, which can be a problem if you want some solitude. I guess on the flip side, that can actually be a good thing, because it feels safe. It all depends on what you’re after.

I like this park a lot! There are paved trails and lots of benches, as well as some small cabin-​type buildings and open fields.
I’ve been there alone several times. It feels very safe to me.

Another Wedding in Joyner Park! My Bride took me to this place, I would not have expected a Park to be here, I guess because I always take the Haunted Highway!
Speedo Time? Probably Not, Yet! No Lake, no pool, no beach, no waterfalls, no Birdman Events (yet) and an extreme lack of Boulders! No Moai! I would rather go to Easter Island, though this is a convenient option! You asked, no you didn’t!

Great park to go to. Good place to take the dog as well walk around. Also there are periodic free ‘concerts’ and other events that are hosted here on weekends.

Living in Wake Forest, we are lucky because we do have many walking trails and areas for strolling with the pups but once Joyner park was established, we took full advantage.
Our dogs are in love with Joyner. The trails go all around the park in parts where you can see the kids play, people having picnics, and then you can take a trail that takes you into the wooded area where it is more isolated. This is great for pups that are STILL learning to behave themselves without getting too excited everytime they see anything else walking. Apparently, they think all the visitors are there to place with them and only them.
Joyner park also has a mini outdoor theater area where the Six Sundays in Spring take place. For six Sundays in Spring, there are free spring outdoor concerts from various bands– jazz, bluegrass, zydeco, and more.
If you want to take some cool photos of the fam, or pups, this is a great place! There are a couple of old barns that look really cool in the rolling hills of Joyner. Visit, if you can!!! Good times! Wake Forest has a true gem in Joyner!

This park is relatively new. Great walkways and paths. Never seems to be crowded.

A beautiful, clean park with lots of trails AND it’s not even 5 minutes from my house? How fantastic! I really like Joyner Park. Just yesterday I was there walking the dog and a young deer went bounding through the fields right near us — very picturesque! There is a nice bathroom facility, amphitheater, «old» log cabins, and doggie poop bag poles (which I appreciate since I can never remember to bring my bags with me), plenty of shade, and lots of benches for sitting and enjoying nature.
My one comment would be to have more trash cans around the trails… yesterday I spent a good mile carrying around a poopie bag until I came across a trash can that was along the path I was traveling. Otherwise, this is the perfect place for family picnics, walking the dog, taking a run, or just sitting and enjoying the scenery.
