Because he can, Davis has renovated his own historic home and repainted each room many times in 25 years. «Painting a room is the easiest way to breathe new life into a room and bring it up-to-date,» says Davis. Utilizing his expertise in color theory, Davis enjoys choosing paint colors to complement fabrics, wallpaper and the overall décor to create a room that is harmonious with the personality of the home and individual. It wouldn’t be unusual to find one or two walls or nook in one room of the Davis home painted with completely different colors — the ceiling as well.
When not painting homes Davis turns his brush to the canvas. As a member of The Copley Society on Newbury Street, the Concord Art Association as well as others, his landscape paintings are in many homes throughout New England.
Davis lives in Wakefield with his wife Cindy and their two Weimaraner’s Buck and Sadie. Sadie hadn’t yet joined the family when Gary designed his logo.
