Early Harvest Diner is the latest endeavor of R&J Restaurant Group LLC. Our goal is to provide the community with elevated comfort food accompanied by superb service. Chef and co-​owner Jetmir Veritopi and co-​owner Red Rami are dedicated to creating American classics with a Mediterranean twist using fresh, local, and sustainable food. Through our relationship with nearby farms and vendors, we will have the ability to provide a variety of exciting specials that change daily based on what is looking the most delicious that day. With the help of consultant Alison Poor, we are committed to being an environmentally conscious establishment from our reclaimed booths and tables to our composting bins and recycled materials. Early Harvest Diner aims to become a vital part of the community.

Business Owner

Chef Jetmir moved to the United States from Albania when he was 14 years old. He has always worked in restaurants. Chef Jetmir’s style includes paring seasonal delicacies with his childhood family favorites. The cherished traditional recipes he grew up with are given new life with the abundance of vibrant New England. Through his relationship with nearby farms and vendors, he has the ability to provide a variety of exciting specials that change daily based on what is looking the most delicious that day.

I went here the other day with my husband for breakfast. The food was alright, but nothing special for the price. Definitely expensive for simple breakfast food. They did do a nice job renovating the place, but the space is huge and we were the only ones there. I would recommend at least turning up the music so it’s not so silent and awkward.

Wakefield has been aching for a good breakfast place. Finally something solid came into town. Place is super clean, staff is friendly and accommodating, food is delish (try the pulled turkey sandwich) and the owner never misses a chance to say «hi» to you:) Great job guys, highly recommend

I generally stay on my feet too long and wait too long to eat so hospitality can go a long way when I finally get into a place. I got in right before closing, both the waiter and what I assume was the owner were great, offering me the paper to read while I waited for my meal, and a free cup of soup. the sandwich I got, the Mediterranean, really expertly cooked chicken filet, with some roasted peppers, tzatziki on ciabatta could not have been any better. super friendly service and food I would gladly come back for. what else do you want.

Stopped in for breakfast today and it was fabulous! The diner has a great setup and is super clean and bright. There was a bit of a wait building up after we were sat, but we never felt rushed. Our waitress was wonderful, she was super attentive and friendly and the manager stopped by all the tables to check on everyone, which is always nice. I had the corned beef hash (made in house) and my Mom had an omelette. The portions were very large and the homefries, always the true barometer of a breakfast place, were excellent. The prices were reasonable, the food was delicious, and we will definitely be back soon!

Regular breakfast was huge, hash browns half the plate, sausage…4 links… eggs cooked perfectly… excellent job!

It’s nice to have another local breakfast choice. I had a ham, egg, and cheese sandwich on a bagel with a side of home fries. Tasty and filling. The potatoes were seasoned lightly and the portion was large. The diner is clean, fresh looking and I was impressed that the owner stopped by the tables to ask customers how they liked their meal. I felt that the value was equivalent to the good quality food. Coffee was a «6» on a scale of 1 – 10. Maybe ditch the jeans and have the servers wear uniforms instead… something about faded jeans and a fresh new dining experience does not mix well. I will return.

We were so excited to try the new breakfast place in town and it did not disappoint! We walked in with 3 adults and 2 kids and quickly added two more adults — the staff could not be more accommodating. Everyone was so nice and friendly and the décor was refreshing! A nice shabby chic farmhouse setting to a meticulously clean restaurant — a great change to once was. Our food came and everyone was thrilled! I personally ordered the old time eggs benedict and it was delicious — only con was I would have liked a little more hollandaise sauce but still very good! My husband ordered the stuffed French toast and I have to say the bite I took left me wanting more! I can’t say enough how nice it was to have the waitress and owner check in on us to make sure everything was good. We will definitely be back! (As a matter of fact we just ordered takeout!) Can’t wait to try some lunch specials soon!

Cute décor, tasty breakfast, average pricing. This is a new little diner that is slightly off the beaten path. The food is good, service excellent, and the diner is very cute. It’s well worth a visit. The portions are generous without being overly large. As the ingredients are all top-​notch, the pricing is also reasonable. This is not the cheapest breakfast in Wakefield, nor is it the most expensive. It is a nice change of pace from other restaurants that are just average or greasy spoons.

Ordered my breakfast — eggs florentine which comes with 2 eggs, english muffins, spinach & tomato. The waitress asked, «Do you want white or wheat english muffins»? I said «Wheat». When I got my bill I was charged an extra $ 1.00 for a substitution english muffin. English muffin is included in the meal. So, why was I charged an extra buck for ordering a wheat english muffin!!! I took a point off for that. All in all — the food was great, plentiful, and the place was clean. Just be aware there may be hidden fees.

Always excited to try a new restaurant and this one did not disappoint. Will definitely come back. The restaurant itself appeared new and clean and the atmosphere was rustic and homey. The wait staff was very attentive. I ordered the corned beef hash which they make themselves which is not usually the case. It was very good. My daughter got a Bagel sandwich which she had with egg whites. They were very accommodating to her ordering requests.
