One of my favorite spots in the Wakefield/Stoneham area. A solid standby when you’re in the mood for straight up pub food. All the apps are great, not to mention the complimentary soda bread. Be sure and sit, or at least stop by the bar as Erin is simply the best bartender around.

Great service and atmosphere. The Mac and cheese and chicken fingers were a big hit with my 4 year old. There buffalo Chicken wad great and a good portion. We had the zucchini chips were so good I will be back just for those. Easy booths for kids to sit and fast service.

Jury is out here. Been several times. Just don’t understand how the bar staff cannot pull a pint of Guinness properly. At least get THAT right. And…lose the attitude.

Seriously! Sunday, April 3rd I came here with my sister and hubby as she was visiting from out of town and wanted to give her an adults out night without the kids. It was just dinner and we honestly were in no rush. We came at about 8 pm. The place was pretty empty and were seated right away. Our waitress came up and said something about not having enough coffee yet. We all laughed and ordered our drinks. They came about five minutes later. No complimentary soda bread. waitress came back to take order and we had wanted an app so we ordered that along with entrees. 15 min later our entrees arrived. NOAPP. The rest of the evening the waitress was so rude and didn’t stay long enough at table for us to even answer any of her questions. We might have stayed for quite a few more drinks but this waitress was practically pushing us out the door! It might be quite a while before we decide to go back again, so disappointing.

—— Now the food review — - The steak was overcooked … Mashed potatoes horrible… The waitress«the highlight of the night» offered to get a new steak… We were afraid… Won’t be back any time soon… Went to talk to the manager — he was to busy playing his musical instrument on stage then to worry about his customers… Good luck on your musical career. You suck managing this restaurant!!! b

Nice cozy place. Excellent kids menu. I had fish and chips very good. Friendly warm service, good value for pub fare food. The place was packed. Excellent buffalo wings and my 6 year old nephew inhaled the Mac and cheese. Other folks in our party had wrap and burger in which they enjoyed.

Dark, small and loud. Drunks at the Bar kept dropping the«F Bomb». Food was nothing special. To many better places close by.

I have been going to HARRINGTONS since it opened and it was always a great experience– enjoying the food. Service and ambiance! However; my most recent visit was not a very PLEASANT one as things had seemed to change… The Irish Bread remained the same and was tasty and wonderful as before I cannot rate the bar/or alcoholic drinks as I don’t drink This place once one of my fav’s is NO longer I am not fond of noisy places and not sure why this place was so very loud … A huge turnoff for me! I ordered my usual Shepards Pie and disappointed that it was just lukewarm but I did eat a small amount and took the rest home despite that it had been a long day and I was Hungry! Also; I am not being nice but our Server was so Clueless and not A good server… She was so slow and maybe that is the reason my food was not hot enough! She did not return and ask how our meal was … A big NONO for me… I had been a server for more than 10 years so I can be a bit critical … If I get a great server believe me the server gets probably the best tip of their shift and if they are crappy I tip on my point scale… Haha my hubby laughs at me but hey I want to have them want to serve me… After all that was how I treated my customers when I waited on them… I took pride in my work and I expect the same. So I remember I did not tip her well but she got the tip she was deserving of… I never feel embarrassed if at times I choose to not leave a penny… Enough said I may give this joint one more try as I do like their bread and Shepards pie But if the noise level drives me crazy as it did on my last visit… I won’t be returning

Went there a couple of days ago. Food was mediocre, but they charged full price for a second cup of coffee. The place is very loud, bad acoustics. You can’t carry on a conversation.

In the past month, I visited Harrington’s twice. Once, on a Saturday afternoon for lunch, and again on Mother’s Day. Both times, the service was excellent. I was fortunate enough to have the same wait person, and she was great! Friendly, attentive(without hovering) and efficient. Our meals were great. For the Saturday lunch, my mother got the haddock and I got the bacon avacado burger. We were both more than happy with our meals. We started with the zucchini chips as an appetizer, and they were outstanding! On Mother’s Day, after seeing the new Avengers movie, we popped in for a late lunch/early dinner. My husband got the steak tips with rice and veggies. He is very picky about his steak tips. They were cooked to perfection, just the way he ordered them, and he proclaimed them«OUTSTANDING.» I got the bacon avacado burger again, because I had been dreaming about it since I had it the first time. Once again, scrumptious! My son had the baked stuffed haddock, and he loved it! My daughter had the Ceaser salad, and she loved that as well. I love their drinks, the lemon-drop martini is the best here! I find the look of the place to be charming and comfy. In all the years I have been coming here, I think I have only had one negative experience. It is definitely one of my favorite places to go when I want a causual, cozy dining experience with good food.

Do you like shitty tasteless food? Hard wooden chairs and the acoustics of a prison? Prison style meals served by prison hardened looking women. I’d rather spend a week in the House of Correction than be subjected to this shithole that looks like a retired fishermans basement bar. BARF

Loud and obnoxious regulars, it’s an Irish pub, so no shocker there. Service is embarrassing. My waitress was confused and rude. The wings come in 4 flavors, buffalo, bourbon, bbq and plain. We tried them all and they were pretty good. Crispy and tasty with good dipping condiments. However, for 75 cents each, I should be getting a full wing and not a bone with a scrap of meat on it. I got the mushroom and onion burger. It’s a standard messy burger on brioche. Nothing to rave about. However, they do know how to make perfect«well done» fries. Overall… a no go.

I have to say the meatloaf with mashed potatoes and broccoli wasn’t bad. The corn beef and cabbage looked good. I shall return.

Went there a couple of weeks ago, and the service was terrible, food was mediocre. The last few times I’ve gone there I haven’t been impressed, so probably not bothering to go back with plenty of other options.

Food: Ordered steak with FF. For good measure, they put carrots on my plate. $ 20. Steak was good! Excellent value for a simple dinner prepared well. Service: I sat at the bar and had wonderful service. Bartender was very nice. Vibe: It’s a small pub– nothing fancy– and looks to be a neighborhood favorite. I’d return.

I personally think this is one of the best places in/around Wakefield for a drink and a light casual dinner. The staff is always really nice in every possible way, the food is actually quite good and there are drinks to suit everybody’s taste. So what’s not to like about this place?

Food was as expected from other reviews. Bland irish pub food. However– I will say that this is an old stereotype about Ireland’s pubs. I had some of the best food while visiting Ireland. Prices were reasonable. Place was clean. Nothing exceptional either way. Middle of the road kind of place. Went back again due to a lack of options in town at this hour. Limited bar seating. Funky smells.

I have lived in Wakefield for eight years and Harrington’s has been my go-to place for dinner or a drink. The people here giving it one star and saying they don’t have any Irish food need to learn to flip the flippin’ menu over! They have a whole section of Irish food including Shepard’s Pie, Beef in Guinness, Corned Beef and Cabbage and more. I’ve honsstly never had anything I didn’t like here. I love their Fish & Chips! Harrington’s is arguably the best pub in all of Wakefield. It’s not as large as some places but it’s got great food and service. They also have live music some nights and it’s a great place to unwind. If you don’t like noise, that might be an issue because it can get noisy inside. Parking is pretty easy with the lot right across the street and if you’re lucky you can park right in front of the pub. My experiences, food and drinks here have been nothing the stellar. Their Oatmeal Cookie martini is amazing! My wife also rented their top floor room for my graduation party and everything was awesome. Great service, great food, great fun.
