Lanzo Construction

Lanzo Construction did a great job rebuilding our back porch. The price was fair and the craftsmanship is awesome. Project included:
* Securing of permits
* Demolition and disposal of original porch
* Rebuilding of the porch on the same footprint (pressure treated and fir)
The operation is a family affair: Jamie is the owner and his father Bill helped with the work. They were really delightful to have on the property. Professional, polite, and clean.
In addition to the standard porch replacement, Jamie did some additional work showing off his fine craftsmanship. He poured concrete steps and installed a new door in the bulkhead entry to our basement adjacent to the porch (we had a rodent intrusion problem through the shabby old bulkhead and I am confident that problem is now resolved). He made a custom swinging door for the fence adjacent to the porch, which is a major upgrade to the loose piece of lattice we would just prop against the opening (classy!). And Jamie created hanging sliding panels that allow easy access to the storage area beneath the porch.
The only negative was typical contractor stuff: Jamie was sometimes slow to respond and difficult to pin down when we were trying to schedule the start date of the project. The project took a bit longer than he originally estimated. But the problems were not a major inconvenience, and were nothing compared to many other contractors I have worked with! I am very pleased with all the work and I am happy to post this favorable endorsement!
