Family Affordable Fun Meets Quality Baseball

The Ocean State Waves are part of the NECBL and play home games at Old Mountain Field (875 Kingstown Rd., South Kingstown) all summer long.

Home games Mon-​Sat are at 6:05 and Sundays are at 4:05. Ticket prices are $ 4 for Adults, $ 2 for Senior Citizen & 13 – 17, $ 1 for 12 & under, Free-​Military ID. Come enjoy a family friendly ball park, food trucks and quality baseball.

History

Established in 2012.

The Ocean State Waves were accepted into the historic New England Collegiate Baseball League in 2012. Currently, the NECBL has 111 Alumni that have played on MLB Teams and over 300 have played professionally.

Meet the Business Owner

Matt F.

Business Owner

Matt Finlayson enters his third year as the Waves General Manager and first as Team President. Finlayson handles the day to day operations for the club and is the primary contact for sponsorship, marketing, community relations and player personnel. He also is in charge of hiring the coaching staff and oversees the internship program.

Finlayson graduated from Salve Regina University in 2008 with a degree in accounting and graduated from UMass Amherst in 2009 with a master’s degree in sport management. While at SRU, he was a four-​year starter for the men’s baseball team, captained the club his senior season and was a three time CCC All-​Conference Selection. He finished his career as the program’s record holder for stolen bases and games started. Finlayson also earned CCC Scholar Athlete of the Year and SRU Senior Scholar Athlete.
