Raspberry Beret

I have been coming to raspberry Beret for about ten years now. I started going with a good friend of mine and I fell in love with it instantly! As soon as I walk in I feel very welcomed. The atmosphere is cozy and I love the color of the walls.(purple) it brings a sense of peace to you as soon as you walk in. They have cute little drawers stuffed with scarves and other fun accessories. I always love browsing in them and opening all of the drawers like you are in you grandmothers old attic. They also have a $ 2 bin which I love by he two dressing rooms they have and the dressing rooms are super cute too. They have curtains that hang down and long mirrors so u can see how the cloths you try on fit!
The staff are very friendly and they help you get different a sized cloths and let you know nicely if it looks good on you or if it doesn’t. The music they play is always soft and helps you to shop at ease. ;) they have racks with shirts, dresses, and gym stuff. They also have racks in the middle of the store with all different types of jeans and sizes. I always find good items there whenever I go! I found this super cute polka dot dress it was vintage style for my sisters dress rehearsal night a few years ago and I got tons of compliments. They said I looked like the girls on the show «Mad Men» which I love. ;) I have gotten shirts and jeans as well.
I also consign with them. They usually take most of my cloths which I am greatful for because I spend a lot of money on the cloths I own. And I take good care of my cloths as well. They take shoes, belts and scarves;) They have all sorts of brand names that are in great quality! If you have not been to this store yet I highly recommend this store! I can’t wait to go back soon after all of these years!;)

I heard about this place from many people. Today I decided I would check it out after work. Looked it up on Google, and it says that it is open until seven. I get there around 4:30 and there is a huge sign that says «Revamping-​CLOSED until August 26^th». I wish I had known instead of driving all the way there. Once I got home, I visited their site to see if anything was posted about that, and found nothing. They really should notify Google since they claim that they are currently open. New customers/​people that do not live in the area are not aware of the closed status. I probably won’t go back now.

Love this place– the bulk if my clothes now come from Raspberry Beret. I wanted to stop supporting sweatshop clothing labor a few years back and after realizing how nearly impossible it was to buy fair trade professional clothes, I tried consignment. Raspberry Beret is the most selective so there’s no need to sort through to find «the good stuff.» Like any consignment shop it can bet hit or miss but personally, it’s like an ⁸⁰⁄₂₀ hit miss which is great :)

Came here for a red scarf for a costume. Found one on sale for a dolar. With my Unilocal check in dollar off promo code, it was free! Can’t beat that.

Unfortunately, I had a very bad experience at Raspberry Beret in Wakefield today. I had written down the date and time on my calendar for my consignment appointment. Today was the the date. This was not my first appointment, as I have been a customer for awhile. I arrived 10mins early and when I walked in I observed the employee who was working, She looked a bit put out. Mind you no one else was in the store at the time. I gave her my name and said I had an appointment. She looked me up in the computer and said I did not. I was surprised and I said, «hmmm, that’s odd. Well do you think you can help me out?» She definitely didn’t want to, and did NOT! She said, «Well, we are pretty full.» She didn’t look at anything and didn’t ask if I wanted to re-​schedule. I am quite annoyed by the lack of customer service. Like I said, no one else was there. Just plain rude!

This is my consignment shop. I’ve cosigned here, and actually have another appointment to bring in some more stuff!
They have everything from no –namers to Coach — shoes, clothes, accessories, etc. They even have the latest trends posted throughout the store, and will give you advice on an outfit you put together! Plus if you consign and leave your account balance with them, they will give you 15% off your purchase!

We love Raspberry Beret and go there all the time. My daughter always wants to go look around and I usually think I’ll walk out empty handed. BUT NO, we always leave there with a huge bag of stuff!
They will even let you hold shopping parties there. I haven’t done that yet but am very much looking forward to planning one.
I have seen more and more consignment shops open up in the area which is a great thing. We always end up making Raspberry Beret our number one choice though. No one can compete with this place!

I love Raspberry Beret. I drive by here every day on my way to work so I make it a point to stop by here once every other week just to browse. I always end up finding something that works at a reasonable price (can you say $ 20 Coach flats? And $ 10 for an adorable Betsy Johnson LBD? Among other awesome deals I’ve scored in here. Yesss).
The shop itself is somewhat small, but they definitely make use of the space they have by having clothes, bags, jewelry, etc. for you to look at everywhere! The décor is very modern and chic, but at the same time I feel like I’m going through one of my girlfriend’s closet figuring out what I can wear haha
They always have a great selection. Whether you’re looking for something fun, something dressy, or something out of the ordinary for a bargain make sure you check here first! You will definitely find something stylish, and cheap (not cheaply-​made :))
Oh, and joining the e-​mail list is definitely worth it. They email you with awesome coupons (not just to the Wakefield one, but to Cambridge as well if you’re up for an adventure) and also if they get anything new and awesome in stock.

After about my 5^th amazing visit to this store today, when I snagged a dress, a cardigan, and a Michael Stars top for $ 28 (only slightly less amazing than last time, when i got 4 tops and a bag for $ 23 during their half-​off sale), I decided I needed to sing Raspberry Beret’s praises to the Unilocal world.
Besides being adorably decorated, as other reviewers have mentioned, all of the clothing and accessories are high-​quality, clean, and stylish. While I love the occasional «bargain bin» hunt at Goodwill or Salvation Army, this place makes it extremely easy to browse, as clothes are mostly organized by color and size, and you’ll even find almost-​new stuff from Free People, H&M, etc. etc. And the prices, as I mentioned above, are seriously out of control. $ 8-​$ 15 for a «pre-​owned» and cute-​as-​heck top? Yes please. The staff is always great — no matter which girl is working, they’re all very friendly, and though I’m usually not extremely outgoing when shopping, the cozy atmosphere seems to lend itself to chatting about my awesome finds when I check out. :)

I really love this place. It’s just GORGEOUSLY decorated, all Moroccan with bright colors and big mirrors and fluffy pillows… Excellent selection and surprisingly low prices and varied sizes for a current-​trend consignment shop (unlike Second Time Around for instance). My only beef is with their consignment policy which essentially states that unless your item is high-​value (over $ 50), if it doesn’t sell in x number of days, they get to keep it. For free. Meh.
But, I haven’t sold here, just bought. It’s fun to rifle through the little bureaus and other displays to find hidden gems.

2÷7÷2011 Changed only cause I consigned and on my register slip says no donation of high-​end clothing. Recently picked up check and bebe pants consigned when I went in there last year I was told everything sold. Sometimes, i dont mind but not the high-​end designer items. Sorry.

I’ve been going to Rasberry Beret in the Wakefield location since it opened several years ago, now. The Rasberry Beret really helped me when I started to transition from a poor student/​waitress, to a professional career where I needed to dress nicely– but was still wicked broke!
I’ve never consigned here, only bought stuff.
I love the décor and branding of the place (sorry, I’m into that stuff) — the store has bright raspberry pink walls, glittering starts– just a chic girl’s dream! They’re always changing the display outfits in the windows, too. The dressing rooms have pages of magazine’s featuring the latest fashion trends hung artfully on the walls and the owner features similar products she has in the store with them– a bargain fashionista’s dream! She does the hard work for you!
All the clothing is really affordable any time you go there — and I’ve never had a problem with the quality of things I buy there– never any holes or tears, etc. Just nice-​looking stuff that you could honestly pass off as almost new! It’s like buying a slightly used car — in a few months of use, what’s the difference if you bought it brand new or almost new? THE PRICE!
I really love going during sales because the deals are unbelievable! They also have a $ 2 bargain bin which i must go through every time I’m there! I love this place, and I don’t find it as overwhelming or messy as other consignment shops.
It’s really a great little place, and I think you’re bound to find something you really like there at a really great price!

I AM a fan of this place! I have both consigned and purchased items here and got a great deal on both. Some of my favorite items have been purchased at «The Beret». My only complaint (and this is minor) is that I have to drive here because I am in Medford. But it’s worth it because I find a treasure every time I’m in there. Their prices are so reasonable!

I consigned with this place for the first time and will NEVER do business again with them. If you’re a shopper that’s fine, but do not consign with these people. They are unprofessional, rude and they lie.
I have been consigning for many years and have had wonderful experience with all my consignment shops. I have great relationships with the consignment shops I do business with. They get excited when they see me coming because my stuff sells ! With the Raspberry Beret, I dropped off my clothes to be consigned and clearly told them I was a DND, which means DO NOT DONATE, if you’re not familiar with the lingo. I went my 60 days and called to let them know I will be in town on a certain date to retrieve my items that didn’t sell. To my horror when I arrived my merchandise i was told was donated. It didn’t matter if it was ring or a $ 2 blouse, those items belonged to me. I was upset because I had communicated on the phone I was coming in to get my shirts and the woman «RACHEL» told me it wasn’t high end so they donated it. Don’t get me wrong the store is adorable but I was very upset that they told me on the phone the previous day that I can come in and then they were gone. I told her i would never do business with her again got my pathetic check, which by the way they consign at ⁶⁰⁄₄₀ which sucks, I got my sad check and left.
So consigners BE AWARE, do don’t do business with them.

Like some other reviewers I drove by this place a million times. It has such a great name that you can’t NOT notice it. I finally went in last month and spent forever wandering around the store. The woman who was working was so friendly and helpful. You can’t help but buy something there — I got a fabulous pair of furry high heels by Micheal Kors and a few shirts. The Cambridge store is bigger, but this one is just as cool.

This is a great store. The clothes are inexpensive, yet are in perfect condition. There is a large selection of clothes that are well displayed. I loved the sweater I got and I also tried on many cute dresses. There was not a large selection of vintage clothing when I went, but I will be back to see if there is more next time!

–well-​stocked (read «not cluttered) for a small store
–loads of clothes, shoes and accessories (i love their bangles made from fabrics and other sparkly things), jewelry oh my!!!
–scored a dress for a wedding there for $ 30 w/​tags still on.
–Staff was very helpful and tracked down this dress that I overlooked…
(how could I overlook this gem with its shiny trim!!!)
–Staff was cool and professional on the phone giving info. to a current consignor.
-$ 2 bin… I love it… only today everything was micro-​small sizes…

Raspberry Beret, where have you been all my life? :-D I went there today after seeing the other glowing reviews on Unilocal and had an absolute blast looking around. It’s definitely not your typical consignment store – the staff is really helpful, the interior is super cute, and the merchandise is trendy. It’s also a great place to go if you’re looking for funky jewelry. Great deals there! I came home with a pair of boots, blouse, skirt, and a sweater for only 50 bucks.
They have a $ 2 bin in the back that’s fun to sort through. It’s like hunting! ;-) If you’ve never shopped their before, sign up for their email list to get coupons and info on specials they have going on.

Raspberry Beret has been my favorite shop in Wakefield for about eight years. Its great and it has only gotten better as time goes on. Even when I lived in Salem and there were other shops to take my clothes I always made the trip back to consign with them. I love the whole store… The vintage stuff is great like the cutest black shoes I recently got there. It is the perfect place to shop and consign at.

Although I am still somewhat an amateur at Vintage shopping, I think I did pretty well at Raspberry Beret. The owner’s mother-​in-​law was working and was extremely helpful and super polite/​down to earth. There was a lot of cute items… I found a few designer pieces in great condition such as Prada and Diane Von Furstenburg! They were in great condition and were never worn. There was also a great selection of 50’s, 60’s, and 70’s vintage dresses/​outfits that were in great condition. RB has a nice selection of cute and quirky jewelry as well! This is a fun store with a super inviting atmosphere… with its fuschia walls and dressing rooms adorned with pillows and AWESOME lamp stands made of concrete blocks (GENIUS IDEA). I will definitely be frequenting this neat little find in the future!
Who knows. maybe next time I’ll buy the 1930’s looking green hat… ;) And lastly. RB is so easy to get to if you live in the area, it is right on Main street!
