History

Established in 1973.

Wakefield Tire Center, established by Larry Garvin in 1973 servicing tires only. Over the years things started to change and we developed into a full service auto repair shop! We do everything from brakes, shocks, tune-​ups, belts, scan check engine lights, and service all your maintenance and diagnostic needs.

I work in Wakefield and have taken my car into Wakefield Tire several times in the past few years to get tires patched. I need new tires but because of my work schedule, I couldn’t make it during the hours they needed me to be there. Instead of me going somewhere else or saying they couldn’t do it, they offered to pick up my car and drop it back off within a couple hours while I was at work… perfect! I have the upmost respect and trust in Wakefield Tire. Highly recommended!

Wakefield Tire is my go to place for all car repairs. Kenny and Rick are great — they’re always there when you need them, provide honest estimates and fix your car right the first time. They have completed repairs such as brakes, tires, suspension and all came out welll and at a fair price, far below what a dealer would charge. I highly reccomend them!

Today I walked out of my house and found a nail in my tire that had rendered it quite flat. Not happy. But the guys at Wakefield Tire put a smile back on my face much sooner than I expected. Fast, friendly, and reasonably priced. Can’t ask for much more than that.

I have been taking my car to Wakefield tire for a few years now. Usually just for tire service & regular maintenance. Never got that feeling that I was being ripped off or sold anything I didn’t really need like I do at many other shops.
I took my mothers car in the the other day to have a dragging parking brake checked. They got the brake unstuck and didn’t charge me anything. Most any other shop would have sold me a complete brake job and I wouldn’t be none the wiser.
It is that kind of service and honesty that is rarely seen in any business today.
As long as I work & live in the area I will keep bringing my cars to this shop.
