Joy A. Johnson is a New York Fashion Week Nail Stylist, Makeup Stylist and International Educator for American International Industries (Aii) for brands such as Ardell Lashes & China Glaze Nail Lacquer. Nails & Faces of Joy Spa offers an array of beauty services rendered by a dedicated, intimate and highly trained/​experienced staff. The a la carte services include manicures, pedicures, makeup applications, lash enhancements, massages, full body waxing, spray tanning, henna and more. Members of our professional staff can also cater to our clients’ special events/​public appearances, either on-​site or for an on-​location booking. The Spa also offers an array of Beauty Education classes, geared to segments of the community and/​or Beauty Industry technicians. Business Owner

Joy A. Johnson was inspired by the natural and inner beauty of her late Mother and model, her passion for the artistry of beauty and makeup was fostered in later years but has led her down a path to pursue her place in the beauty industry.

Joy’s natural sense of style and keen business sense have resulted in her establishing Faces of Joy Makeup Artistry in 2008, which was recently expanded in 2010 with the addition of her companion company, Nails of Joy.

Professionally trained at Bennett Career Institute in Washington, D.C., Joy had the privilege to study under many of the industry’s best such as Sam Fine, Valente Frazier, Danessa Myricks, Billy B and James Vincent. She enjoys sharing her artistic knowledge through teaching other artists as well as consumers about the art of makeup and world of beauty. Joy knows and appreciates the value of education and the positive change it can bring about.
