Handy Haven Rv Park & Car Wash

Worst car wash ever. We paid $ 8 for nothing. Very outdated and rough brushes. Only good for small vehicles with no added parts such as canopies or racks and are not dirty. Not only do the brushes not clean at all I think it mainly ran water over our truck so it looks like we drove through a large puddle.

I almost thought my boyfriend already wrote the other review, as it was EXACTLY our story! lol. We, too, were on the road through Waldsport (and couldn’t make it to our next pit stop) The place had a few open spots. We pulled in, tried to find the office (it’s over by the car wash), so we got hooked up. Full hook-​ups, wi-​f, i and cable for our TV even! The owner knocked on our door after dinner, he was polite and friendly. The bathrooms were clean and roomy. The place was quiet all night, and we headed out first thing. It was just what we needed!

We stumbled into this place late one night, somewhat desperate for a place to stay. At first glance, it looks a little run down… and it probably is. All of the sites that were occupied were filled with long-​term tenants. We were the only folks with short-​term RV intentions. After all is said, I still highly recommend this place.
If gold plated restroom fixtures are high on your priority list, this is not the place. But, the restrooms were clean and the showers were hot. I can’t complain as I have certainly seen worse.
The best thing about this place is the proximity to the beach. Literally right across the street. Great opportunity to catch a wicked sunset. We packed up a bottle of wine and dinners and had an amazing campfire on the beach.
This place is small, probably no more than 12 RV sites, but if you’re looking to get away from the masses consider a stop here. The long-​term tenants are quite the characters, but very friendly and you’ll have a story to tell after you talk to them.
Pizza place across the street is inexpensive and worth a visit if you’re looking for food.
Service was good, and if you feel compelled there is even a car wash on site. Best assessment, don’t judge a book by its cover.
