Memories Pizza

Just spent the weekend with friends in the South Bend area. I made sure to stop by at Memorie’s Pizza while in the area — as I always do. It was another fantastic visit. The owners are kind people, the service was attentive and the pizza excellent. I can’t wait to return in July.

This has to be some of the worst pizza and service in the state. The crust tasted like cardboard and the sauce I’m sure is from a can. Avoid this establishment.

Horrible pizza. Unwelcoming staff. Do not go to this restaurant unless you want to eat pizza that tastes like cardboard. This place needs a lot of work and new management.

This pizzeria is awful. The pizza tastes like it has dog food mixed in to it, the soda is either sludge or water soda, and the staff is extremely rude. The worst flavor of pizza is pineapple pizza. I mean, COME ON, Memory. You screwed up pineapple pizza and somehow managed to over cook AND under cook it? It can’t be a coincidence that I got food poisoning. Worst restaurant I went to during my visit to Indiana. Do NOT go here. I WARN YOU.

Visited Indiana, Horrible pizza. Dough is dry, pizza sauce taste like spoiled ketchup and topping remind me of rotten beef jerky.
I would not serve this to my worst enemy.
Maybe someone on deathrow is worthy of this as their last meal… if they are truly guilty:)

This pizza was atrocious. All the good reviews were clearly written by someone who works for them. It came out cold and had several hairs on and around the pizza. I’m not kidding. When I showed it to them the owner herself came out and told me to just eat it anyway and that it wasn’t a big deal.
Disgusted I left and went to the restroom. Dirty beyond belief. The toilets hadn’t been cleaned in weeks it looked like! Pee all over the floor and a smell like a gas station bathroom. No paper towels and the stalls had no doors on them. I told the employees about it and they snickered at me and started whispering to each other.
I decided to just forget about it and we started to eat the cold pizza when two customers seated at the booth next to us started swearing loudly and using disgusting terms to describe a woman’s anatomy. I asked our waitress if they could ask them to stop and she said they were friends of the owners and nobody was allowed to ask them to do anything.
Finally we’d had enough and walked out.
I cannot recommend enough that you do not eat here. Easily the worst experience at a restaurant I’ve ever had.

Worst pizza I’ve ever had. It was greasy and I felt sick for 2 days.

I came to visit family in Indiana for Thanksgiving. During our trip, we stopped here for a bit. And what a regret! The pizza was greasy and disgusting. Stay away from here.

Pizza came out burnt on the bottom and manager refused to make a correct one.

This place is Americana. A small town mom and pop operation that is very welcoming. Nothing against chains but they can’t duplicate what the independents can. The pizza was very tasty. Loved the cheese and crispy crust.
I’ll be back next chance I get.

Enjoyed the pizza and the people. Whenever I can travel through the area and I’m staying close and have a hankering for pizza this is the place.

I patronized this restaurant after the media frenzy had died down. Politics aside, their pizza was just mediocre as you would expect from any other similar-​looking place in small town Indiana. I also have to say that I agree with the other reviews that say the pizza is very greasy. I had to soak a lot of the grease up off of my pizza napkin before taking a bite out of it. I’d suggest skipping this one.

Came back since I’m in South Bend on business. Weird vibe, pizza was greasy but not as bad as first time but still not good.
Oddly enough the best thing here was the bread sticks which is odd as last time the pizza dough was deplorable. Today it was edible, but the pizza was so greasy we tossed most of it.
If you only judge this place by the quality of their flagship product (pizza) the only fair rating is one star. I will not be returning here in the future. China House will get my business or Subway if I’m in a rush.

Stopped in here for a bite on my cross country road trip. Staff was very inattentive. Pizza was mediocre. Will not be returning.

Nasty! Visiting with friends in the area, they hadn’t eaten there and we thought it might be good food. The service was slow, and they weren’t that busy. But worst of all was the food. We all were ill afterwards. Stay away is what we say.

Traveling for work IN and decided to see what all this fuss was about. Pizza: it was greasy, doughy, and by far the worst I’ve had-​akin to a generic frozen supermarket pizza. We also ordered a chicken Parmesan sandwich. Firstly, it was burned, the chicken left us wondering if there was actually any chicken in between the greasy breading. There are better choices in the area which are serving palatable food. Stay away from here.

When I was in the Walkerton, Indiana area I stopped by Memories Pizza. This is before the incident where they were setup by the TV Station in South Bend.
All I can say is that the pizza I ordered was very well made and the service was excellent. And to be quite honest that is the only thing I was concerned about.
And for the record I am a retired U.S. Marine, former business owner and Christian.
The food and service was very good. I thought that was the main purpose of Unilocal to let people know about the quality of food and the quality of the service.

Pizza is terrible. Crust is chewy, very little sauce that tastes like ketchup. Staff is rude, obnoxious and not helpful. Stay away.

This is actually just genuinely terrible pizza served by genuinely terrible people. I watched the employees touch their faces and then the food without washing their hands. Second the pizza is so nasty, it literally tastes like cardboard. These people should be shut down, what terrible people serving terrible food.

Pizza is horrible no taste their cheese tastes like rubber. It’s like playdo. The décor is lacking any modern look it has a old feel like a horror movie. I’ve had much better pizza
