History

Established in 2011.

Drawing on inspiration from Kory’s parent’s restaurant of 30 years, The Oak Table Café in Sequim, WA, Kory and Rachel Nagler have opened their own restaurant, The Maple Counter Café, with much love and excitement. Many of their recipes hail from Kory’s grandparent’s restaurant, a 1970s pancake house in south-side Chicago. At The Maple Counter, you can look forward to good, old-fashioned, homemade food, and a passion for service and quality that they hope will always exceed expectation.

Meet the Business Owner

Kory and Rachel N.

Business Owner

Kory and Rachel both grew up on Washington’s Olympic Peninsula, and fell in love with Walla Walla on a road trip they took here in 2008. They knew instantly that this is where they wanted to plant roots, raise a family, and open their dream restaurant. Rachel is also a talented artist, gardner and cat lover! Kory’s other passion is music. He is an amazing song writer, has a beautiful voice, plays nearly every instrument under the sun, and can be heard on his website, www.korynagler.com.
