Our specialty at Trio Vintners is a focus on unconventional Italian and Mediterranean varieties. As one of the few female owned boutique wineries in WA State, I produce 1,500 cases a year with a focus on quality versus quantity.

Our tasting room is currently pouring: Carmenere, Sangiovese, Mourvedre, Grenache, Tempranillo, and our S. Rhone style blend.

History

Established in 2006.

At Trio Vintners we challenge convention with off-​the-​radar varietals in a low-​oak style, higher natural acids and alcohol levels you can live with! As a femaile owned boutique winery we produce approximately 1,500 cases a year, with a focus on Italian and Mediterranean varieties. Our tasting room is conveniently located downtown Walla Walla inside the lobby of the historic Marcus Whitman Hotel.

Business Owner

Karen La Bonte, Winemaker & Owner waited a long time to be able to live her dream of owning a winery and becoming a winemaker as a second career. But finally, after 30 rewarding years in telecommunications she had the opportunity to execute that dream. Crossing the mountains from the West side of Washington State to the East side, she made her home in the heart of the Washington wine country in the small rural town of Walla Walla. Never looking back she’s enjoyed both the pleasures and the challenges (weather can make harvest tough!) of the industry while living in one of the premier wine countries within the United States. Most days you’ll find her working the tasting room herself… so stop by and experience the wine and hear her story first hand!
