This place really has one thing going for it, convenience of not being a big franchise like Planet or Edge. This gym has so much more potential to be better than it currently is. I was looking to join but after my trial, I will not. During my trial I went to go use the dumbbells, but to my surprise almost all the lower weights(below 50lbs) were gone. Did someone take them, are they coming back?. They have a variety of machines in the other room and a turf mat. I did like that area. They have classes as part of the orange card but this just seems like it was half assed designed. Paper sign written in marker telling not to come in when class is in session. Why couldn’t you type that up and put your logo on? They have a cardio theater which is similar to edge but only if you have the orange card(again, why). I asked the rep how they know who goes in. He says«we kind of monitor it». The locker rooms are a joke. They have so much extra space it’s like they ran out of money to put more lockers and having one bench is not sufficient. I sat on it and felt like it was going to tip over. They redid the showers and looked to be done but then again it didn’t. They have a women’s only area which is nice for the ladies but the door is always open. Doesn’t that defeat the purpose so they feel comfortable working out without getting the stare down. I must say the price for 19.99 includes free guests Thursday-Sun, classes, tanning, half off the drinks(smoothies too). This price seems good for the extras but the gym itself needs major work. More seating and storage in the locker room, replace the missing Dumbbells and could use to add another full rack. Some of the floor needs to be fixed. The location was great for me but it’s not worth it unless they improve on these areas.

BEWARE!!! the gym itself is fine for the price, but the company is corrupt and fraudulent. my year-long contract was up, i sent my cancellation notice 30 days in advance via certified mail(you have to jump through major hoops even after your full year commitment to stop being billed) and i continue to be harassed via phone for another months payment. at this point, i am willing to send them a check just to get them off my back, BUT they will not send me a bill so i can mail in payment with some kind of traceable record and want me to give them my credit card number instead. since i do not trust them with my info, they are threatening to mar my credit rating. next stop is the state attorney general’s office. club 24(and their parent company, national fitness) is a sleazy operation at best!

Never did the caveat«read the fine print» apply like it does at the gym. Previous posters on this as proof. While the employees seem to be very nice, and the facilities adequate, the cancellation process is Byzantine and… seems purposefully designed to ensnare members indefinitely. Whatever you do, beware that it is easier to get a one on one with the president than to cancel your membership.

NEVEREVERSIGNUPHERE!!! Go to Planet Fitness! I canceled my membership and they charged me my monthly fee 2 weeks after canceling. Then 1 week later they charged me $ 30.21 a charge that is no where near my monthly fee. They like to scam and rip people off.

This is a horrendously pathetic excuse for a gym; this statement is largely based on how difficult it is to cancel. The customer service number I had to call first had to «approve» or deny me for cancellation. They better had approved me, because I moved 3,000 miles away to a state where they don’t operate. Then they wanted me to fax my BANK statement to them. Sorry, but I’m not faxing that person information to some spotty customer service HQ out of the US. I still haven’t been able to cancel, as that’s all they will accept. As far as front desk help, it was touch and go. The owner(blonde) is very nice, but I highly suspect some of the kids working behind the desk have avoidant personality disorder.

Your paying $ 10.60 a month! What do you expect? Its a decent place, with decent equipment. They have made some slight improvements in recent months, but really the space is too small for what they really want to accomplish and the mounds of people that pack in there. Off peak hours are always the best, and their hours of operation are really convenient. For the tanaholics, they have a choice between 2 levels of lay down beds(4 total) and a single stand up. The people at the front desk are always pretty friendly. In reality, this gym will fulfill your basic needs, but as I heard my boyfriend complain several times and read in a previous review, their weight room needs some serious improvement. They don’t have the extended variety of weights to really cater to the meathead population around here… Ha! They just created a new classroom, that I have yet to inquire about. Per the previous review, I think that it would probably be nice to have some sort of a dress code, but for all the people that bust their asses all day at work and don’t feel like going home to change they should continue to be able to wear whatever they want. This isn’t a fancy gym that you have to pay $ 40 or more a month for, but it gets the job done.

I dont care if they only have one curl bar in the whole place. It costs me ten bucks a month. and they have TV’s in front of the treadmills & ellipticals. TENDOLLARS. Even in February, thats only 36 cents a day!
