History

Established in 1982.

Music teachers and early childhood educators Eileen Oddo & Christ Patella, fournder s of Musical Munchkins®, began developing their methods of music instruction for very young children in the living room of their Westchester homes. What began as one small music class for two year-​olds, grew into an entire music school for children ages3 months to 5 years old, with over 12 locations and 850 students. Their methods were so captivating to children and parents that they began training and licensing other teachers to bring this highly reputed musical program to other parts of the Hudson Valley as well as surrounding areas. Andrea Soberman, early childhood educator, preschool specialist, and now Director of Musical Munchkins® of Orange County opened the first Musical Munchkins® school in Goshen, NY, in 1993.. Winner of the Hudson Valley Parent award for best childrens music award, classes are now held throughout Orange county.

Business Owner

Andrea Soberman, early childhood educator, preschool specialist, and now Director of Musical Munchkins® of Orange County opened the first Musical Munchkins® school in Goshen, NY, in 1993. Andrea Soberman («Miss Andrea») Graduated from Brooklyn College with a degree in Early Childhood Education with graduate studies in music and art. She taught Pre-​K through 2^nd grade before joining the staff of Musical Munchkins of Westchester (where it all began). Andrea studied voice, guitar and piano in Philadelphia and New York, and has been a children’s entertainer, performer, storyteller and clown. Andrea has given workshops at local early childhood educational conferences throughout Ulster and Orange Counties, and has performed at many libraries, daycares and nursery school programs throughout the Hudson Valley.
