Bay Imaging Consultants

WOW!!! They sent me an invoice to review an MRI report for $ 292. BEST PART IS I NEVER HAD THE MRI!!! I canceled the MRI before it happened!!! I asked these people to show me the report and obviously they couldn’t. Now I have to deal with this mess — they requested I type up a letter of dispute and sign it so they can compare «their notes against the MRI facility». By the way, the MRI facility never charged me a dime because I NEVER had an MRI. I imagine they make their business by charging $ 5 – 10 here and there. With all the red tape most people may not have time to deal with all the hoops they make you go through. This is as fraudulent as it gets. I’m shocked these people are in business. They should reimburse me for my time.

These people send me to collection with out any notices. apparently one of my sons had imaging after birth in Alta Bates, and according to them my insurance was inactive at the time of service and this is why I was sent to collections. But yet I have no unpaid bills from Alta Bates! These people are just trying to take money from people that are not informed about how things work! Do not make business with them!

Received a bill from this company and mailed payment to them. But now, within two weeks of the date they mailed the bill, I’m getting weird automated calls asking me to call about the account. That’s just rude and stupid. I will make every effort to avoid having anything to do with Bay Imaging Consultants in the future.

Similar to other reviews, I had a credit card charge of $ 5.22 billed to «yourac​count​cen​ter​.com» which I did not recognize. When I called VISA they told me it appeared to be for a medical services provider. When I googled «yourac​count​cen​ter​.com», Bay Imaging Consultants came up. So I have a charge from someone I don’t know for services I cannot seem to verify were performed! A very opaque system.

Had some imaging done for a major medical problem. I hadn’t even gotten my bill and was still recovering when Bay Imaging started calling my home EVER DAY for two weeks. I always pay my bills on time and I wasn’t late with this one. What is the deal?!! Horrible customer service, I let my Doctors know and I sent a letter to the hospital as well. If enough people complain maybe they will get their billing problems under control.

Who are these people? I just found out I was sent to collections in March from the place. I have never heard from these people and have not had imaging done at the place. Smells like fraud or trolls doing the billing at the place.

I was at John Muir in Walnut Creek and was released in April. Here it is August and I’m just receiving a bill for $ 14.00. I’ve never heard of them and don’t remember ever being serviced by them. Who are you? Why am I receiving this bill? After reading the other reviews, the must be someone we can turn them into. But who is it? I’ll be checking.

Yes, this is one of those cases where I’d give 0 stars if I could. And the trouble here is that it’s not for the services that they provided but rather the lack of visibility before and during the service but rather for the bill that arrived after. One of the previous reviews suggested that maybe it was a scam so I called the office where we had our son’s x-​rays taken. It turns out that Alta Bates has outsourced the reading of the actual x-​ray to a radiologist group. That group in turn bills separately for their services unbeknownst to the patient. And this is why the single star. When I went into Alta Bates, I did not expect them to send the x-​rays to someone else. But 3 months later, a bill arrives for a grand total of $ 5.76 for services completed 3 months before, and yes it seems to be a scam so I called to confirm. No prior warning, no indication that a bill from a completely unrelated organization would arrive at some future date. Just another medical services provider cutting their own costs by outsourcing to a cheaper alternative which in turn bills my insurance company and then me for the difference. $ 5.76. And sadly, there’s nothing we can do but pay the bill and hope we don’t need x-ray’s any time soon.

The x-​ray services I received from the company were satisfactory. The billing has been a nightmare. I had two bills for identical amount (2 children, same xray) which I paid. Somehow Bay Imagining Consultants credited 1 account instead of 2. I contacted them when I got the bill. I was even willing to pay the bill again and get refunded for my overpayment. After several conversations, they assured me that they would shift the payment to be properly reflected on the correct account. I confirmed that I did not need to pay the bill. It’s been a month, and I just got final notification that my account is overdue and they may refer it to a collection agency. Funny how they haven’t refunded my overpayment on the 1^st account, but I am considered delinquent in paying the 2^nd account? Either give me my money back, or process the payment as promised.
At one point in the process, I received a call from a computer telling me to call them back. I answered the phone to listen to this message. I wasn’t even sure which company was calling me. Really? You can’t have a person call? That call more than anything told me how much this company values my time and business. I can’t imagine calling a customer with an issue and telling them (via a computer generated voice) to call me back and wait on hold to talk to me.

What the hell are you guys doing billing me $ 400+ when YOU CANCELED MY APPOINTMENT last December!?! Fix it!!!

Had X-​rays done in December 2014, my insurance was billed, balance of $ 6.46 was remaining. I received a bill on 2÷16÷15, then a phone call from Bay Imaging Consultants collection department on 2÷19÷15, very rudely asking why I hadn’t payed the $ 6.46 yet! Are you kidding, if I had sent the amount on the day I received the bill they wouldn’t have processed it yet. If I need X-​rays again, I will avoid using Bay Imaging Consultants!

This place is full of incompetent people. I didn’t have insurance at the time I had an emergency. I was ordered a cat scan and Bay Imaging supposedly provided the services. Luckily the hospital gave me assistance in reducing the total cost of my hospital bill (over $ 10k!) but Bay Imaging wouldn’t assist at all. After several phone calls I finally got them to admit they had financial assistance but then they never sent me the application. Instead they sent my account to a collector who I am negotiating with.
This place takes advantage of people. Remember to ask your doctor who provides imaging for scans. If it’s Bay Imaging – don’t get the work done!

Bay Imaging? I saw my regular doctor, paid my bill and got a second bill from Bay Imaging. They can’t prove their services, but want their money. I’m not paying for medical services I did not know was «provided» — especially since NOTHING was provided by Bay Imaging.
Who was the doctor at Bay Imaging? What did he tell me doctor about what he found? She says she never heard from a Bay Imaging doctor. Sounds like fraud to me.
