I love it here! Everything is so beautiful and I feel inspired just by walking in. I had so much fun just enjoying things, but one art piece caught me and I got really emotional. The woman working there didn’t have tissues, but ran to get me toilet paper. If (When) I win the lottery, I will come here… forget Disneyland!

Shopping for birthday presents for two dear people in my life — one for one of my best friends and one for my husband’s goddaughter — I was browsing in downtown WC. I was really just killing time before a morning obligation and not really thinking that I would stumble on the PERFECT presents for both of these ladies. When I find the perfect present, I’m willing to pay more than I’d normally spend on a birthday present. And when I find the perfect present and it’s on sale — sterling silver bracelets that were normally priced at about $ 100 for $ 25 each — even BETTER!
Alas, I discovered that I’d left my wallet behind. I asked for the bracelets to be held, and later that afternoon I came back to pick them up.
I found two perfect gifts at a store that I wasn’t expecting to find anything at all. It reminds me that NOTHING happens by chance; everything has a purpose and a reason.

I’ve only been here once, but have been aching to go back when I have a need for a gift. This store has so much energy it’s fun to even window shop here, too. They have lots of great gifts for friends and family, but also offer a fun home décor selection. Personally, it’s not my style, but I appreciate all of the colors and vibrancy. I should also say that the customer service is lovely here — the women working while I was shopping were pleasant and fun to chat with. I hope to shop here again soon so I can update this with more details.

This is a fabulous store and a great place to go for a unique and beautifully wrapped gift.
The salespeople are all very helpful, will greet you with a smile, and point you the right direction. I usually go in with an idea of what I’d like to spend and that helps narrow down the otherwise overwhelming number of gift possibilities.
Yes, many things in this store are pricey but that’s the cost for unique, hand made, items. Everything they carry is a piece of art.

A wonderful store. With an array of gifts, home décor, and colorful knick knacks, Calypso Twist has something for everyone. To experience the energy and color in the store is worth a visit in itself. As soon as you walk in the store you cannot help but be mesmerized by the color and beautiful aesthetics. The staff is helpful, knowledgeable, and kind. I tell my friends it’s a playground… for adults.

Do not miss this store. This is the most amazing collection of original art. for the home. You will find so many fun items that you can’t live without. Lots of color, and must haves for your home. This store is truly a one of a kind gem and I’ve yet to find another store or gallery like it.
I live in LA and save all my gift shopping and home purchases for my trips to Calypso Twist in the Bay Area. The colorful, well laid out atmosphere makes me smile as I walk in. On top of that, the employees are so friendly, knowledgeable, and have so much passion for the art filled products that every single time I walk out of there finding so many pieces I love and buy.
The prices are very reasonable for the great, unique gift items and also for the gorgeous, valuable, one of a kind art pieces I fill my home with. For weddings, holidays, new babies, children’s’ birthdays, pet presents, you name it, they have the perfect gift that will have the whole party talking and asking where on earth it was found. I personally have had so many compliments on gifts, it’s one of the only place I go to now.
If you have any desire to check out a very unique store and fall in love with everything in it, this is a must visit place. In fact, I’ll go as far as guaranteeing that once you experience the extraordinary happiness everything about this store gives you, like me, you’ll definitely be there very often!

I travel a lot and I am always looking for stores that have unique gifts — and this is one of my favorite new stores! First of all, the items in the store are fabulous — they have something for everyone — and at many different price levels. One of the best things is the staff — because I don’t live in California and get to this store only a few times a year — I call them when I need something. They are so helpful — I always feel like I am ordering the perfect gift. They wrap and send — making things very easy for me. I have received wonderful thank you notes from my friends and family who have received gifts from this store. Thanks to the staff and the buyers — you have done a great job. I can’t wait to visit the store again — but until then I know that I can call them and trust their judgment.

I was so enchanted and dazzled as I walked in! All the beautiful colors, fabulous furniture, art, and other decorative household décor. So eclectic, one of a kind type stuff that would make anyone entering your home say «Wow! WHERE did you get that?! It’s fabulous!!»
But alas as I kept walking and walking around the store I became more and more disenchanted as each price tag I looked at was so expensive. Those things that I possibly could afford were small things that seemed as if they belonged to a larger art piece, or were just small trinkety things that I was not interested in buying.
My one plea to the owners — PLEASE keep your prices in some sort of affordable range for us common folk who have an appreciation for unique, beautiful décor but don’t have 6 figure salaries.

This is my favorite store in downtown Walnut Creek. It’s impossible to be in a bad mood in this store. It’s filled with the most positive, colorful, creative, artistic items imaginable. Some items are very expensive, but I can always find some little trinket, wall hanging, or jewelry that’s not terribly expensive. The salespeople are helpful and go out of their way to do a nice job wrapping the items, especially if it’s a gift. If I had a lot of money, I would definitely spend it at this place.

I absolutely adore this store. They always have new things coming in and their gift wrapping skills and numerous types of fabric to do it with are wonderful.
They have many interesting expensive large items but they also have many small inexpensive items that are quite fun too. I always find something weird and cool to send to one of my friends and their 60% off table is very worthwhile.
Their help is wonderful, nice, funny and quick to greet you when you walk in. There’s also free bottles of water and they usually slip a small package of candy into your purchase bag.
It’s one of my favorite stores for gifts, stuff for yourself and just looking at different artistic things that will make you smile.
