Coco Swirl

Had an order of the Tart (~$ 3): Tart frozen yogurt w/​fruit (strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, etc.). Food was delicious, staff was all but non-​existant, and the ambiance was fleeting (as the shop is now closed).

Been coming to Coco Swirl since they opened their original storefront in Pleasant Hill. This branch located in the prime location of downtown Walnut Creek is a lot bigger and offers more flavors. They’ve since expanded their menu but I can only speak on behalf of the frozen yogurt, which is delicious! Every flavor tastes like what it’s supposed to be, not something that «sort of» tastes like it, and the texture is nice and creamy — two things that I find other froyo places lack. When I want something refreshing, I go for one of the tart fruit flavors topped with a scoop of their fresh, homemade mochi. For something more decadent, they have flavors like cheesecake, chocolate & caramel — flavors that are normally in something like a dense ice cream — that taste rich without being heavy. Owner is also super nice and remembers us whenever we visit. Five stars all the way!

I love frozen yoghurt, I love it even more with M&Ms and Gummi Bears. They have a good selection of flavors and more tart flavors than others.
In terms of taste, the flavors are good, that tarts are the right amount of tart. Good place to stop in post or pre-​movie… or really just any time.

I love this place for yogurt and boba. They have a good selection of flavored and toppings. The same guy is always there working and he’s very friendly. My only complaint is that it’s always so hot in there. I swear they either do not have a/​c or don’t care. I’ve been in on many days when it’s over 90 degrees and it’s hotter inside the store than outside! Which makes me never want to stay in there. Maybe they do that on purpose so no one hangs out I don’t know. But it’s awful I feel horrible for the employees sweating in there for their whole shift they look so uncomfortable and miserable. Also, it’s so hot the yogurt melts literally as it’s coming out of the machine! Please turn on your a/​c it’s like slave labor over there this is California it’s hot!!!

They have the usual assortment of yogurt and toppings, but the real prize awaits those who skip the soft serve machines and head straight to the register. «Doughcream please» you’ll ask as you pick out which type of donut you’ll pair, rather straddle, your scoop of ice cream with. I can’t believe I’d never had this before…

Thia Tea is on point but I literally ate one sprinkle and got yelled at and had terrible serivce after that. Girl who works there was super rude. Like it was 1 sprinkle

The consistency of this yogurt is my favorite. They have both the creamy, overly sweet flavors, as well as the refreshing, tart yogurts, too. I also like that this place is always trying to stay «trendy» with their donut sandwiches (Cream-​style cookie sandwiches were their predecessor) and boba teas. Coco Swirl is always a good idea!

The guy that runs this place was super knowledgeable about boba. I felt like I was in a seminar, learning about fresh boba vs. powdered boba (which other places use). I like the transparency in how Coco Swirl makes it’s boba, drinks, and yogurt.
The owner was able to adjust my drink to my tastes. Also, the boba was firm, but still squishy. Best boba I’ve had in Walnut Creek.

They have frozen yogurt including tart flavors, ice cream, doughnuts ice cream sandwiches, and boba. It was a lot for a dessert place in Downtown Walnut Creek. I did not expect to find a place like this. Maybe it’s trying to be a hangout place for kids/​teenagers after school? There seems to even be a contest of getting the most yogurt in one cup and then finishing it… i wasn’t sure what the prize was. It seemed very interesting…
I ordered a milk tea with normal boba because that’s what I thought this place was when I saw the sign on the sidewalk. I was like hey, I can do with a cup of boba while I walk around. Then I walk in the store and I did a double take to make sure I walked into the correct store. The boba wasn’t sweet and it was gummy with no flavor. I liked the tea. It wasn’t too sweet and had the bitterness of strong tea. It wasn’t flavorful, but just a slight bit bitter.

This place is tasty! The yogurt is fresh, clean, and yummy with lots of flavors to choose from. I love the fresh fruits, which they ordinarily have a good selection of although once or twice they were fruit selection challenged. Can’t go wrong, and it’s a nice place to stop into if you’re downtown.

Perfect for post-​movie theatre dessert. Loved the huge variety of flavors they offer. I think there was 20 different flavors, which is awesome because nobody wants to get the same thing every time. There are so many combination options, it’s actually exciting me just to think about. Usually, when a place offers this many flavors, they slack a little on the topping variety, however Coco Swirl provides a great variety of toppings as well.
Only issue I have is that they get a little hussy if you sample «too many» flavors, which I think is ridiculous. If you offer that many flavors, you should expect people to want to sample a lot of them, that’s just how it goes. The somewhat unfriendly service was nothing more than annoying though, and I would recommend Coco Swirl over Yogurtland as the frozen yogurt place to go in Walnut Creek.

It was my first time at coco swirl, I would always pass it and say «I have to come try this boba place» I ordered a passion fruit green tea (normally I don’t order green tea but i just decided to get it today) and a almond milk tea… as I walked out I tasted both drinks and they were PERFperfect sweetness, perfect amount of boba in both drinks, and not too much ice… I will most definitely come back again!!!

Came here for a quick shopping break to get a drink and donut. The pearl milk tea was tasty but the boba (pearls) were on the chewy side, I would have preferred them to be a little softer. The doughnut ice cream sandwich is a cool idea! At first I wanted a plain glazed doughnut but when I saw the ice cream sandwich advertisement I couldn’t resist, and I’m glad I did it because it was really yummy. Why didn’t I think of this idea? ;) Cool café and a nice place to take a break before continuing to shop till you drop.

My go-​to place to satisfy my boba cravings. Coconut milk tea with extra boba is the way to go. They are quick, friendly, and the place is clean. Not a huge boba menu, but it’s a yogurt shop so can’t expect too much.

Major props for a clean, open environment and some really upbeat jams that put you in a good mood!
My cousins and I only ordered boba and not the frozen yogurt (will have to try that next time). I had the mango milk tea with boba, which is my go-​to choice. The boba was excellent, but the mango milk tea taste was average. Fantasia is always my point of reference and I still think they make the best mango milk tea. I also had a glazed donut which was delicious for a non-​Krispy Kreme glazed donut.
I’d keep this place in a mind if I’m back in downtown with a big group and we want to sit down, relax and have some sweet treats.

Located in the heard of Downtown Walnut Creek, Coco Swirl is I think the only place that serves boba drinks in the Dub C.
I stopped by the other day and picked up a coffee milk tea boba (~ $ 3.75). The taste was okay, but certainly cannot compare to the boba giants of the Bay Area. I will only go there if I really crave boba but don’t want to drive far to get one.
The interesting thing about Coco Swirl is that apparently they have a contest for customers to see who can pile the most frozen yogurt into a regular size bowl. The current record is 12lbs (yes, 12lbs!!), held by four young girls. Seriously, parents would allow their kids to devour 3lbs of frozen yogurt in one sitting? No wonder healthcare premiums are so expensive now…

The closest thing I can get to my beloved T-​pumps without the wait and drive. Their boba isn’t bad at all. I haven’t tried their milk tea, but I like their green teas. I order their lychee green tea light sweet and it’s light and refreshing. I like that they use actual green tea that you can taste instead of the powder that places like Quickly’s serves. I used to just walk past this place until my brother said that it was actually good.
I’ve never tried their froyo and usually go to Yogurtland since it’s also in the area, but maybe one day.

I came in here with a friend on a weeknight. The place was more or less empty, but I would attribute that to the cold weather and how late it was.
There are many many yogurt options available, but I decided on the classic nonfat and sugar free vanilla fro yo. There are also a ton of topping options to choose from and I committed to simple chocolate sprinkles. The total for my yummy treat was less than $ 2. The overall quality of my frozen yogurt was good, about the same as I’ve had at any other fro yo place.
The store was large, clean and modern. I enjoyed the atmosphere very much. While I paid in cash, I noticed that there is a charge for using your credit/​debit card if the amount is less than $ 10. I am not a fan of that.

Amidst the limitless self-​serve fro-​yo options in Walnut Creek Coco Swirl will always stand out as my favorite. The owners really struck gold by getting that location next to the movie theater-​and he’s just the nicest guy ever (we see him regularly and he’s always friendly and comes over to chat with my boyfriend and I.)
I love the texture and flavor of their yogurt the best. The wide variety they offer of sweet, tart, and everything in between can’t be beat. Clean counters and toppings bar, frequent buyer card and funky green tile with space aged tables & seats. What’s NOT to love about Coco Swirl.
