Cousins Locksmiths and Engraving has been serving the Walnut Creek-​East Bay Area since 1976. In addition to being professional licensed locksmiths we have a store front conveniently located between Starbucks and Noah’s Bagels in the Countrywood Shopping Center. Our services include but not limited to Key Cutting, Watch Battery Replacement/​Small Fixes, Knife Sharpening and Engraving Services. We are open 7 days a week and no job is too small. My wife and I have a combined total of 40 years of customer service-​local business experience. I work in the shop 7 days a week and David, my trusted locksmith for 20 years, runs all of the service calls out of the truck. My wife, Kathy, works behind the scenes on most of the engraving but can be seen at the shop from time to time. We look forward in serving the Walnut Creek/​East Bay communities for another 40 years.

I brought all of my kitchen knives here, ones that could barely cut through butter, and to say that I am pleased with the results would just be an understatement. The night I brought my knives home, I gave a few of them a test run, and I couldn’t believe how effortless it was to cut! Raw chicken cut like butter, and tomato slices actually looked like they do in commercials (clean-​cut). In addition to the quality work, the customer service was top-​of-​the-​line, as well. I will definitely be returning to do business here, no hesitations.

Great service with a smile! I needed a couple of keys made and a new battery for my car key fob. I dropped in on my way to Safeway and had a great experience, my keys work great too! I’ll stop by next time I go shopping and drop off my knives to get sharpened. I like to support local businesses as well.

Dropped by on a Saturday afternoon to have my wrist watch adjusted. He checked it out and fixed it right then and there. Quick, professional service. Took less than 5 minutes, and total came to $ 8. Credit cards are accepted. Would highly recommend.

I needed my locks changed at my home and Keith was able to come out very quickly. Keith is very knowledgeable about locks and made several recommendations, which I greatly appreciated.
I’ve been to their location in the Countrywood Shopping Center many times to have a key copied. I’ve had my sunglasses repaired many times. They always are able to fix them.
They are very detail oriented and their prices are very reasonable.

The old guy was SOOOO DAMN RUDE. Just SMFH.
Brought a garage opener to him for batteries, asked him a simple ass question he replied in such a rude and almost racist way. I shot him a look and said «take your batteries out of it an give it back to me». I used to always tell ppl to come to this little shack bc I did have a decent experience with other ppl in the past. Oh well, I’ll just refer them elsewhere.

I’ve lived in the Walnut Creek and Concord area for at least a decade, and I’ve gone to Cousin’s Locksmiths to get keys duplicated every time I needed to have it done. They’re always polite, quick, and reasonably priced.
Once, I had them replace the battery on my Nike digital wrist watch, and still found them to be polite, quick, and reasonably priced. :)
As long as I’m in the area, I’ll continue going to them. Besides, Starbucks is right next to it, so I can always grab a drink afterwards!

Had two silver pieces engraved here (a bracelet and a vintage pocket watch) and couldn’t be more pleased with the results!!! Both came out perfectly and the turn-​around time was only a day. I was a bit apprehensive because most other reviews were about watch-​cutting, but the engraving work here is absolutely top notch :)

I have been getting keys made here since forever! They are always reliable, quick and not to pricey. All of their keys hold of really well and I continue to back here for the convenience of it all.
They are located in a cute shopping area with a BofA kiosk, Noahs, CVS, Safeway, Starbucks, Jamba Juice and more.
I will continue to get all of my keys made here!

I have been coming to Cousin’s for many years now. Keith and David and very knowledgeable and professional. They offer so many services: lockout, re-​key, house/​car keys, picking locks, licenses plate frames, engraving, glass engraving, pet tags, watch batteries and bands, plaques, name plates, trophies, and office signs. Most everything can be done the same day you bring it the item in, or while you wait (awesome).
Don’t bother going to ACE or Home Depot for keys. Go to a real locksmith. I highly recommend them to everyone.
