History
Established in 2008.
In 2002, my first year as Director of Operations for a local small business, the company tripled its sales. At the time I was in charge of not only operations but also marketing and accounting. I enjoyed all of it, especially the success, but I really looked forward to keeping up and reviewing the books; making sure they were completely accurate, looking in to the bottom line, honing in on what could be improved from a financial standpoint. When I started talking about moving on and opening up my own accounting business, the company’s CPA openly asked me not to leave because he liked my work so much!
Simply put, it’s gratifying for me, on a professional level, to help small, independent businesses stay viable and thrive when I’ve tried to support them as a customer for so long.

A USC graduate and former owner of several small businesses of her own, Hillary was made aware of her bookkeeping abilities in 2003 by a CPA who loved her work. Back then bookkeeping was simply part of her job as Director of Operations for a local small business. Not only did that CPA appreciate the clean, concise books but also her business savvy and the sound advice she gave her employer.
It only made sense, then, for her to become certified as a Professional Bookkeeper/QuickBooks Specialist and open Diablo Hills Bookkeeping.
Diablo Hills Bookkeeping became Diablo Hills Accounting when clients, consultants, and many of the CPAs with whom she works suggested repeatedly that her work and skills far surpassed that of other bookkeepers.
