When I walked into Flares, I instantly knew that I had come to the right place to find my prom dress. First off, it only took a glance to know that all of the dresses here are good quality and well made. Secondly, I was only in the store a minute when a very kind and attentive worker named Hannah offered me assistance and started helping me pick out what dresses I’d like to try on. It didn’t take long for a dressing room to open up and I was enamored with the very first dress I tried on. Overall great quality of the dresses and wonderful customer service. The only complaint I have is the owner was a bit cold, but she didn’t help me or bother me much, and in the end she was also very efficient and helpful.

Great selection of prom dresses. Staff is super helpful and available. Highly recommend that you check here first for prom dresses. Will be back next year for senior ball!

LISA HAS HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE
My daughter has been dying to go to Flares, and I finally gave in and took her. As she was trying on dresses my daughter noted to Lisa that she is a Freshman at Las Lomas. At the end of the shopping my daughter was clearly upset but didn’t tell me why until we got in the car.
Lisa was berating her in the changing room because my daughter was not going to buy a dress at that moment! She exclaimed how she was ‘WASTING HER TIME’ and that ‘all the LAS LOMAS girls come in and try the dresses on, and then order on-​line.’ She further accused my daughter of doing this and ‘NOT SUPPORTING HER BUSINESS’! This continued each time she went back to the dressing room but out front with me present — Lisa was so complimentary on how BEAUTIFUL she looked in each dress…
My daughter went home crying from how poorly she was treated. My daughter insisted that I do not go back and let Lisa know how damaging she was to a customer.
She took a great father-​daughter moment and utterly ruined it, and and left us hurt, angry and insulted.

What can I say but A+ experience!
I had called and made a few appointments to accommodate my future mother in law being in town for the holidays and Flares was the most professional and responsive. I got a call from the owner and she was so warm and mind you the ONLY one to even ask me my budget ahead of time. After talking with her I told everyone that I hope I liked their dresses because I really like them as people.
I had a really bad experience with Emerald City Gowns cancelling on me at 5pm the day before the holiday and there was no apology and I feared that I would not find a dress.
Now jump ahead to the dress fitting at Flares. I was VERY apprehensive since I’d gone to David’s and ordered a few options on Anthropology’s website and I felt heavy and very unhappy in those dresses. I thought maybe that I’d just have to get used to wedding dresses making me feel larger. I met with Angela and she made my experience amazing. She not only picked dresses in my budget but she made me feel beautiful and boosted my confidence. I LOVED many of the dresses, they are elegant and gorgeous with tons of style options for anyone. I had an amazing experience trying on dresses and ultimately bought my dress with a wonderful deal buying the sample dress which helped me come in way under budget.
I’d recommend going when they open, maybe because it was after a holiday and not as busy but it felt like we had the place to ourselves for an hour and made it feel VIP.

This place is AMAZING! From the minute I walked in Angela was so incredible being so patient and great while I tried on so many dresses and finally said yes to the dress. My dress came in earlier than expected and was just what I dreamed of. I also had all my bridesmaids buy their dresses at Flares and Ray was fantastic helping us on a few different visits find just the right dresses and colors. Giving great advice. Everyone was always so helpful and nice everytime I came in no matter how many questions or changes I made. An amazing store with great customer service and prices with great people. Defiantly should make it a must on your list of places to look for dresses. My experience has been perfect.

When it comes to formal dresses, they are amazing. They always have the cutest styles and their customer service is awesome. The girls and owners are very helpful and kind as well. I have gotten my junior prom dress and senior ball dress here and couldn’t be happier. They even do alterations. Best place to get a prom/​ball dress :)

Came here with my sister, mother and 2 aunts, looking for my sisters wedding dress. From the moment we walked in, we were quickly ushered to the couches to sit and my sister was immediately taken to look at dresses. My sister had pretty specific ideas of what she wanted (short, tulle, sleeves) our consultant hit it on the nail/​my sister found a pretty short twirly dress but also found several others she loved as well. In the end, she ended up with a long dress which looks absolutely beautiful on her and completely flatters her figure. Our consultant knew exactly what to get, is working on my sisters shortened time frame to get her dress here in time. So glad we came here, they were very professional and helpful. Highly recommend them!

People, please be warned. Do not go to Flares for your wedding needs. They’ll take your money and their concern for you or your wedding ends right then and there!
In June 2015, my cousins and I were fitted for bridesmaids dresses for an early January 2016 wedding. The staff at Flares was wonderful at this point, especially Lissa. We selected the style, paid close to $ 300 each and Flares promised to deliver the dresses in October 2015 so we would have enough time for alterations and final fitting. In October 2015, Flares contacted us and said that the dresses had arrived from their supplier in China. When we picked up the dresses, they were the WRONG style! We immediately went back to Flares and asked them to return the wrong dresses to China and get us the correct style. Flares agreed and promised to have the supplier make a new set of the correct style and expedite them back to Walnut Creek. Flares also promised to have the new set arrive on the second week of November. Around the second week of November, we contacted Flares about the dresses and we were told that they had not arrived yet and to check again the following week. On the third week of Nov, we contacted them again and were told the dresses still had not arrived. This time the person at Flares was very, very agitated by our phone call (mind you, this was their own fault for ordering the wrong style and they had the nerve to be so rude!). We explained to them that the wedding date was fast approaching and with Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays in full swing, we may not be able to get the alterations done in time for the wedding. Flares assured us that the dresses would arrive soon and that they would take care of alterations free of charge. We made follow-​up calls every week after that and Flares was consistently rude and dismissive towards us. It was not until the third week of December that the dresses would arrive. When we picked up the dresses, Flares did NOT deliver on their promise of free alterations. Needless to say, since all the dresses were ill-​fitting, Flares left us to scramble around helplessly for a place that would do last minute alterations. With the wedding day so close, Flares caused the bride and bridesmaids so much grief and stress (during the holidays, no less), which could have been avoided had they gotten our order right in the first place. We will never go back to Flares and hope to convince others to stay away from Flares, as well.

Horrible customer service. I’m in search for my wedding dress veil and i wanted to look around at other bridal boutiques to see different options. I’ve called 3 times here and spoke to Lisa. First thing she asks me if i’m a bride with them, i explained to her that i already had purchased my dress at another location and i just wanted to come in and see veils and as soon i told her that she said that they are really busy. I even asked her if i can just drop in to see them. She said NO! I’ll be shopping for my bridesmaids dresses soon and won’t be coming here.

What an amazing experience and time we had here for my best friends wedding dress shopping. We booked an appointment at 11:30 on a Sunday. So many options in so many different styles. My bff found her dress that same day. It is the most stunning dress I have ever seen!!! We worked with Ray and she was wonderful accommodating and an absolute sweet heart! Thanks ray for the amazing experience and for taking the time to show us all the dresses!!! Highly recommend this place!!!

This place has a lot of great dresses. I only had one month to shop for a wedding dress and the one I really liked was going to arrive a week before my wedding. I was very anxious about it, but the owner assured me that it will be altered in time for my big day. After all I had to get the alterations done twice and if was still done in time. I would definitely recommend this place.

Knowing how indecisive I can be, I’ve been dreading the process of wedding dress shopping. When the time came for me to start looking for dresses, it was everything I predicted it to be… stressful! I went to SEVERAL shops and every time I left a shop, I felt even more overwhelmed and confused. Some dress consultants have been too pushy, impatient, and downright unknowledgeable about material and fits of their own dresses.
I came across Flare’s Unilocal page one day while shopping with my mom and decided to stop by. When I called, Lisa answered and had such a warm and welcoming tone. I knew I had to give this shop a shot. Even though I didn’t have an appointment and the shop was busy with determined brides, Lisa made me feel extremely cared for and gave me the same attention as the other brides who actually had appointments.
Since my intention was just to «stop by» I didn’t have much time to try on a lot of dresses so I left the store empty handed. A few days later, Lisa texted and followed up with me just to let me know how much she wanted to help me find my DREAM DRESS. She said that even if she may not have the dress at her store, she can do her best to order it. I mean really, about PERSONAL CUSTOMER SERVICE. I came back the second time (this time with an appointment) and Lisa’s sister Ray really helped me narrow down the style dress I loved and helped me figure out what would look best on my body. She even stayed a little past the store hours just to make sure I was confident in my decision. The personal time I had trying on dresses is exactly what this indecisive bride needed!
Since the first time I stepped foot in the store, I knew that no matter, I wanted to buy my dress from Lisa for one simple fact… she truly cares about each bride and is passionate about what she does. To me, that gives me all the confidence in the world when it comes to dress shopping. If there are any brides out there who felt like I felt, do yourself a favor and skip the dress shop hopping and go straight to Flares!

I came here twice with an appointment and both times the owner and staff were so nice to me. The first time I came with both my sisters and we were so annoying trying on everything and bickering. We did do a collective sigh with the last dress but by then I was so confused I couldn’t make a decision. After not being able to get this last dress out of my mind I came back and tried it on again. Still looked amazing on me. My dress was within my budget and I looked great on my wedding day. Thank you Lisa.

Lissa and Ray are the sweetest ever. I ordered my dress with them at their old location in Broadway Plaza. Their new location is beautiful. They are so personable and really care about their customers. They don’t pressure you into buying anything and they allow you to take pictures. Highly recommended

I am a customer for life!!! I was a flares bride 3 years ago and will continue to come back for Lisa and Rays phenomenal dress expertise! They know everything about dresses –what looks good for what body type, how the material should lay and so much more. They are SO reliable. If they tell you that they will do something, they will absolutely follow through! They are the definition of fantastic customer service. They will treat you like family and are genuinely wonderful ladies. I love Flares and refer everyone I know to them!

Flares is one of those rare business – especially in the bridal industry. They care about their customers and do everything they can to ensure your wedding dress turns out perfect. I took my dress to Flare’s for alterations because I felt comfortable using their team because my dress shopping experience was so amazing. While there were a few hiccups in the alterations process, everything turned out wonderful. They worked hard on my dress and it was ready to go just days before my wedding. I knew Lissa, the shop owner, wouldn’t let me leave the store without looking fantastic and feeling comfortable in my dress.

I bought my wedding dress and a white party dress at Flares, and I had the best experience I could have had. The ladies were extremely welcoming, helpful, and they listened. The first dress that I was shown ended up being the one I chose for my wedding. It was within my price range, and exactly what I was looking for. I only tried on more dresses because I was skeptical of how easy I found it!
Great selection of different kinds of dresses. If you want to save money, you can order a prom or bridesmaids dress in white! I ended up buying a great white party dress for $ 100. It was a sample, and they dry cleaned it for me and sewed a missing button on.

I had the most amazing experiences at Flares Bridal!!! I went in to look for a formal gown for a wedding I was attending. All I knew was that I needed something long and elegant, and Ray took one look at me and handed me the most amazing dress! I tried it on and immediately fell in love and didn’t need to try on anything else!
Once my dress came in a week later, I went in and the seamstress Bae did the alterations. She is AMAZING!!! She was so kind and helpful and truly did a wonderful job on my dress… it fit me like a glove!!! Since then, I have taken all of my formal gowns to her to alter. I won’t let anyone else alter my clothes anymore because Bae is truly the best!!! She knows what looks good and does a great job!
The entire staff at Flares is amazing! They are all so helpful and accommodating. From the minute you walk in and until the very end, they are attentive and really take care of you. Customer service is perfect, the selection of dresses is exceptional and the overall experience is outstanding!!!
