Greater Bay Appraisal

I found Jacob Kipp of Greater Bay Appraisal on Unilocal with positive reviews and decided he was the choice for our appraisal in Concord. I contacted Jacob via phone and set an appointment. He showed up on time and explained he would tour the house, measure the rooms, and take photos. He advised us of what would be required of lenders during an inspection of the property. He was very professional and friendly and extremely helpful. He stated an appraisal report would be forthcoming in a couple days and sure enough we got it via email. The report was very detailed and easy to understand. He did state that if we had any questions to call or email him and he would get back to us expediently. FANTASTIC service!

So I needed an appraisal & I checked Unilocal and found great reviews of Greater Bay Appraisal. Called the number scheduled an appointment with Jacob. He showed 5min early & as everyone has stated on Unilocal VERY FRIENDLY & PROFESSIONAL. I went back to do my own things and he was done in a reasonable amount of time. This guy is good, he took the time to teach me how to read the appraisal report. Thanks for your services! Hopefully I’ll be calling you again shortly.

I needed an appraisal done for my grandmother’s summer home after she passed away. Being from LA, I took to Unilocal to find a certified appraiser in the Discovery Bay area. I found Greater Bay Appraisal & the wonderful reviews. I contacted Jacob Kipp via email, and we were able to arrange all of the details for the appraisal.
He showed up on time, and was friendly and professional. He came in, took pictures & measurements, and was able to inspect the property quickly and efficiently. And he was able to get the appraisal back to me in a matter of days. Everything was done electronically, so it’s easy for me to be able to send it to my attorney and my family. Fingers crossed that appraisers in LA do the same thing!
I highly recommend Greater Bay Appraisal. If I had more properties in Northern California, I would be happy to use Greater Bay Appraisal again.

I had been procrastinating with getting an appraisal to try and lower my property taxes. I was both overwhelmed by the sheer number of appraisers out there, and discouraged by my past experiences with appraisers (appraisal reports taking weeks to show up… appraisers eerily lurking around my house… horrible punctuality… promising me one value only to have the report in stark contrast to that value… etc)
So I was a little skeptical when Greater Bay Appraisal was refereed by a close friend of mine who promised they were the absolute best in the area and that I would have a great experience with them.
But low and behold! They were EXACTLY right! First off… I didn’t get a huge time span of arrival time no «I’ll be there between 12pm & whenever i feel like it o’clock «he told me exactly what time he would be there. In fact he was on time and I was late! I thought for SURE he would be as late as everyone else especially with giving me an exact time for when he would show up. But he showed up 15mins early and actually waited for me when I told him I was 10mins away. When I got there he was very nice — by that I mean he didn’t rub it in my face that he sat there waiting for me for 10 mins lol.
Once he was in I was absolutely amazed with how fast he was in and out of the house. 3 minutes — Tops. He was done before I could offer him a drink. Very professional, even stayed and waited patiently answering all my questions with much more insight than I get even from Realtors that I’ve talked to in the past.
As if I wasn’t already throughly impressed. .. Typical appraisals usually take about a week (at least) to come in. I’ve heard myths of next day service. This guy got it back LATER ON THE SAME DAY!
Amazing service ~ Very punctual ~ Extremely knowledgeable & professional. I gave him 5 stars because I couldn’t give him 10! Let it be known that Greater Bay Appraisal is YES! The very best you can get in the area! Hire them because you will NOT be disappointed!
