Timely communication is key when working with a CPA and Joel excelled in helping me when I was facing a large tax bill. A couple of months ago I got the dreaded mail that no one ever wants to see: It was an envelope from the Internal Revenue Service, they wanted to schedule an appointment to review more documentation. Naturally I freaked and was worrying incessantly over it. Fortunately I knew Joel and was able to ask for his advice. He is approachable and has extensive experience dealing with tax issues. He reviewed the paperwork and gave me expert advice on what the IRS was looking for and tips on how to handle them. If you’re EVER in this predicament, it sure is comforting to know and have someone like Joel by your side.

Joel is well qualified in real estate tax issues, small business and coporate tax issues. He’s no joke when it comes to being the nerdy tax guy that knows everything. Has a Masters in Taxation, CPA, CMA you name it. if you want good quality trust worthy advice then Joel is the man. i’ve known him for 12 years and i have been a client for 5 of those years since he has gone to private practice. I would refer my friends and family to him. he’s also flexible and considerate of your time. But the best thing about having him as your accountant is to have him point out things for you when you not aware of them yourself. He will look out for new tax breaks/​credits you may have missed.

Joel has done my taxes from 2009−−2014, and I am super impressed with his knowledge and ability to guide me through the process on what is in my interest as a small business owner and as an individual with a kid. Nothing I throw at him is a big deal. He’s super easy to work with, and is always quick to respond via phone and email.
