The most positive thing about retaining Mr Wolch is he knows how to navigate through the family court system with more ease than most attorneys. He is well respected by the judges and that helps your case a lot. However, he is out there to make money, and will have his assistants redo a few docs unnecessarily to drive up your bill. One can tell he knows he is working within the confines of a very broken family court system. He achieved the best possible outcome for my situation although everyone knew it was unjust. Because of that, he let me pay off the balance that I owed him over time, with very little interest, and without involving collection agencies. I think that speaks very highly of his moral compass.

This team was the best legal representation experience I have had through a 5+ year divorce process involving young children. (Filed ¹⁄₂₀₁₀ and just «finalized»…) Of the 5 law offices directly involved in the case (I had 3 and the ex had 2) this office was the best.
After wasting the first 3.5 years of the divorce process with 2 other attorneys and an early stint of pro per (dumb) I identified I needed a change… At that point my case was so complicated and compromised that most attorneys I contacted would not consider taking my case. After interviewing the few offices that would agree to meet with me, Joe Wolch seemed to be the right choice… and I was not disappointed.
My case was a complete mess. Child visitation was still not reasonable, income was be imputed at an impossible rate, arrears were accruing, my professional license was being threatened, accounts were being levied, etc, etc. All the worst divorce stories I’ve heard about combined into one…
Every other attorney/​legal team I encountered seemed to be interested in cashing in on a contentious divorce… They were not efficient (talked slowly), they complicated the simple, they did not pay attention to the details, and they did not Beeline it for the resolution of the issues… Joe Wolch and team were very different.

The staff of the Law Offices of Joseph H Wolch are a great group of professionals working in the best interest of their client (s). They are responsive to our calls, e-​mails, general questions and provide us with options and potential outcomes of the process and situation being reviewed by the courts. They are genuinely concerned and empathetic to the difficulties a client or family members may be undergoing. We are very happy to have them representing us. We are most thankful.

at our initial meeting we come up with two goals to accomplish. 1. a statement to be written and filed which I provide all ready just needed the legal language. 2. go after assets for back support owed.
I was assured this would be easily done. three months later and half of my retainer gone not even the letter prepared and filed. and when I questioned invoices they lied about legal obligation and charge me for that to. they will milk you out of your money and not provide any services except lip service. don’t be fooled they don’t care about anything but getting your money.

Joe was so straight forward with all of his advice/​guidance. He was correct about how things would go throughout the process. He knew the judges tendencies and anticipated her decisions in advance. He anticipated opposing counsel’s maneuvers and how to trump them.
Overall, Joe is an excellent attorney in a profession where others represent their fee first and foremost. God forbid I have to go back to Family court but if I do Joe with be representing me.

DO NOT RETAIN THIS FIRM! I would give them ZERO stars but the minimum is one to post. Here is my experience: They are sloppy! They missed addressing critical emails, did not file statements in a timely manner, did not communicate critical court dates to me on two occasions (one w one day notice, another w less than a week notice), changed numbers on statements without notifying me, paraphrased my words unnecessarily to the point of misstatement, did not take responsibility for their slip ups, did not return opposing counsel phone calls timely (ex would call me to complain!), and they are hugely overpriced. They just sat on things till it reaches critical point then demanded I drop everything in life to deal w the crisis. I had to take time off from work at the worst possible time because of their lack of planning appropriate timelines. In the end, I was left totally unprepared for a critical court date, which gave my ex the upper hand in negotiations. The 2 lawyers I dealt with really hurt my case. I should sue!
