Sarah did the makeup for my bridesmaids and I for my recent wedding, and we were so impressed with her work! She was a ton of fun and really got everyone’s energy up, and she’s got great taste in music. I usually don’t wear makeup so I was concerned about looking too overdone or not like myself, but she did a fantastic job highlighting my favorite features, and I felt so beautiful.

Sarah is AMAZING with make up!!! Sarah did my make up for my bachlorette party out in the city. It looked amazing, I got compliments all night. She is sweet, professional, and makes you feel beautiful. Use her for your make up needs!

Book Sarah if you need to have your makeup professionally done. She is truly a tremendously skilled artist. I first met Sarah at a friend’s wedding when I was a bridesmaid and was blown away by her skillfully designed makeup. She knows how to create the look you want, but will do so in a way that is really the best possible design, color, finish, etc. I have worked with her 3 times now, the last was my own wedding in August, and I can say she has been a total winner, sweetheart and professional each time. I will work with her again any chance I can!

I had the pleasure of sitting in Sarah’s make up chair (she travels with her own) for my dear friend’s wedding. As a bridesmaid, our bride let us pick our own hairstyle and make up and treated us to makeup and hair styling services by the glam squad duo of Sarah and Jaime. Sarah is a preferred vendor for the Claremont. She was right on time with all her equipment. I was the first one in the chair. She asked me what my normal make up routine was, and then discussed what type of look we wanted. Once she could tell I was pretty comfortable with make up she worked her magic. She did a wonderful full coverage foundation which felt and looked really natural. The color matched perfectly and did not feel at all cakey. I wanted a neutral eye with winged liner and lashes. She really took her time to ensure my face was contoured. My first thought (before the mirror peek) was omigosh I am going to look too made up… but when she handed me the mirror… Whoa! My round face had angled cheeks and my eyes were gorgeous (if I do say so myself). Sarah works magic with that eyelash glue… You don’t even feel it! I was very happy with how my look turned out.
For other members of our party who were not as comfortable with make up (Sarah was really attuned to this) she went really light and worked with each one to get the look they were happy with. All of them were super happy and a few of them said more make up please!
I would highly recommend Sarah’s work to anyone looking for a make up artist. She has great skills, quality products, and for the germ freaks, Sarah cleaned her professional brushes after each use. YES — each and every time.
Tips: Sarah is also super friendly, down to earth with great taste in music. She had Pandora in the background as she worked.

Sarah Dean did a wonderful job with my make-​up and bridesmaids for my wedding. I don’t wear a lot of make-​up and this was my first time getting my make-​up professionally done, so needless to say I was worried. But Sarah was very good at listening to how I wanted my make-​up done (to look natural), and did a lot of adjusting during our practice run to make sure we got it just right. She never questioned my opinions or tried to pressure me into a particular look. Sarah executed perfectly on my wedding day and I was not stressed since I knew I was in great hands. Definitely would recommend her!

Sarah Dean is a preferred vendor with the Lafayette Park Hotel. I actually fell in love with her work right away and booked her services. The test run was at a hair salon, and I really felt for Sarah to deal with my teary eyes. Ooops still feel bad about it, Sarah! Anyways, it turned out really nice! My homework was to find a lipstick that I liked.
And who would have thought that forgetting my toothbrush for my hen weekend, would lead me to the lipstick matching the flower bouquet!
Anyways, Sarah was on time and finished my look within 30 minutes. Just as I planned! The pictures turned out really nicely! I can highly recommend Sarah.

Sarah is amazing. She did the makeup for my wedding party a week ago, and I couple not have been happier. I have had professional makeup done a couple times and never been completely blown away, until I met Sarah. Me and my entire wedding party looked better than I could have imagined (I may have said that to my bridesmaids a lot, not sure they took it as a compliment– think «I didn’t know you could look so good!» oops). She is completely professional but at the same time a blast to be around during the long wedding preparation. I was so pleased, words cannot even begin to explain. I wish she could do my makeup every day.

It has taken me a while to write this review because I couldn’t figure how to put into words how amazing Sarah is.
Sarah did my makeup for my engagement photos, my wedding and my brother’s wedding. She is a calm and wonderful person who makes sure you look amazing for your big day.
Sarah came to my house in San Ramon to do my makeup for my engagement shoot early on a Saturday with only 2 days notice. Our photo shoot was in Santa Cruz and I was stunned how long the makeup lasted. 12 hours later and I still looked great! I couldn’t wait to work with her again. She did makeup for myself, 6 bridesmaids and my mom for my wedding and once again outdid herself. My bridesmaids and mother looked stunning! And I looked pretty fantastic if I say so myself. :) She helped keep me calm and collected throughout the getting ready process. I can’t recommend her highly enough! She has become part of the family as evidenced by the fact she did my makeup, the brides and both mother’s makeup for my brother’s wedding 2 months later.
Sarah is a real blessing on your wedding day and will become a lifelong friend!

I’ve had the privilege of working with Sarah at a number of weddings and on several other projects. Sarah did an amazing job on my makeup for my friends wedding. I was a bridesmaid who doesn’t normally wear any makeup. She asked a ton of questions about my makeup use and questions to ensure that I liked it! She went light on my makeup and enhanced all my natural features. I have never loved getting my makeup done, but I really enjoyed the work she did!

Sarah and who she brings with her to assist are amazing!!! She did my make up for my bridal shower and wedding. Along with 12 other ladies. She has also done a few weddings i have been in. Everyone looks amazing and love it! She is truly the best make up artist out there. You will never be Disappointed. I was recently lucky enough to have Sarah do my makeup for all of my wedding events. She is absolutely AMAZING. I prefer a more natural look & she did a brilliant job every time. When it comes to planning your wedding, it can be the most overwhelming thing. The last thing I wanted to worry about is how I looked on my wedding day. Sarah and I have known each other for years and I’ve always known her as a major artistic soul. Even in high school her makeup was fantastic! I knew she had talent after reviewing even some drawings of hers. They were extremely precise.
I lived in Las Vegas, my now-​husband lived in Los Angeles and our wedding was in Pleasanton, CA. We travelled several times to finalize wedding plans and on one of our trips (about four months prior to our wedding) I met with Sarah for a bridal makeup consultation. I originally wanted a smokey eye look for my wedding and she applied it with perfection.
Unfortunately, as the wedding came closer I became indecisive with my look and wanted a more classic makeup application. With no time to meet her again, I completely trusted that she could do no wrong. My makeup was FLAWLESS! She really took her time with me to make sure I was completely happy with the end result. My makeup lasted all night and even the next morning when I woke up (haha, too much champagne).
I would recommend Sarah a million times over not just for weddings but for any fashion related photoshoots and runway. Someone send this girl to New York and Europe!!!

Sarah was recommended to me by my hair stylist once I got engaged and as soon as we met for my bridal makeup trial, I knew I was in good hands. Sarah took the time to really listen to what I wanted, she asked questions to get to know me and was very professional, but also so friendly! After the trial was done, I knew there was no question about who would be doing my makeup! I had never looked so pretty and I was so excited to have my wedding makeup done by her!
On my wedding day, she did my makeup, as well as 6 of my bridesmaid’s makeup and we were all beyond amazed at the job she did! I thought I couldn’t look prettier than I did at the makeup trial, but somehow I did on that day! I now know that I will never look as pretty as I did on my wedding day! I really can’t say enough about the incredible job that Sarah did and how much fun we all had working with her, especially since it was her birthday on my wedding day! I had the pleasure of working with this girl today. She traveled all the way from Concord to San Francisco. She did the makeup and we did the hair. This girl does amazing work! She works wonderfully under pressure. She did 10 people’s makeup in only 3 hours which I thought was amazing. She is articulate friendly and professional. I would highly recommend her and hope to have the pleasure of working with her again!

Sarah is extraordinary! She has done my makeup for a boudoir shoot, engagement photos, and my wedding. She completely blew my mind every time. At my wedding, she made my mom look like a movie star. My mom never wore makeup a day in her life and now she wears it every day because of how great she felt when Sarah put makeup on her.
Sarah knows exactly what will look good, but she also loves to hear your ideas and somehow intuitively knows exactly what you want. She works with photographers all the time and knows exactly what will look best on camera (check out her website to see all the amazing stuff she’s done).
At my wedding I forgot to bring my own lipliner, powder, and gloss for the rest of the day and she left makeup for me to keep and wouldn’t let me give it back to her. Talk about great service. She is so incredible at makeup that I wouldn’t even care if she was completely rude, I would still use her! But she is the best in every poissible way.
And not only is she the best makeup artist, she also has wonderful energy and she totally brightens up the room :).
The boudoir shoot I did with her and a photographer she works with was one of the best days of my life. I felt soooo pretty and we just had so much fun playing with ideas. She made sure both my hair and makeup looked perfect in every picture.

Sarah Dean is an outstanding, top-​notch makeup artist who is professional and very talented! I’ve worked with Sarah for many photo shoots and each time she has been incredibly creative and… hilarious! What an absolute joy to be around.
