Mike and Steve are the two most curious, professional and helpful people I have ever met. I took my Dodge Ram to their shop at the urging of a friend. The truck needed much attention and had several problems that needed fixing. Not only was Steve able to do the work the same day and get me back on the road, but he was able to complete the work for significantly less then Mike originally quoted me. Most shops would have just charged the original quote, but not these guys! I will definitely be bringing my vehicles here as long as they are open and will encourage everyone I know to do the same!

I brought a Volvo XC90 with super HIGH miles (214K) to these guys to do a pre-​purchase inspection for me. They did it for FREE… and gave me a list of things that needed to be addressed in the near future. I bought the car and brought it back to Performance Auto for the work to be done. I told them that I only wanted to spend XXX amount of money right now. They did almost everything on the list and even threw in an extra gasket change without charging us labor (because the safety of my children is important to him, Mike told me). Money is always tight in our family because we are military and the fact that they didn’t overcharge us (like a dealership would have) was such a nice change. Wow. And if that wasn’t enough… Mike called me Friday morning and told me that my car was done. Then he blew my mind and told me that he was going to deliver it to me within the hour. I LIVE IN FAIRFIELD!!! That is customer service like I haven’t seen my entire 2 years in CA. He dropped my car off to me with a smile and a hug. I will service my Volvo with them for as long as I own it (my Nissan as well if they will fix that too). They have won my business by being old fashioned, great, honest mechanics. And the customer service is unbeatable!!!

Steve is probably one the best mechanics I have ever met. He’s honest and takes enormous pride in his work. I’ve had the opportunity to work with many Porsche trained mechanics on some of Porsche’s factory funded and partnered race cars, and Steve is easily as good.
Steve has a very meticulous eye, and will find everything that needs to be fixed. That’s not to say they will recommend that everything be repaired right away, but more so to let you know as to work out a plan to have your car working in tip-​top shape. Steve takes immense pride in his work, and enjoys your car running correctly as much as you.

This is my first Unilocal review and I’m so glad it was such an amazing experience. I was originally a little hesitant about taking my Honda to a Volvo specialist, but a good friend insisted. Boy am I glad I did. Mike and Steve got the job done and in quick time. The work was top-​notch and the service was excellent. Volvo or not I will be taking all of my vehicles there from now on! Mike and Steve will definitly be seeing me again.

Trying to find a quality car repair shop is very difficult. I feel very lucky that I came across this company via Unilocal.What a find! Mike and his son Steve are fantastic. They are up front and honest and actually listen to what you have to say about your vehicle. Mike even suggested I not take care of a couple things because they weren’t necessary. Amazing! They are also willing to drive out and drop off my car for me. This is what customer service and a good company should be like.

Mike and his son are the best! I had a Volvo and they went above and beyond what was required of them. There pricing was fair and work exceptional. I have recommended them many times to my friends. They are a breath of fresh air in the auto repair industry.

I was introduced to Mike and his shop many years ago by a friend who is a serious car guy. I’ve taken my Volvos there for service and was always happy. When I bought an Infiniti, I knew that it would be some time before I would be returning to Mike for service, but it finally was time. Altho Mike and his son Steve’s specialty is Volvos, they service all other makes of cars. As in the past, received excellent, rapid service at a very reasonable price. Performance Automotive is one of the best car repair shops that I have used.
