I was having shortness of breath and a little chest pain. After a series of lab test, Dr. Richard Chang came in to conclusion that I need an angio. He found out that my left artery was 98% clogged. I got a 28 mm stent and hopefully a longer healthier life. Thank you so much Dr. Richard Chang.

I first had the pleasure of meeting Dr Chang on Labor day weekend in 2012! Managed to start having heart attack while playing bball at my usual sat morning gym game and ended up at John Muir in Concord… Into the Cath Lab I went and Dr Chang to the rescue!!! After «waking» up following, my stent procedure, I see a giddy Dr Chang reassuring me that I was going to be ok and telling me that I had a «widowmaker» clot that was now gone and I was a lucky guy. Cant say enough about Dr Chang, as subsequent interaction has proven him to be a caring, interested, dedicated and skillful physician. Nice guy too!!!

OK, so now I’ve «graduated» to having a cardiologist. Dr. Chang is warm, kind, intuitive about asking relevant questions, and seems a very solid clinician (based on his questions/feedback/recommendations) and a great patient advocate. Terrific rapport! I’m disgusted that my primary physician dropped the ball so very badly for several years, but at least he finally DID refer me to Dr. Chang. Who absolutely seems to both know what he’s doing, and cares about his patients (in this case, me) as people. I have hope! :-)

Chest pain while working out, went to ER @ John Muir — Concord and was lucky to draw Dr Chang. Angiogram and 2X bypass followed. He saved my life. Very grateful to be in his care — and still around to Unilocal about it.
