Being independent producers with a state of the art sound stage, green screen, HD cameras, sound booth and three Final Cut Studio edit suites, we are able to produce high end video and graphics at some of the lowest costs in the industry. The entire facility is also available for rental, including computer stations and conference room.

History

Established in 1987.

Second Sight Video Productions was incorporated in San Francisco in 1987 and relocated to the East Bay in 1991. We produce high quality, creative video content for delivery on disc, tape, broadcast and on the web.

Over the years, we have worked for a variety of clients, from major companies such as PG&E and Shell Oil, to small, family run businesses and individuals. Our client list also includes many of the Bay Area’s top law firms and banks.

Since 1991, Second Sight has served as consultants to the City of Emeryville in broadcasting their government access TV programming, and in 2001 oversaw the installation of a new audio/​visual system in the city’s newly remodeled Town Hall.

Meet the Business Owner

Jim and Dave W.

Business Owner

Jim Davidson is a 1980 graduate of the Radio-​TV-​Film department of Northwestern University in Chicago. Jim worked at Swell Pictures and KMOX-​AM radio in St. Louis. Jim is an experienced writer and producer, and is a past President of AdMark, the Bay Area Advertising Club.

Jim lives in Martinez, CA with his wife, Donna. He has two children, Drew and Sarah, and two step-​children, Danny and Jennifer.

Dave Weingarten is a graduate of the School of Fine Arts, at the University of Evansville in Indiana, where he served as Production Director at WUEV FM and as Production Assistant at the University’s Television Facility. As a consultant in San Francisco’s corporate community he coordinated a central consolidation at the Bank of California and the implementation of digital documentation. Dave is an accomplished motion graphics artist and the «the go-​to guy» for Final Cut Pro expertise.

Dave lives in Moraga, CA with his wife, Anna, and their two children, Noah and Casey.
