Root Canal treatment isn’t easy for either the patient or the surgeon but I have a very different opinion now.
From the time you enter the clinic and are greeted by the reception all the way to the x-​ray, the doctor and again to the reception it feels like you are being genuinely looked after, asked how you feel, offered coffee and medication.
The next day I received a call from the Doctor asking how I was feeling! This is a true reflection of how each member of the team feels about their work and that’s how they welcome you!
You guys changed my opinion of a root canal!

I had my first root canal with Dr. Gulden, and it was as pleasant an experience as you could have. Cassandra and the other woman at the front desk (I didn’t get her name) were extremely friendly, as was Monica, Dr. Gulden’s assistant. The office looks more like a spa, and they play music, which helps. Dr. Gulden was very efficient and professional, and I never felt any pain during or after the procedure. Highly recommended!

It’s hard to believe, I am surprised myself. How does a dentist office get five stars? The day before I got a reminder call from the office, clarifying time and their location and parking situation. Dr Golden and the staff are professional, knowledge and courteous. They use the latest imaging technology for diagnosing your condition. Even though it’s an extra $ 200, it’s well worth the cost to get it done right the first time. I hope I don’t have to come back, but if I do it would be here.

A root canal is never fun but in the hands of Shadeland Endodontics & Dr. Wendy Gulden you will receive the best of care. I needed to be seen immediately and Cassandra got me in right away. The staff is friendly, professional and helpful. The office is clean, welcoming and modern. Dr. Wendy Gulden is knowledgeable, professional and kind. Dr. Gulden explained everything to me clearly and so I was able to understand the procedure. Her goal was to provide me the best of care and as little pain as possible. The minute I stepped into the office I knew I was going to receive the exceptional service and dental care. I would recommend Shadelands Endodontics to all my family and friends. Thank you Dr. Gulden, Cassandra and all the staff to taking such good care of me.

I’ll start off by saying that NO ONE wants to get a root canal… BUT…if you have to get one, this is your place!!!
My dentist actually referred me to Endo Care (Alameda, Oakland and Orinda) on a Monday morning for an emergency root canal. Unfortunately the earliest appointment they had in either location was Weds late afternoon so I took what I could get. Low and behold, on Tues morning I received a call saying their affiliated company (Shadelands) could take me on Weds afternoon because of a cancellation. I jumped for joy (SCORE!).
I won’t get into all of the boring details so the long of the short of it is this — the location is easy to get to, the office is classy, the employees are super friendly and very accommodating, Dr. Gulden is awesome, the procedure was painless and the follow-​up was stellar. Need I say more?

If you need this treatment, then this is the place to go. The staff is very professional and caring. A week after my treatment I needed a prescription. I called the office at 4:15 on Friday afternoon. Cassandra stayed until 5:25 (after they closed) until she got authorization to get me a prescription. Very impressive.

It is usually unfortunate circumstances that takes one to an Endodontist.
I had to visit Shadelands Endodontics to clear up poor workmanship by another dentist.
I would describe the experience and WAY better than I expected.
Professional, friendly and very precise and careful.
Hence the five stars.

Fantastic dental team! I was very anxious about needing my first root canal (and I’m in the dental industry). Let’s face it, we’re all babies when it comes to dentistry. Dr. Milan was gentle and absolutely wonderful. Her entire staff is super friendly and professional. I felt at ease the minute I walked in the door. The procedure itself was quick and completely painless. I went back to work immediately after the root canal, and it was like no big deal. Thank you Shadelands Endodontics for making my experience so positive. You guys are awesome!!! And, the office is modern, clean and totally up-​to-​date with the latest technology. Parking is a breeze too… great location.

I’m happy to say this is the most efficient doctors office I have ever visited! Last week, I had my first really bad tooth ache. When the excruciating pain didn’t subside, I called my dentist, Dr. Mattingly. At that time, Dr. Mattingly, referred me to Dr. Gulden for a root canal. I arrived at Dr. Gulden’s office five minutes later and they worked quickly to get me in and treated. From start to finish, the receptionist, dental hygienist, and doctor were fabulous. I arrived at 10:30 AM and was out by 11:00 AM to pick my daughter up from school. Obviously, the whole root canal wasn’t finished in a half an hour but I was 100% out of pain when I left. I was more than happy to come back the next day to finish the procedure. Really, hats off to Dr. Gulden’s office. I told them I only had 45 minutes and they fixed my tooth in 30! Thank you so much, you girls are the best!

I was so happy after seeing Dr. Gulden last week! I had seen my dentist for a painful tooth, He thought I needed a root canal but did not have time to do it, and referred me to Dr. Gulden. She got me in the same day.
Dr. Gulden’s diagnostic skills are first rate — she did some tests on my tooth and determined that it I did not have a nerve issue with the tooth and therefore didn’t need a root canal! So happy to hear that! Then, she did tests on my jaw to determine whether my jaw was referring pain to the tooth. It was! So instead of an expensive and time consuming root canal that I did not need, she gave me home treatments to calm down my aching jaw muscle. Two days later, all the pain was gone.
As a patient, you just have to stand back in awe when you are lucky enough to have an doctor with those type of skills. The whole experience from beginning to end was excellent. Her office is beautiful and her staff is great. Thank you!

I had a root canal done by Dr. Golden last night It was great (on the norm I don’t have much pain from dental work)!! I had never had a root canal before… But there was no pain at all I didn’t have to stop her once! (I even drove strait to my dentist afterwards and got the temporary crown put on in the same night) Everything was very clean and organized, and the front desk girls were so friendly! Thanks Shadelands endodontics!!!

They saved my tooth!
After being told by several dentists that my tooth was unsavable (after a pretty unsuccessful root canal at a different dentist) I was referred to a specialist at Shadelands. Their staff is incredibly courteous, and their facility was top notch. They were incredibly professional, and had my permanent filling done within the hour. No pain, and no judgement! 4 months later, and my tooth still feels great!

Let’s be real — going to the dentist for any reason is never fun… especially not when they need to figure out if you need a route canal! But I promise you, Shadelands Endodontics makes it easy! I walked in early for my appointment and Pina (the receptionist) was not only friendly but walked me through the process. After the kind staff took my X-​Rays, Dr. Milan came in for my consult. She was SO friendly and so knowledgable. (Although I didn’t need a route canal, she gave me some awesome advice on how to alleviate the sensitive pain I was having — and it totally worked!) I’ve been to an Endodontics office 3 times prior (luckily I’ve never needed a route canal) but I can say that this is the first time that the Dr. actually sat down with me for a longer period of time. She gave me some tips and discussed future care, if we needed to go down that route. Usually they talk to me for 5 minutes and say, «Nope — you don’t need a route canal. You’re good to go!» But she really valued her time with me which I greatly appreciated.
Side note — their bathroom was so pretty and clean! It makes you feel like they take pride in their appearance and cleanliness. They even had floss and travel mouth-​wash for you. Clearly they go the extra step to make you smile (Yes…pun intended :)

I was so glad my dentist referred me to Dr. Milan and Shadelands Endodontics; she and her entire team were fabulous. They were able to see me the same day I requested, which, believe, me when you are in a lot of pain, goes a long way! I had one root canal in the past but this experience was far superior. Everyone was kind, gentle and explained every step to me so I felt well informed throughout the process. I would definitely recommend Dr. Milan and her team any day!

No one wants a root canal, BUT if you have to have one, this is the place to go. Melinda at the front desk is just incredibly helpful and sweet (helped me tremendously in understanding and maximizing my benefits). Dr. Gulden is a whiz. She was very easy-​going, clear, and efficient in her work.
The office is modern with all the newest and best gadgets.

I went to Dr. Gulden for a root canal. (Unpleasant in the best of circumstances!) Dr. Gulden was gentle and personable. She put me at my ease, explaining everything as she went along, helping me to relax through the process. When I experienced some pain after surgery, she was immediately attentive. She prescribed medication and reassured me that everything was on track. I highly recommend her!

How do you give 5 Stars for a root canal? Still have a head full of Novacaine? Nope.
Shadelands Endodontics does every thing right. The facility is state of the art, the design and ambiance are modern and calming. Melinda at the front desk walks you through the billing before you start and answers any questions. Dr. Gulden and her assistants were gentle, caring and very thorough. She even uses a microscope to perform exacting and perfect work. She even made it as pain free a procedure as possible, taking care to continuously check my comfort level.
While I don’t enjoy dental work, and who really does, Dr Gulden is a great Endodontist with considerable skills. I can see why Dr Cavalli, my dentist, refers his patients here for root canals. This office really focuses on great service and positive outcomes for their patients!

I would recomend this office to anyone needing a root canal or surgery. I’m from the Napa Valley and would never go anywhere else.Dr. Rezai is a very caring and concerned doctor. Its was a positive and painless procedure. I have very difficult roots and had them treated before and never was out of pain until I saw Dr. Rezai, who realized what needed to be done. Thank you so much for making this a pleasant expedience. They also have the best office staff. I will recommend all my friends and family to this office. Thanks again. DEBBIE

I am very impressed with Shadelands Endodontics. Beautiful and modern clinic. Top notch equipment and instruments. All their staff is very friendly and professional. Doctor Gulden did an amazing job on my very challenging root canal procedure yesterday. I have very curvy roots, due to braces when I was a kid and was in and out in 1hr 15.
Will definitely recommend.
