Barbara Lopez is simply the Best, a real class act, treats you with care and kindess in what i believe to be the Safest, Cleanest best run storage facility in the entire bay area, We have used this storage facility for seven years without any issues. This is by far the best storage place around! They loaned us the box truck for 2 days to move all of our things. Barbara and John are wonderfully warm and helpful. At a stressful time in our lives, we were very grateful to have such a nice, clean, safe place to put our things. If you have something to store, this is the place.

They have a wide variety of sizes depending on what you need to store, plus you can use their truck to load it up if the Uhaul doesn’t cut it. Both the check-​in area and the units themselves are very clean.
You can choose indoor and outdoor units, and be ready to smile for the video cameras, because there are several around the facility to keep out undesirables. If that is the reason it costs a bit more I’m ok with that.

I highly recommend this facility. After a relative passed away, we stored all of his possessions here. Kathy and everyone I came in contact with were so kind and courteous I felt very confident that my 82 year old mother would have a unit close to her home with a staff that was truly helpful and understanding. The grounds themselves are very well kept, the units were spotless and the whole premise feels very secure and tucked away. The prices are also very competitive and they really do what they can to work with you. A++++

We shopped a number of different storage facilities in the area and even though there were no attractive move-​in incentives (such as a free month’s rent, offered by many competitors), we still chose Shadelands. We found it to be clean, safe, convenient, friendly and professionally managed. We relocated to the area and stayed in an apartment for the first few months and most of our stuff had to go into storage during that time. I always felt everything was completely safe and secure and it gave me peace of mind. I did not feel the same sense of confidence at some of the other places we visited. Storage is sometimes a necessity and I highly recommend Shadelands.

The sanctuary of miscellaneous materialistic junk. Ok this place is cool, super secure. I’d guess +90% are all single level units– major plus! Price is a bit high, but the service and other incentives like the ability to utilize the moving van is nice.
This is my second and hopefully last time using a storage facility. I’d like to give a bit of advice, never put extremely large items of furniture in storage, it will ultimately prolong your stay and essentially money out of you pocket.
I’m almost tempted to give this place only 4 stars because its relatively expensive.
