After a competitor charged me the full amount, while telling me they couldn’t test my car due to the battery having been replaced too recently, I made an appointment here. Immediately when I brought they car in, they told me that there would be no problem doing the check. They saw me within 10 minutes of my appointment time, and that’s all there was to it. Pretty painless. And, unlike their competitor, they wouldn’t have charged me if they couldn’t do the test.

Bryan was great. He explained why my car didn’t pass and how to fix it. His tips worked and I was grateful. The only negative came to the free retest which is offered on their coupon but not posted at their facility. Apparently the free retest is not always included. Ultimately Bryan was able to honor the coupon I presented but not without some discussion. I think if they are going to be a free retest center it should just be posted and available to everyone. Not just sometimes depending on how much you pay. Overall Bryan did a great job and was very concerned about my leaving a happy customer. 5 stars for Bryan. 0 stars for the retest shenanigans.

If you need to come back (we did) try to come back to the same technician. The original tech wrote on the paperwork «free retest.» The other tech working the day we came back wouldn’t honor it. So our options are to pay for the retest or come back another day when the original tech is working.
If they would have honored the note the tech wrote on the original test receipt — easily 5 stars. Giving me a lame «the owner just changed the policy» spiel… not cool.
3 stars for being polite and quick. Got the job done.

This place is so great! I had to get a smog check and a new license plate holder attached to my car, coming from out of state. These guys got me in right away, explained the smog check, and were able to install my new license plate cover on the front immediately. They gave me $ 20 off my smog, and were so extremely nice and pleasant. I will definitely go here for an oil change in the future. This place is amazing!

Fast service, got there right when they were opening the doors. Left about 15 minutes later. Not sure how the value is compared to other places. Passenger car costs $ 80, but I had a $ 20 discount from Unilocal.Pretty sure most places will say $ 30 smog and nail you with other fees. Would go here again for my next smog.

Drove out of kaiser and noticed the smog sign and found best customer service and $ 40 cheap total cost plus a nice cool bottle of water to take with me on a hot day!
