Vitale Construction

We built our custom home 3 years ago and have learned to be very careful when we choose our contractors. I consider myself an expert in construction. Most contractors never even bother giving you a written proposal and rarely return calls. Joe, the owner and general contractor is not only very professional, but honest. And he returns my calls! He is also a stickler about his guys keeping the job site clean, which is very important to us.
I can honestly say that Vitale Construction is reliable, professional and very good at what they do: building! They are not «cheap», but it’s worth it because you get what you pay for!

Warning!!! Do Not Use This Contractor! First off, I hired this contractor due to a referral from a trusted real estate agent. Joe Vitale outsourced most, if not all, of the work and was not on site when majority of the work was being conducted. The final product of the work performed was below industry standard in terms of painting, carpeting, and finishing the project to customer satisfaction. I personally spent about $ 3600 to have 3 interior walls painted, spackling of a few cosmetic damages in my garage to drywall surfaces, installing a new light fixture in my master bath, having my kitchen tiled, and securing a few screws in the subfloor to floor joists, in various areas, throughout the house. First of all, painting conducted was done carelessly and the corner cuts have a sloppy appearance. Second, the crew member that spackled my garage did not sand the dried spackle, and missed a bunch of holes and cracks. Third, one of the workers installed a light fixture in my master bath and failed to touch up the paint that was exposed or fill in the screw holes with spackle; stating, «I don’t have any touch up paint in my truck.» Forth, paying to have the subfloors tightened down was a complete waste of money… The squeaks simply shifted to various other areas of the floor throughout my home… Fifth, I had this contractor install two fans. One of the switches to the fan was installed upside down. They did do a decent job laying tile and decorative pieces throughout in my small kitchen; however, the transitions (tile to carpet) were installed poorly.
Nevertheless, I would highly suggest you use another contractor to meet your remodeling needs! Vitale Construction got the job done; however, the poor quality of work and failure to pay attention to detail really showed at the end of the day.
I have a very hard time seeing how on earth anyone could give these guys 5 stars based on the work they performed at my place… Comment posted by Daxz S., on 4÷16÷2011, must be a personal friend or a relative. 2 Stars at Best!

I am very thrilled with Vitale Construction. Joe Vitale, the general contractor is very professional and fast. His work is very precise and I can always count on him. I’ve had Joe’s company do many jobs for me and I’m always impressed far beyond my expectations. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a remodel or just a quick job. He has taken a house for me that was a dump and turned it into a diamond. Nice work Joe!
