Your Event By Erin

We used Erin as our wedding day-​of coordinator, and couldn’t be happier. Prior to the big day, Erin helped us select vendors and gave us advice on how to prepare for the wedding. We even used her services for flowers and finishing touches for the wedding.
On the wedding day itself Erin kept everyone on track, made sure my bride stayed calm, and helped us both enjoy ourselves. We highly recommend her services.

It’s really easy to give someone 5 stars when everything goes «perfectly.» But sometimes it’s when things don’t go exactly as expected that one finds out who really stands out, and in this case it’s Erin. To give some context, we recently celebrated our son’s first birthday (which is a huge event in our culture) and the initial meetings with Erin were spot on. Her ideas, taste and vision were aligned with mine and I was so excited to work with her. After our initial «idea board» meeting I couldn’t stop smiling because the details she had said she would bring to the party were so cute and unique and I couldn’t wait to see them brought to life on the big day. Throughout the planning process she was extremely responsive, detail oriented, kind and just awesome in all ways. We also threw her the curveball of working with the schedule of two small children with their naps and she approached it with calm and flexibility.
I should also mention that I’m an extremely picky and detail oriented person and lets say I put the «A» in type A personality and am a perfectionist so my expectations are always high. Having said this, on the day of the event the party’s timeline, vendors, organizational details, logistics went smoothly. However there were a couple of items that we had discussed at the initial «idea board» that didn’t happen and unfortunately they were related to significant cultural and family tradition aspects of the event so suffice to say I was saddened and frankly a bit shocked on what had happened. Mind you that the guests had an awesome time and it was a magical party and no one else noticed except mama bear.
Usually at this point it would go downhill with most vendors, but I’m someone who likes to ask people «what happened» when things don’t go according to expectations so I contacted Erin. First off, I could tell she was deeply affected and saddened and took it to heart that the event had not met my expectations. What I found impressive was her passion and heart in this party was genuine and she took it personally that I wasn’t completely happy. Additionally, at no time was she defensive or coming up with excuses. She listened and asked without prompting «what can I do» and understood where I was coming from. We ended up doing a redo of the missing elements and while not a replacement for what I had wished happened at the party, it ended up being perfect. Additionally her professional conduct, authenticity as an overall sweetheart of a person and personal investment in her events speaks volumes.
So would I use Erin again? In a heartbeat yes!
If it wasn’t clear, she has the most amazing style and taste that really is unique and personal. My husband is the rustic, natural type and I’m the whimsical, styled, elegent type and she was able to combine both. I also know that we ALL make «boo boos» for one reason or another and sometimes things happen and I know I wouldn’t want to be defined by something that didn’t go quite right. I know that Erin has been in this business since 2008 and based on her other reviews and what I did experience from her she is stellar at what she does but as with all things, sometimes something just falls through the crack and in this case it was some elements from our event. And honestly, I think we were that 1 in a million and any and all future events with Erin would be pefect :) But what defines someone to me is how they react/​respond when confronted with it and Erin’s response couldn’t have been better. So 5 truly deserved stars for Your Event by Erin.

Erin has helped me put the finishing touches on a couple of events I have hosted, most importantly my daughter’s first birthday party. It was a cowgirl themed bbq, held at a park, and I never knew it was possible for picnic tables to look so good! She showed up with arms full of finishing touches, and in no time flat the tables were transformed into beautiful, functional buffet set ups, with runners and cake stands and flowers. Her attention to detail is impeccable. Her planning is thoughtful as to the guests needs and comforts, what works within the space, what layout encourages mingling, or «help yourself» — it’s those things that makes an event seamless. Additionally, Erin’s style is impeccable. She has a knack for using lovely things in a way that feels effortless and welcoming. The only negative I could report is that sadly, I was already married before I met Erin, so I didn’t have the chance for her to plan my wedding!

Planning a wedding is overwhelming! Our venue strongly suggested that we hire a day-​of coordinator (best idea ever!), and that kicked off our search for a wedding planner. As we made our way down the long list of recommended coordinators, it became more and more clear how important this role was going to be to our big day, and how many moving parts there were going to be! We spoke to Erin and hit it off immediately. She is so incredibly down to earth and easy to talk to, our search ended with that phone call — and we couldn’t have been happier with our decision.
Erin is incredibly visually talented, and genuinely cares about her clients. She’s open to feedback, comes to the table with outstanding ideas, and really makes the process of planning for your wedding seamless and stress-​free. In addition to wedding planning, Erin does wedding floral design — which saved us the hassle of having to bring another partner on board, and it ended up being perfect as she was our go-​to person on all visual and floral logistics. She had a birds eye view of our wedding details from top to bottom, and the end result was perfection. I couldn’t have asked for more with our flowers, and with all the details that made our big day so special — she really nailed it!
Leading up to the wedding, Erin was extremely attentive, responsive, and always took the time to answer all of our questions. She worked with the venue and all our other vendors to coordinate everything perfectly, and we couldn’t have been happier with the outcome. The day was seamless, everything went as planned, and it will remain in the books as one of the best days of our lives.
Erin was so easy to work with, and provided all the guidance (aka hand holding!) and advice we needed along the way — we truly felt that we lucked out finding her! It was like planning a wedding with one of your closest friends. We recently recommended Erin to one our friends who recently got engaged, and know that their day will be just amazing as ours with Erin on their team.

Erin is wonderful. She was the day-​of coordinator for my reception at Farmstead (St. Helena) and I honestly can’t say enough about how great she was. From the many emails she answered without hesitation, to her professionalism at the reception, I’m soooooo glad that I had the opportunity to work with Erin. By the end of the experience I felt like we’d been friends for years! And, actually, it made me want to have more big parties so that I could work with her again :-) I would trust Erin to plan any type of event and she is worth every cent. Her style is impeccable and she made my reception exactly how I pictured it in my head. My husband and I could enjoy the day and preform our duties without worrying at all about things running smoothly. Plus, both my parents commented on how great she was, so I know it’s not just how she treated me, but every guest at the reception. Honestly, I could go on forever about how great my experience with Erin was, but I won’t :-) Thank you Erin!!!

I would give Erin 100 stars if I could. She saved my wedding and my sanity.
I was originally going to do a consultation with Erin to help me decide between two venues, but after having coffee with her for an hour, I knew I needed her for the planning process and to be there the day of my wedding. She put together a Pinterest Board for me, and literally brought that board to life! In one word, she is STELLAR. She is kind, creative, organized, knowledgeable and she «speaks wedding».
After selecting our venue, in the course of eight months, we went through THREE site coordinators. Erin made sure I received everything promised to me by the first and second site coordinators. I would have gone bananas if I didn’t have Erin by my side, reassuring me everything was going to be ok. I’ve called her my lawyer, counselor, advisor and dear friend.
The day of was perfection. Erin made sure everyone and everything was where it was supposed to be. All day people told me our wedding was like a fairytale. I could not have done with without Erin.

Erin is AMAZING!!! She did so much for us to ensure that our day was perfect, and it truly was. She understood my vision (or lack thereof ;)), and executed on everything in a better and more creative way than I ever could have. I was never a girl who dreamed of her wedding day and had everything planned… I was kind of at a loss when it came to the details of things. My husband and I picked a venue that we loved –La Playa Hotel at Carmel-​by-​the-​Sea — and basically wanted the wedding to be like that. Which didn’t give Erin much to work with. I think she just understands people and personalities and figured it out on her own!
She is a true professional, works nonstop, and is incredibly responsive and knowledgeable. I’m in the corporate world normally and really struggled with the lack of professionalism in the wedding vendor department. La Playa is gorgeous, but their staff kept turning over, details were getting lost in the shuffle, and I was very concerned and confused throughout the process. Erin handled it! She reassured me that this is common in that industry and her expertise was immensely helpful. She knows how to work with vendors, she knows the culture and etiquette, and has an easy and calming way of handling things for you.
Countless guests told us that our wedding was the best event they’d ever been to, and that is absolutely because of Erin. I would have been lost without her. Plus, she has a whole stash of wedding stuff! Chalkboards, baskets, painted doors, and more! And she’s just so talented and crafty! I didn’t know what DIY was before I met Erin, I’m not skilled the way she is, she just makes it look so easy. She wrote our signs for us and they looked adorable, she told me secret tips about good deals on candles, where to go for what, she just nailed it like crazy. I’ve been to 3 other weddings that she planned and they were all gorgeous, and just what those couples had dreamt of. She can accommodate anyone’s unique style or taste and has experience with every type of venue, personality, location, anything. She is the best ever. My bridal party loved her and so did my mom. Basically anyone who interacted with her loved her. She made our special day special for everyone. Thank you Erin!!!

I’ve worked with Erin twice now, first to plan my wedding and second to plan my work holiday party. For my wedding, we had ideas of things we wanted (or didn’t want), knew the color and general vibe, but Erin asked the perfect questions to effortlessly build a true cohesive vision for our wedding. She helped us find and select a team of amazing vendors. The end result was a wedding that perfectly reflected me and my husband, with so many cute details that I never could have thought of myself. Wedding planning could potentially be very stressful, but I never felt stressed with Erin. From formulating our visions to selecting and coordinating with vendors, to the day of, she had it all taken care of. Her easy going and fun attitude helped me relax and actually enjoy the whole process, and most importantly, our wedding day. I am so glad I had Erin by my side for such an important event and couldn’t imagine a better wedding planning experience.
Because she did such a great job on our wedding, I also hired Erin to plan my work holiday party for around 300 people. I did not have the time or interest in planning a party in this case, so Erin completely took the reigns on this one. She created a hip winter wonderland vibe that was perfect for our young Silicon Valley crew. Everything from the food to the craft cocktails and wine tasting stations were amazing, and the industrial space we chose was completely transformed with minimal involvement from me… just what I was hoping for.
I cannot recommend working with Erin enough for a stress free and FUN planning experience!

Erin and her team at Your Event by Erin are exceptional. With a 3000 mile barrier (we were in NC, wedding was in CA), we had complete faith in Erin to make our wedding one of the most special days of our lives. Our faith paid off and on August 31^st, 2014 we had a truly phenomenal wedding at LMR in St. Helena, CA. Our wedding guests told us that our wedding was the best they had ever been to and we owe all those compliments to Erin. Oh where to begin… I’m fortunate enough to be able to say that I had a perfect wedding day. It would not have been possible without Erin. She is truly amazing.
We threw a lot of curveballs at Erin. Wedding date change, venue change, then another venue change. Erin took all of this in stride and was such a calming force in the entire planning process. Her poise and composure are exactly what you need from a planner leading up to your wedding and on your big day.
Erin is one of those people that makes everything beautiful. For our wedding, I showed her a few photos of tables and flowers that I liked, gave her some incredibly vague guidelines like «outdoor rustic, but not too rustic,» and «I like big bouquets, but not too big,» and she created a day that was even more beautiful than I could have imagined.
During the craziness of our wedding I remember one very distinct moment before I walked down the aisle. Erin had wrangled my niece and nephew, (a 9 month old and a two year old), had them walking down the aisle, (hello, miracle), my mother was FINALLY standing where she should be, (hello, miracle number two), and Erin was calmly and perfectly sending our wedding party down the aisle. I remember taking the moment to soak in my family, the sunshine, the music, and thinking «thank god Erin is here — this wouldn’t have worked without her.»
My father is not the complimenting type, but he still talks about our experience with Erin nearly a year later. I’m so thankful for her and for all the work she did for our wedding. She was meant for this job!

Erin is AMAZING! After interviewing 5 wedding planners, within just a few minutes of meeting with Erin I knew she was going to be perfect! Erin is great to work with, attentive, organized, kind and hard working! Erin is creative, she has endless ideas, examples and an amazing vision. Erin executed everything perfect and made our wedding day stress free and look fabulous! All my other vendors emailed me with praise for Erin as well! I can’t say enough good things about Erin!
